The food is definitely better than average, but not like wow. I was expecting their Yardbird sandwich to be a bit more spicy. Cocktails are okay and at a premium price $$$. The service was slow but they were super nice people. Not sure if they were short? In any case, the vibes of this place were immaculate! Funky art, cool set up and aesthetic, and of course the live music was great and sounded fantastic. Listening to good music and in one of Chicago's iconic venues? Do it. At least once!

Chicago's House of Blues was a unique experience. I thought it would be just another dive bar music venue, but it was so much more. The ambience was kind of macabre and reminded me of a witches tabern we visited in Scotland. The ground floor was general admission standing room only but the stage was easily visible from every spot. There were multiple balconies with standing room only and reserve seating. The 3rd had a nice private club with a well thought out menu and the 4th floor had a lounge. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge while waiting for the show to start. Overall it was a unique and incredible experience. I highly recommend seeing a show here if you can.

Always excellent live entertainment and excellent food. Not a bad thing on the increasingly limited menu. Tried the Memphis ribs recently. Flavor was fantastic but they were very tough, not fall off the bone. This would be my only critique of the restaurant after many years.

Food was good. Ate there before a concert to get in early but then they said we couldn't. We talked it out and got into the concert early... took a little convincing though. Didn't think it was right to have signs everywhere stating that eating there got you into the concert early and then ha e such a heck of a time getting into the concert. (Especially after spending $150 on food)

Had a great visit tonight and enjoyed the food and music. Bar and wait staff were fantastic. Katie especially. It took a little while to get a table before ordering food, but staff took my details and I waited at the bar for a little while before someone found me and I was switched over to a nearby table. The Jambalaya was delicious with Shrimp and the Southern Side Salad with champagne vinigarette. All items on the menu sounded tempting! Great selection of drinks also.

Great place for events. The decoration is almost psychedelic and the bar has a great selection of beers. Biggest drawback was that the food wasn’t very good during my last visit.

Good food, good service at the bar. Jambalaya was excellent and didn't hold back on the spice! Music was great for a Thursday night.

Love catching bands here. Parking isn't the easiest or costly. Use spothero.
