A classic little neighborhood spot for noodles/chicken parm. The food, staff, and atmosphere is great- chill and friendly. I’ve tried a few different dishes and they’re all great (however if you want real traditional Italian noodles, there’s more authentic/pricier spots in Chicago) but my go to is chicken parmigiana. Chefs kiss. Da spaghetti noodles, da sauce and da chicken breast cutlet 🤌 just like ma used to make 🔥🥰. Check it out and you won’t regret it.

My newest favorite place to eat good pasta. Everything was so fresh, delicious, the service was so attentive, and everything was so quick. Food + drink + dessert = Perfect!
Me and my friend just left there about 40 mins ago. Gillian S was the sweetest server and funny. Their food was amazing and to celebrate our 2yr friendship, she wished us the best with a lava cake on the house. She deserves high tip hands down.
Everything was five star service from the moment we walked in! The team was incredibly busy with dinner rush and didn't miss a beat. Our waitress took phenomenal care of us and the meal was delicious from the angel hair to the lava cake. Highly recommend for a cozy dinner spot to enjoy!
Great place for some tasty Italian food! We were greeted and seated right away, place was clean and not terribly busy at the time we went. Ordered the bolognese and it was delicious - arrived quickly and was nice & hot. Our server was friendly and professional. We were in & out in about 45 minutes. It's a little noisy since the kitchen is right in the middle of this small but cozy spot.
Food tasted great, and the potions were hearty. Service was average. Atmosphere was cozy. However, the kitchen is in the middle of the dining area, which makes the air very smoky.
Note that the Dinner for Two deal that's listed on the online menu is not available for dining in. That deal is what prompted me to visit the restaurant in the first place, but I was misled and disappointed. Taking off a star overall for this reason.
This was my second time to The Pasta Bowl in Lincoln Park. My friend and I were in town visiting my daughter and wanted to come back because we had such a great experience last year. Carlina was our waitress and she was amazing! The restaurant was crowded on a Saturday evening, but everything from the service to the food was top notch. We started with a chopped salad, and then got Chicken Parmesan, Gnocchi Aurora, and Farfalle Pollo. We all tried a little bit of everything, and there was enough food leftover for another 3 meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Italian food with great service!
A very family friendly pasta place. The price is unbeatable considering the quality and the portion. Our dishes were brought up very fast. Mozzarella tomato basil salad was simply good. Cranberry and strawberry salad with goat cheese, walnut and pear was very refreshing. Special of the day was shell pasta with pesto source, shrimp, mushroom and sun dried tomato. The pesto source tasted great, but the pasta was a bit over cooked.
Visiting from UK and found pasta bowl for a last minute dinner. Food was lovely but portion size was huge (but seems to be a running theme in USA) Our waitress Danny (or with i, I do apologise) was super lovely and very accommodating. The thing that really wow’d us was being able to watch the chefs behind the ?bar making the food which was interesting being able to watch them making everything from scratch and could tell they were on the same page when cooking as they didn’t have to use any words. Everyone was very lovely and food was great 😊 xx
The second time ordering through a food service and the food has been great! Generous portions and better prices than most Italian restaurants on these apps.
Chicken parm 8/10
Fettuccine Alfredo 8/10
Cheese bread 10/10
Server was professional and nice. Didn't appreciate the hostess trying to seat us where the most foot traffic was which was in front of the kitchen when there were additional seating in the back. I'm a little sensitive to salt and would say their pasta is pretty salty, but my SO didn't seem to mind it.
Ok...love love love the food. Terrific pasta served in a small space. Did I wish there were more tables, you betcha! But hey, I'm here for the food not the decor. The puttanesca is great, the Bolognese as well, and the Gorgonzola rosemary gnocchi...well that is simply divine.
As soon as you walk in, the fresh homemade aromatic smell of Italian hits you. It's amazing! We were seated and served very quickly! Our food was out in minutes! Very delicious to say the least! The open front kitchen was a bonus! I will be making another stop soon to try what I'm sure will be another amazing dish! Pictured: (spaghetti and meatballs and pesto basil linguine)
Great spot in Lincoln Park for quality Italian food. Food is good, service is nice and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. This is a regular spot for us and great place to go if you're in the neighborhood and looking for good Italian food.
Wow, we walked by this little find and were sold on the smell that came out of the restaurant when the door opened. The smell of fresh cheese and garlic had us sold at the door to check it out.
So glad we did! I'm not an Italian fan, but this place changed the game. We ordered their specialities and we're enjoying every bite. Saucy, rich, flavorful, and creamy. Love love love! The portions we're HUGE and adequately priced.
The service was excellent!
Definitely coming back again :)
