My husband and I totally love this place! There always seems to be a table available and the service is amazing. Food has always been totally delicious and very reasonable. Highly recommend.
The City Deli is a great place to enjoy a good variety of well prepared food. Every time I am I the Great Bridge area I make it a point to stop in for breakfast or lunch.
My husband and I have never had a bad meal there. . . .our favorite is the Reuben sandwich and wait staff is awesome.
The food there was good. ��. I had a Rueben with potato salad and fries the fries were cooked to perfection. My daughter had a wrap which she could only eat half of it. And shared my fries.
The food and service are always great. I also love supporting local business. Elayne is a great person and her longevity in the business says a lot in the tough restaurant business.

I love this place. They even brewed a fresh pot of decaf for me at lunch time. Food is great. Pastrami is my favorite .

A hidden gem snuggled down Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake Va. Great service and food. Worth a wait, every chair was full when we visited. I see why. Will definitely be back and recommend 👌
First time coming here and I really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was nice, food was fresh and service was pretty great too. I had the city scrambler with bacon and turkey links as my 2 meats. Would have been even better if they had queso to put in it! It also came with 2 decent size pancakes! Looking forward to coming back.
I haven't been to City Deli since the owners changed over. But, I will definitely be back. I had the Cuban and it was exactly like you want a good Cuban sandwich to be. The bread was the right firmness, the 2 types of ham were packed with flavor, the sauce was just the right touch, and the pickle added an awesome crunch. If you travel or live near Great Bridge, put this restaurant on your agenda!
So nice that they accommodate groups of at least 10. We had someone arrive early to procure the tables for lunch. Service was great and it was a great positive experience!! Highly ecommend.
Hot Pastrami Sandwich was really good much smaller than what I expected but good. The toasted rye and hot mustard brought it all together. Sandwich and fries came up to $11 after taxes which not bad because it’s Boars Head meats and especially when I bought a pulled high sandwich from another place a few weeks ago for $22 and it was a disappointment. Fries were undercook wouldn’t get them again. But I would revisit
This is one of the best breaskfeast joints I've been to in a long while, let me say it's definitely better than Mc Donald's breakfast.
Awesome hidden gem. Service is good, food is excellent. Homemade lunch food, chicken salad, potato salad, carrots salad, bean salad. Can but these by the pound. Nice for work lunches. Great local coffee. And the do catering. Ill be back. Yum!
I added a video of Fried Livermush slice Livermush dust in cornstarch shake off excess tablespoon of oil and fry on medium heat until browned. The longer you cook them the crisper they are. I grew up on Livermush and learned from my dad who was raised on a farm in the mountains of North Carolina.
