Delicious breakfasts. Super affordable. The ongoing joke in my house is that this place "Must be a cover for something" -- because their prices are extremely low. How do they make money?! Anyway. If you want an amazing & affordable breakfast in Portsmouth, this is your place.
We met friends for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The breakfasts were delicious and the portions large. The customer service was fantastic; my coffee cup was never less than half full. Our friends GPS got them turned around and they got lost. They called the restaurant for directions and when the server realized they were only 2 blocks away she went to they were to direct them to the restaurant.
We eat at Nix's often. Great value and good home cooked meals. Several choices and we love their dailey specials.

My wife and I have eaten at Nixs about 100 times or more. B/L/ and dinner for years. If you are looking for fast service and reasonably priced GOOD food. You have found this gem. The owner is personable, kind and ready to fix YOU a meal! All you have to do is Ask! Don't be shy - talk to the Red Head :-)!!!!
An out of the way place you definitely want to find. You will not be disappointed by anything you order. Staff are very friendly. Some of the best prices around. A wonderful place to eat. Highly recommended.
Short and sweet this place is awesome.... Great service and great prices for great food.
Home cooking when I don't have time!. Nix reminds me of my mother's and my grandmother's cooking growing up; grilled pork chops, fried chicken and wonderful deserts. The staff have been great and service has been good every time I've gone in.
PS: to the reviewer calling themselves "former customer" who didn't get their chicken pot pie, when you make your last honest mistake I might accept your review. Since I know beyond any doubt that you make mistakes like I and everybody else do, cut these folks a break and stop acting like a prima donna!

Great Sandwiches and Meals and Service!!!!. Nix is a great find!! It is laid back and a Mom and Pop Business. The staff are friendly and provide great service. The menu has a lot of varied items and there are always specials. Everything I've had there has been fixed perfect and delicious!! I can't wait to go back. I'll put a few photos up of some things I've tried there. More to come soon!!!
NIX'S Chesapeake VA. We are proud to say that we are patrons at Nix's. We have eaten at the restaurant way before Shirl bought it. The food is superb expecially the potato soup, The apple pancakes are out of this world with the apple syrup. Their prices are great and we eat there just about twice a day.
