First, do a cheese pull video. You’ll be in awe of how tall it goes. Second, LaLa was a great server. She was funny and made sure to stack the drinks up for us.
The pizza was amazing and I’ll be dreaming about my next visit to get more. The pizza takes about 45 minutes to make, so don’t be in a rush when you go. It’s worth the wait though.
I was here for dinner as it was recommended by several people in the hotel I was staying in. The service staff were great however neither of the 2 servers I had told me it would take 45 mins for the food to come out. Once I did get it, it was an extremely large portion size for the price point. It is also very filling. Overall there was a nice atmosphere to the restaurant and is definitely worth going to while your in Chicago.
I thought the pizza was dynamite! So delicious! The pizza does take a second to cook, so plan on being here for over a hour. But, well worth the wait! We got there right at open and didn’t have to wait in line to get inside. They did get busy fast though!
First time here and first time for the Chicago deep dish style pizza. I'm not a fan. It's just a lot of bread. I just had cheese and it tasted fine but nothing special. I only had the personal size one because I was having some beers. It took about 45 minutes to get the pizza. Bartenders were great. It was very busy and there was an hour wait or first come first serve in the bar area. I was able to get the last open seat at the bar. It was about 6 -7pm on a Friday. It was even busier when I left so plan ahead for wait times.
This was the first place I hit up, during my visit to Chicago and it did not disappoint. My buddy and I got the Chicago Classic and a Cheese deep dish pizza. Honestly, the plain cheese was better. I can safely conclude now - I prefer deep dish over thin crust. The thickness was satisfying, yet it wasn't dried out, and yielded a pleasurable consistency to the mouth. Too many toppings, makes it like a lasagna, which is why my buddy and I both preferred the plain cheese. Taniysha did a great job of taking care of us. A small pizza is enough for two people.
After 10y not coming to Chicago I wanted to get back to Giordano’s to taste once again the deep dish pizza.
It was delicious, always good to be back.
We had a little problem with our order but the staff reacted fast to solve it.
Will be back for sure
We were looking for the classic "Chicago deep dish pizza," and we found it at Giordano's. Everything was excellent & flavorful. Highly recommend the deep dish pizza!
I believe this establishment is the original Giordano's as it gets extremely crowded. We dined here on our last visit to the Chicago area and waited a long time to get a seat. I hear the waits are shorter since they accept reservations now, but the restaurant was packed again today when I stopped by. This is all for a good reason, though, as Giordano's is the place to go if you want the best Chicago-style deep dish pizza!
I don't know if this is the best deep dish in town but it certainly is good enough to say you had Chicago Deep Dish.
This location is right off the magnificent mile and features an amazing Monday - Friday lunch deal. About $11 and you can get a personal deep dish and a side. I chose a side salad.
If you're on a budget and traveling in a smaller group then stop here for lunch and check off your mandatory taste of deep dish.
First time in Chicago, of course we wanted to have some deep dish! Giordano’s was listed as a well-known spot so we decided to eat here!
Atmosphere was great and it was cool for us that you have to order your pizza before your seated because it takes 45min to bake.
The pizza was…alright. We got the Chicken Sausage Deep Dish, which comes with mushroom and spinach. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the pizza we got, I’d be happy to give another flavor a new try to truly say if I liked it or not. The crust was fantastic though!
Caesar Salad was good but as a big fan of crutons, was disappointed it didn’t come with any. Probably healthier though lol.
The star of the night was dessert, the oversized skillet cookie! On a cold fall night, you can’t beat a nice warm cookie with ice cream and hot fudge.
Overall a nice meal, would definitely be open to trying again to see if I like a different flavor!
