Ok guys, hear me out…. PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST HAPPY HOURS IN CHICAGO! The happy hour menu is attached. Sliders were absolutely delicious! The fries…. 🤤 the burrito… spicy and delicious! The crispy Brussel sprouts were not crispy, so if you love crispy, ask for them if they can make sure they’re crispy. The flavor of them were delicious! You literally can not go wrong with the 5 bucks deal! The location is fantastic! Downtown Chicago, can’t ask for a better location! Definitely coming back! The service was great! Very attentive!

Stopped here while on a work trip and during the Italian Festival on Taylor Street! The items on the special menu all sounded good. I had Grandma’s Gravy and it was delicious! I would like to come back and sit in the dining room, looked very classy and old school inside. They had the street blocked off and seating outside. It was a fun atmosphere!

We had never been to this location, only Rosebud on Rush St. We were missing out. This is some of the best Italian you will have in Chicago. The atmosphere is perfect, food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. We will be back.

This was an incredible experience. From the wonderful service to the absolutely exceptional food, it was awesome. I will warn you, DON'T think these portions are like your typical restaurant. They are HUGE! I had the chicken parm and had never seen a portion so large. It was the same with the "piece" of carrot cake my wife and I intended to share, only to find it was a quarter of the entire cake. Add to that the quality of the food's taste and you have a winning combination. This is no exaggeration and I've attached pictures to prove it. Did I mention the ambiance? Thank you to the wonderful staff for making this experience so special for us!

Hands down some of the best Italian you will get. Sat at the Frank Sinatra table where he used to sit along with Tom Hanks. A lot of cool history to the place and overall a atmosphere that brings you back in time. One of many reviews, but worth the positive review.

The rigatoni alla vodka (picture) was SO GOOD and the eggplant stack was literally the best eggplant I've ever had. I also loved our waiter and the place is so cozy.

For decades, Rosebud on Taylor has been a family tradition for our holidays and birthdays. We enjoy the terrific food and vibrant atmosphere, and the service is exemplary. However, this year we really missed the holiday decorations, please bring them back for 2024!

We had the meatballs and the fish (seafood) salad and it was all delicious! They do a light dressing on the salad that really helps to lift the taste of the seafood. However, for the salad, I wish the celery was soaked in the seasonings as much as the peppers were because they really didn’t pair well. Additionally, the seafood did not taste super fresh and the scungilli was a little thicker for my liking- I appreciate when it is closer to shaved. Also had the mommas Manhattan which honestly was really good. Overall, solid food, and the service was quick. Biggest downfall was the uptight attitude of the staff.

Yummy! Everything was delicious! Love the vintage sign when we ate outside. Started with stuffed mushrooms and the brocolini. The sauce for the mushrooms was really tasty, and the brocolini was good too. The baked Ziti was very cheesy and the penne in the signature tomato sauce. We also got eggplant parmesan, which the pasta came as a separate side. We also got white fish with seasoned potatoes. The sauce was good for the fish as well. We would have given it five stars but everything was a bit expensive so we gave it a four.

The Rosebud is an old family favorite. The food is plentiful and the service is attentive but not overwhelming. The veal and chicken were fantastic with plenty leftover for the next day. Always a great experience.

I randomly stopped in and had a great experience. I sat at the bar, conversated with the bar tender and people around me. Friendly atmosphere, upscale, great food and drinks. This restaurant can be a great place for a celebration, to meet friends, host a business meeting, or to accommodate someone who just dropped in like I did. No complaints, great experience.

"for-get-about-it"... Super friendly staff, top notch service, great atmosphere with background music just quiet enough to where it doesn't effect conversation. everything ordered was top notch from appetizers to the dessert was fantastic. Don't skip the Chocolate Cake.

I'll cut to the chase: The Trio from the specials menu is without a doubt among the best tenderloin cuts my wife and I have ever had, easily leagues above 'top 2% nationwide cuts' we've had elsewhere. It actually never crossed my mind before to not get housemade pasta at a high end Italian restaurant, but for some reason my wife and I decided to go for that dish. Simply exquisite: It was so smooth as our knives cut into it, extremely lean, yet melts in your mouth like butter. It sits on a bed of risotto and mushroom which compliment the cuts perfectly and taste just as indulging. The Fish salad tasted extremely fresh, and we particularly loved the pickled pepper slices in it. It wasn't all good though: The Nonna Chocolate cake was a massive disappointment, in addition to also being just massive. It tasted like a generic chocolate cake you got from any given department store bakery section 10 years ago. But I won't let it affect my review because we didn't go there for dessert. Overall, we definitely have a favorite place for occasions and are happy we stumbled into The Rosebud when we were actually planning to go elsewhere that night. Edit: I left my bag at the store. Apparently they tried chasing me down but I had left. 4 days later, I showed up again and they had my bag. The review was already 5* so there's nothing else I can do than thank them again.

Everything was good, but nothing was extraordinary. The Chicken Parm was giant and could feed an army, but the chicken was actually pretty tough and there was just too much breading. The service was amazing and staff was super friendly, would go back just because of them!
