I stumbled across this place and I'm glad I did. The food was great and really friendly staff. The atmosphere was great watching everyone work on the same purpose. The woman at the grill is a beast. This is definitely a place that takes you back. I really enjoyed the family type environment and the friendly customer service. The food was good, and my milkshake was comforting. Everything was worth every penny, and I'll be back for breakfast.
I'm ashamed to admit that I've lived in Chesapeake my entire 45 years of life and finally ate here for the first time this summer. I've driven past Irwin's thousands of times and never stopped in. Im SO GLAD I did! Man, was it delicious!

I've driven past this place countless times and always thought it was just a pharmacy. Now I regret not knowing that this was a "Mom & Pop" diner that serves quality food at great prices. I'll make up for this by frequenting this place often from now on!
