Just moved here from Orlando last year. So excited to find this place. Best sushi I have ever had. The rice was excellent, airy and the dinners were just as good. I will definitely go back. Only negative was the 3 loud obnoxious children that kind of ruined the experience. The father did nothing to settle them down, they acted like it was a play ground.
This is the best restaurant in Charlotte for me . The service is great, the food is excellent . The atmosphere is soothing. It is the best place for me to relax and enjoy a delicious meal and a wonderful tasting glass of wine .

The service was awesome! Had Kung pao chicken, an egg roll, and hot & sour soup! The soup was the best I've ever had! My fiancé had the 401 roll and she loved it! We used a Groupon and everything worked great! First time and going back again! �����

Super good. As a crab wonton enthusiast, I feel confident claiming these are some of the best I’ve had (they were so good i forgot to take a picture until there were only 2 left lol). Sushi was fresh and flavorful. Customer service was 10/10, and our food was brought out very quickly! We will be going back 👍🏻
B- The quaint place sitting on the side of a busy road is hard to see but well worth the stop. The staff is friendly enough nothing impressive about them. The food though is great. We've sat in this restaurant on several occasions. The sushi is fresh n rolled perfectly. The variety of flavors work together to provide a unique experience. The price is okay not too expensive but also not cheap if ordering sushi.
Hubs enjoys the sesame chicken. Not overly sweet and it comes with rice cooked perfectly.
I have passed this place 100s of times and never went in. Finally got the chance. The food was pretty good. The 401 Spicy was delicious, not very spicy at all. The fried calamari was a small portion and alright, but the wasabi mayo dipping sauce was phenomenal! Sushi was average sushi you can get anywhere. The teriyaki chicken was pretty good as well. The place overall is more on the expensive side, but the food is pretty good the service and staff was very nice. If you're looking for good Chinese food, you would be happy here.

I was impressed by the rolls. I listed them above in my order of preference. The only one I didn't enjoy was the Volcano Roll. All of them (except the Volcano Roll) were pretty big too.
They have small tables outside that are big enough for two people. We pulled a couple together.
I hadn't heard too much about this spot as far as sushi goes, but I'm glad we stopped by.
Pretty good. A quaint place with a nice atmosphere. Fod was good, but I did get a surprise with my spicy tuna roll...they included some kind of crunchy tempura inside that I didn't expect and have never had in spicy tuna roll anywhere else. Personally, I felt it detracted from the roll. Otherwise, everything else was fine. And our server was very nice!
First time visiting the 401. We are here from out west and wanted sushi all the rolls where delicious we ordered the midnight roll which I guess is seasonal it was fantastic!
Solid delivery option for Chinese food and/or sushi. The firecracker roll was pretty good. The smoked salmon wasn’t my favorite but was different and worth a try. You can’t go wrong with the Sa Cha Beef or 401 Spicy. The latter is like orange chicken and is clearly their specialty.
We have been here a few times, mostly take out. Inside is nothing special, but that's a good thing. The key is the excellent food and warm greeting as you open the door. Have a seat, and enjoy some good ol' favorites like egg foo young. After 5+ visits, food & service is consistently solid!

Absolutely loved the place!!! Happened go there by chance thanks to Groupon. The sushi and the rest of the food was excellent with decent portions and economical price. The sushi was fresh. The service was quick and courteous. We enjoyed our lunch here.
Come here for lunch with the family often. Great staff and delicious food. They've got sushi, Chinese food, and ramen and they do it all very well. The restaurant often comes up with new rolls all the time. Great restaurant, would highly recommend.
Great Chinese food! Currently during covid I got take out. They also have dine in and delivery available. Everyone was in masks and following guidelines. I got the orange chicken- it had oranges in it!! Also recommend the general tsaos chicken. Price is also very reasonable. Serving sizes are good. Our food was very fresh and ready on time. I would highly recommend!!!

Ginbu is always fresh and consistently delicious! The sushi, shrimp lettuce wraps and miso soup are favorites. They are friendly, clean and service is great. When calling in an order, they are on point and never leave out anything.
Had dinner at Ginbu 401 last night. First time we have eaten in the restaurant but have had take out before. I think the sushi is pretty good and for the price - one of the best values around us for sushi. My son and I split a few rolls - eel roll, spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll, and rock and roll roll. It was just the right amount of food for us. My wife had pineapple fried rice with shrimp and a salad. Everyone enjoyed the meal. We will be back for more 🍣!!
Well, again, Ginbu 401 hasn't disappointed us. It's 2023 and it's one of our favorite spots. Today we had separate meals, both delicious and we are taking home leftovers.
From 2021: Have driven by dozens of times and first time diners. Service was wonderful. Fast, friendly, and professional. My wife and I were very pleased. Had Crab Rangoons, vegetable rolls, egg drop soup and split Szechuan Chicken. Very good portions. Delivered hot to the table and plenty to eat. Took picture of plate after we starting eating. I'd recommend.
The sushi is just awesome. Very nicely arranged, fresh tasty fish, great selection and very friendly and nice staff.
2019 UPDATE: WE KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE FOOD ESPECIALLY SUSHI.
GINBU 401 IS MY FAVORITE.
