Ordered food through Postmates like 4-5 times.Love the shrimp 65,kingfisher wings, kodi biryani,Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, chicken 65 and chicken lollipop from this restaurant. Truely value for money food.
I've read the reviews and am not able to comment on the experiences of the other folks, but both of my visits have been fantastic. Each time I visited with a group on a weekend and had the lunch buffet, and it could not have been better. We had plenty of selections and everything was delicious. Our group included people with preferences from almost no-spice (our German exchange student) to very spicy. There was something for everyone. The Tikka Masala and Paneer dishes are very good and my kids loved the Tandoori chicken, but the Vegetable Biryani remains my favorite. I'll definitely be back.
I had a good experience here. I ordered the chilli paneer appetizer, the garlic naan and the chicken tikka masala. All was fantastic. I was worried after reading such horrible reviews. For the record, i came at the beginning of dinner service on a saturday. There was no one there other than a couple take out orders. The man who waited on me was careful to ask how spicy I like my food and he also warned me of a longer wait time if i ordered the tandoori. He checked on me throughout my meal but not too often. I would definitely go here again. I'm excited to have leftovers for tomorrow. :)
Chaat N Dosa is one of the better Indian restaurants in Charlotte. We visited around 6pm on a Tuesday for an early dinner and it wasn’t busy. They’ve an array of dosas, chaats and other North and South Indian dishes available.
We got:
1. Pav Bhaji—it tasted pretty good. The Bhaji was piping hot, and hit the spot.
2. Masala Dosa(with Andhra Spice)—It was quite spicy, and is highly recommended too.
3. Chole Bhature—The dish comes with one large Bhatura and Chole(chickpeas). Bhatura was average, Chole was 10/10.
4. Pani Puri—comes with flavoured spicy water on the side. It tasted pretty delicious, with the flavours bursting inside the mouth.
5. Chai—It was a nice after-meal drink. It comes without sugar, and you can add sugar or sweetener to it.
There are two kiosks for ordering—one for ordering for dining in, and the other for to-go. They also have other desserts items on their menu including Jalebis. The sambhar and chutneys are complimentary and are available in the area adjacent to the check-out area.
The service was prompt, and you need to pick up the food yourself from the serving area. The dining area inside is of decent size, and since the restaurant is located inside a strip mall, ample parking is available outside.
I’ll be back here to try more of their dishes.
Delicious Butterscotch Cake & Great service!!!
Ordered a B'day cake from out of state. Placed order via phone with the owner. Even with less than 24 hours notice, they did all they can to embellish the cake and delivered it on the dot. Folks loved the cake. Very Happy with service & Delivery.

I love this place — good Idli, Dosa and a lot of other good options I’m yet to explore! The Sambar is hot and tasty as well. Great place to eat good Indian food and have a coffee before heading to a movie. This is not a fine-dining place, so if one wants good food and doesn’t mind waiting to pick up food from the counter with token system and hustle then this is the place to enjoy good South Indian food! I wish they had flexible options with snacks in their menu where one can buy small portions of varieties separately instead of having to buy the whole mixed snacks option.
Chaat n Dosa is a counter restaurant, when you walk in, there are two self serve kiosks, so it takes a little time if there are families in front of you. But luckily, they have a QR code on the tables that you can order from your phone! This saves time too. They have a vast menu, I would suggest looking online unless you order the same thing every visit, they have all the staples, dosa, idli, vada and chaats. They have expanded since my first visits and the menu has changed a couple of times. The manager told me they are adding a few items soon too. I'm excited to see what they will add. Always remember to order chai, it is unsweetened, so be sure to grab a sugar if you take it to go! One tip I would give you, if you are trying for the first time, dine in, almost everything is fried and it is so much better than riding it around in your car.
We go to Chat N Dosa mainly for their Rava dosas, medu vada and for their Upma which is world-class...I am not too fond of Upma but this is the only place where I enjoy eating Upma, it's delicious....the utthapams were a little too thick for my liking and felt a little soggy so won't order that again but will definitely be back to try some other items the next time.
I frequently goes to this place to have snacks , since I’m local to Charlotte.
I almost tried all the items in here.
They have very good menu and food also good.
Though they are good I don’t like few things as below.
If you order coffee , they microwave the cold coffee and give it to you. I have witnessed this once. I don’t suggest to eat pre cooked items like punugulu, vada, mysore bajii, pakora and so on. Since these items are not cooked fresh.
It was overwhelming since it was our first time and it was busy, but we managed to order a few vegan options. The food was delicious as usual with Indian food. I plan on going back when it's not so busy so I can ask questions about other vegan items and I noticed a small buffet on the side with curries that I would like to try one day. It was so busy, but they run the place pretty well...the food came out surprisingly quick. Definitely recommend to everyone who loves Indian food!!
