Excellent!!!! We loved every bite! Crunchy chips, fresh guacamole, and delicious salsa! We had the Maria’s Burritos and the Rancheros Enchiladas. Absolutely delicious!!! We can’t wait to go back and try something different!

Not much more to say than this is the best mexican my husband and I both have ever had and we LOVE mexican. Been here twice (not local to us) and gushed about it both times. Cannot wait to come back!
We dine here often. Food is consistent, true Mexican, service is great and price are reasonable. Fed a family of four yesterday for $36.00. We eat a la carte usually because some of us don't like the rice or beans.
Maria (and Elaine) are fantastic hosts! I had tacos and they were amazing! Will definitely be back!

The fact that this only has 4 stars is really bewildering because let me tell you something, they deserve all 5. Their food is absolutely delicious and service is always very good and tentative when I go there. I used to go there on my lunch break so much that my waitress started memorizing my order. I know that they’re mostly known for their Birria dishes (which are very good and flavorful) but please do not sleep on the rest of the menu. They have the best fajitas I have ever had, as well as the arroz con pollo. When I ordered the arroz con pollo I substituted tomato sauce with the cheese dip. It is so so so good I almost ordered another plate of it despite the fact that that was already a LOT of food. Service 10/10. Food and flavor 1000/10. Don’t walk RUN to Maria’s.
I had the Birria grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a dipping broth/consume. My co-worker had the Birria crunch quesadilla with fries and a dipping broth/comsume. Mine was excellent, the Birria was super tender, and the sandwich had a nice portion of birria. The broth/consume was amazing as well. I literally could eat the broth/consume as a soup ! I highly recommend stopping by, or having it delivered when u get a chance!
So many vegan options at this restaurant! My two favorites are the vegan tamales and the vegan burrito. It’s hard to find a lot of great flavorful vegan options in Charlotte that don’t require a lot of modifications. Yeah Maria’s you can order direct from there vegan menu 🤩 Also, their chips and salsa are pretty delicious which for whatever reason is also very hard to come by in Charlotte…
I had Birria tacos in Mexico from a Legendary Family owned Restaurant. I have been searching the USA for the same experience Maria nailed it!! The best!!! My quest is over
The food was really delicious, all entries where flavorful. The service was very good, waitress was very nice and handled everything with care. Portions sizes were very good as well. Definitely a nice spot to enjoy some good food.

Love the authentic Mexican food here! We ordered the Special Nachos with guacamole, the Carne Tacos, a Beef Enchilada, and Maria’s Sincronizada. Everything came out quickly nice and hot, lots of flavor and crunch! 100% definitely recommend!

Place is a bit compact but one of the busiest restaurant around South Blvd neighborhood. Prepare to wait for a little while If you plan to visit with a group.
The decor was lovely and the food was even better. The birria tacos were absolutely amazing. This is going to sound crazy but the beans a rice were the stars of the show for me. They were so freakin delicious. They also served salsa and chips with my meal. I paid $14 for two birria tacos with rice and beans, $20 with the margarita.
This place was also exceptional clean. The food was very flavorful and fast. The staff was very friendly.
I've been hearing about Birria for some time. So when I saw Birria Ramen, we just had to try it. Delicious and generous portion for the price. The Birria Flautas were delicious as well.

GREAT tacos in the South End / LoSo area. Very authentic place, family owned and great service. Thank you to Elaine for your kindness! We had the barria tacos which were 10/10, and they also have a bunch of creative dishes like birria ramen which was very tempting. The prices are super fair and the parking is really easy - in fact Marias is a great way to wait out the traffic on South Blvd!
Real enjoyed my birria taco lunch special. So filing and super delicious. To top it off I also enjoyed a mango margarita that I will be coming back for.
100% recommend. I’m a business owner myself and i am very observant. Customer service was great. The food was extremely delicious. They do get very busy and I hope they take they leap to expand soon as I’m sure it’ll be a total success. Will definitely be a place we come to when visiting Charlotte again.
Food was good and filling. Service was quick. This would be more like a 45nin outing from seating to paying; in and out type. Would be returning here when we visit again.
