Traveling through the area we stopped here for dinner and enjoyed our meal. The menu was not as large as I thought, but we ordered the the House Lasagna - which was amazing, the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and a pizza - my other favorite. The pizza had a thin crust, great cheese and fresh toppings. Over all, cute setting for a date night, dinner with friends or family. Had my 6 year old with me but did not get a kids menu.
Food is awesome, portions are insanely large, and price is VERY reasonable. This is what resteraunt Italian should taste like. Just simple FRESH food with no frills. Outstanding. Try Sugo's in Frontenac as well....same owner.
Lots of choices for Italian food in the Valley, but Babbo's is the most authentic with large portions and decent prices.
I just ate the largest lasagna in recorded history...and enjoyed every last bite. Good salad (Del Pietro) and a history of dining that has served generations of St. Louisians. Service was grand & attentive. I'll be back for sure!
Great Food!. I have eaten at Babbo's several times and the food is awesome! The chicken spedini, and spaghetti and meatballs are excellent. My husband got the lasagna and loved it, there was a huge piece. The salads are very good also. Our service has always been good. The waiting area is non-existent and they will not seat you unless the whole party is there, weird? They could really use a larger space.
Nice little restaurant!. Me and the missus were here last night, in part due to the excellent reviews on this site. At 5:30, on a Saturday, the place was packed. Standing room only packed, about a hundred customers. The service was fast, and efficient. We eat out a lot, and we watched the staff move and operate like a well-oiled machine. Not in any particular rush to "churn" the guests, but just very efficient. The food came out hot, and excellent. I had a pizza, for $10, that was huge, with FOUR toppings. Best value anywhere for pizza. The missus had a chicken alfredo, which was also excellent, with large chunks of garlic. Her sauce was a little thin, but still very good. We will be going back here soon, to try some of the other dishes. From what we could see, all portions sizes were very large, and with moderate prices, this place may well become our "go to" place for Italian.
Great food!. Some friends first took us to Babbo's and we are so thankful they did! Great food. Great service. Babbo's has become one of our favorite places for Italian food, and around here, that's a high compliment!
Much like an Osteria in Italy. This place is great and the wine selection is pretty darn good and available by the glass. Love the Super Tuscan. Risotto, lasagna, spaghetti & meatballs, and pizza are all fantastic. Great service and although it can get noisy, it only adds to the charm and community of this small restaurant.
Great food, some small problems. This is excellent food, great salad, huge main course, excellent price. I've eaten both lunch and dinner several times. The food is always good but the service can be a little spotty.
Our new happy little place. Tiny, hole in the wall, but cute. Never have had anything bad here. The tutto mare is fabulous. Get a reservation, because there is usually a line unless you go early.
We've gone multiple times and definitely will be going back. So few non-chain restaurants in the county. Best food at Boone's Crossing, by a mile.
Great Italian food. This is one of the few restaurants that I will order a dish with red sauce. It is NOT so sweet that it ruins the flavor of the sauce or tries to cover bad ingredients. Being accustomed to a Sicilian style sauce that does not use any sugar and this is as close as any I have tried when dining out.

Good value. We ate at Babbo's in Chesterfield Valley last night. Went in around 7:00pm and was told the wait would be about 30 minutes. It was. The resturant was croweded and it doesn't really have a good "waiting" area. People just crowd around the front door. I had the Pasta and meatballs. Largets meatballs I've ever had, they were very good. My wife had a pizza and it was okay, didn't seem to have much cheese on it. Overall service was very good (except we had to wait about 5 minutes for them to wash and provide another wine glass). Food was average to good. Value was very good.
Good simple food but very noisy.
Good food good service. I love this restaurant. The service has ALWAYS been good. The food is super good. The price is perfect. Every dish we have had at this place is excellent. I am a retired chef and a big eater. I, and my business colleagues, have eaten here at least once a week for nearly a year. Everything is good. Huge portions of lasagna. Meatballs are the size of softballs. If you had one bad experience here, go back. It was a weird fluke.
GREAT PRICE, GREAT FOOD. Ordered nightly specials all 3 times and thought it real good and the pizza another party had was good as well.
Only had one entree that was overcooked on the chicken but all fish dinners were great.
Pasta just the way I like it. Prices are for families and decent. Noise level really goes up when packed so be aware of this, but I notice it goes up all over at Christmas time no matter where it's packed in.
Been twice, excellent food. The funghi pasta, chicken spedini, and risotto are terrific. They need to drain their noodles more when the serve the spaghetti, and the chicken in the fettucine alfredo was tough and overcooked.
Love this place. The lasagna is exceptional. The margherita pizza is very good as well. We tried a few other dishes and all of them were good. I have a hard time understanding some of the bad reviews on here. One review said "good bar food". This is by no means bar food. If you want bar food go to Bar Louie, Sybergs, or Rock n Brews.
This was my second visit to Babbo's, and everything was very positive. They provide the traditional Italian offerings, with large portions of steaming hot, flavorful food. Their house lasagne is so large you can't eat it in one sitting. The service, from hostess to server, makes one feel like a guest in a friend's home. The more lavish dishes are priced accordingly, but the basic pasta dishes are very reasonably priced -- $10 for many -- and $2 for tea or soft drinks. A comparative bargain! So very good food, good service, good price.
This place is great! I had the lasagna and it was amoung the top two I have ever tasted. It was so fresh it seemed they made it fresh for me. The portions were generous and the service was friendly and prompt. Great atmosphere to enjoy the meal. I will come back my next trip and try another dish. ( or get the spaghetti again! )

We enjoy going here. Good tasting food and good prices. The thin crust pizza was surprisingly good and I'm a tough pizza critic.
Babbo's is the real deal. The hill in West County at a steal for your wallet. Get one of the specials whatever it is, or the lasagna if you feel like taking on a man vs food challenge. Anything you order you can't go wrong. Go here for the food plain and simple.