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Charlotte! The freshness of the ingredients and authentic flavors cannot be beat. Being vegan, I appreciate all of the options they have! I have dined in the restaurant, had take out and also recently used their catering service for an event, and have been pleased every single time. The owner and staff were wonderful to work with for my recent catering order, from start to finish. The food (especially their bhel puri and samosas) were a hit with our guests and the staff ensured the food was fresh, perfectly packaged and tasty - they exceeded our expectations and I would use them again to host any event in the future!
A Delightful Culinary Haven: Our Wednesday Dinner Tradition
For the past few months, my family and I have been making the weekly journey from North side to our favorite spot, and I can confidently say that we have never been disappointed by the impeccable service and delectable dishes that this restaurant offers.
It's not just a meal; it's an indulgence we eagerly look forward to after our kids' swim session every Wednesday.
What truly sets this place apart is their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. The staff here are not just servers; they are enthusiasts dedicated to making sure every aspect of our meal is perfect. The sambar and chutneys, essential accompaniments to our meals, are consistently replenished and served fresh, enhancing the flavors of every dish they accompany. The freshness and authenticity of these condiments speak volumes about the restaurant's dedication to quality.
One of my personal highlights is their tea, which I always choose to finish my meal with. It's not just any tea; it's a masterpiece. The aroma is tantalizing, and the taste is simply divine. Each sip is a journey in itself, rounding off our meal on a perfect note. If you're a tea enthusiast like me, this place is a must-visit. They certainly know how to brew perfection in a cup.
Our Wednesday tradition has become a cherished ritual, thanks to this remarkable restaurant. We are grateful for the culinary delights, the warm hospitality, and the overall experience that keeps us coming back week after week. If you're looking for a place where great food, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere converge, this restaurant is your go-to destination. Our heartfelt recommendation goes out to everyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.
It’s one of the best vegetarian places in Charlotte to feast on some authentic South Indian and North Indian breakfast and street food delicacies. I would definitely recommend their idli and dosas which are the best! Bhel puri is a little on the sweeter side, someone with a taste for spicy food might not prefer it.
Masala puri is a pure NO! Which basically had no flavor, no salt or any spice.
It’s a help yourself place where you place the order by the billing counter pay in advance and collect the order and seat yourself in any of the vacant seat available.
Delicious daily made specials (South Indian is spicier 🤤🤌)! Beautiful and sweet desserts! 🎂
Trying to accommodate my daughters vegan issues, I found Chaat n’ Dosa and I loved it. I didn’t know what to order so I ordered a lot. It was fantastic. My ‘chicken nugget’ son loved it. So, good job and keep it up!
This is one of the best if not the best Restaurant servicing mostly Vegetarian South Indian cuisine! In fact that’s their strength.
The quality and taste is excellent and consistent. They are comparable to Shravan Bhavan in quality. I visit at least once a month.
It is a Fast Casual type restaurant in similar theme as Chipotle where you place your order upfront and your food will be announced once it is ready and you fetch it from the counter. On some occasions they bring it to your table but that’s not the norm. The ambience is very simplistic and place is very clean and I see them making smart changes to the layout to make it more customer friendly and business friendly.
That says a lot about the management that they are constantly improving themselves.
As far as food is concerned they never fall short of quality and consistency and it is as close to authentic as it gets. You can best this experience only by actually dining in a restaurant in Chennai!
Tasty food. Do not like the self service idea at all. There is not a single employee in the hall if you have a question or need anything. Prices are high for a place where the customers are doing the job for them. Unacceptable! Will not go back even though we like a few items on their menu. Mango pastry is always stale, beware.
The food was Fresh, I mean steaming fresh! The tastes of spices abundant and balanced! My tummy was full and it didn't even dent my wallet. Their staff was friendly and he made me smile! 10/10 I recommend!
When we walked in the smell of delicious food hit us immediately and made me excited to order. We ordered 5 items. Mango lassi, which was delicious; Sitaphal/chikku milkshake which was okay and didn't really amaze me. The Channa Batura was delicious, and the pani puri reminded me of India. The Dahi Sev was okay, not the best I've tasted - maybe they should have put the tamarind sauce on top instead of the bottom so it is more flavourful. The place was clean and we would go again. Bear in mind you need to go to the counter and pick your food up and there is a water stand with cups if you need it. Restrooms could have been cleaner but they were decent, there was ample tissue paper. The restaurant could do better if they improved the atmosphere and ambience, we will return for chaat if we're in the area again.
