Venison and the skate were excellent. The venison tenderloin melted in my mouth. And perfect flavor for the season. I am not a dessert person but the panna cotta with hibiscus sorbet was innovative and to die for. The drinks are made by a true mixologist. This was worth every penny and the staff are so personable and professional.
My top pick every time I am in the city!!!! Superior service, excellent atmosphere and probably the best burger I've ever had!!!! I highly recommend!
I have been experiencing Chicago fine dining since the late 1960s from Le Perroquet to Charlie Trotter's and everywhere in between. I am acquainted with many accredited international Chefs and have been a Chef and Sommelier myself, also. Chef Nahabedian is an exceptional culinary talent and her, along with her staff, are extremely personable, professional and accommodating and execute a very high level of service. The classic cuisine and venue are outstanding. With all of the excellent dining spots in Chicago, I cannot say that Naha is the best but I will say that there are none better. Highly recommended.
Beautifully conceived and executed dishes throughout the evening. The only difficulty here is in deciding what to order. The menu is brilliantly written and enticing. Naha is and always has been a Chicago gem.
Bravo!
How lucky am I to have NAHA as a neighborhood staple. Quite simply the best restaurant week lunch of the bunch, beautiful, tasty food, impeccable, welcoming, unobtrusive service. And the menus are perfect poems. Thank you Chef Carrie and the NAHA team!
Great food, good atmosphere and great service! I have been going there for years and it never let's me down.
Carrie's cuisine is exceptional. But what impresses this outoftowner is the thoughtfulness...to seasons..to careful preparation..to caring service.
Quail with pork belly was lovely while seared fois gras and soft-shell crab was my favourite dinner of our 44 year wedding anniversary. Hoping we can come back in the future...God willing.
The service is extraordinary and the food outstanding. Best ice tea ever, lol
Amazing execution and flavor. Posted on Chowhound - the forum for foodies. Kudos!
I enjoyed my first night on the last night Naha was open. So sad as everything was superb! The service, ambiance and food was amazing. They paid attention to every detail. I appreciate the evening I enjoyed. Thank you!
Consistent Chicago go to at Neocon! Imaginative twists on classics, great wine list in an atmosphere where you can carry on a business conversation. I love NaHa!
My son said that the scallops were so fresh that there must be an ocean in the back! The lamb and duck were superb and perfectly prepared with just the right amount of seasoning accompanied by puréed vegetables. Generous portions. The ice cream and cookies were otherworldly!
Best dinner I have had, maybe ever, I kid you not. Don't miss the duck or the ribeye. Corn soup with crab also was fabulous.
Absolutely fabulous experience. Going by the food it is undoubtedly one of the best in Chicago. We ordered the Scallops which were amazing. the flavours complemented each other beautifully. We also ordered the Risotto which in my opinion was good as expected. For entrées we had a rib-eye steak. It was hands down the best steak I have ever tried. They make it 16 Oz so go there hungry. The meat was really juicy, tender and very well cooked with great texture. The sauces in the steak complimented it very nicely. Absolutely recommended.
Yummy, what more can I say. Exquisite meal, includes Asparagus custard, Dorado Fish, Quail polenta, Soft Shell Crab, Rice Pudding, Goat Cheese Cheesecake, all very well done and paired with beautiful wines, great service, and beautiful ambiance. Highly recommend!
Really first rate service, delicious food and comfortable atmosphere. I honestly hadn't realised it was such an upscale restaurant. We ducked in after work in business casual and felt a little under dressed. Although no one whom worked there made us feel anything but comfortable. We had a lovely meal, delicious flavors and beautiful presentation.
Went to Naha for dinner during Restaurant Week (before committing to a $300-ish date night). The food was incredible: Well-crafted, well-portioned and creative. What I love about this chef is the thoughtfulness in how both flavors and textures come together in the finished dishes. The donut dessert I had was probably the most fun dish I've ever eaten. I will definitely come back for a special occasion. Only complaint is that the restaurant got pretty noisy by the time we left, as the seating is very open and in close quarters.
We didn't have reservations when we wandered in on a late Saturday evening. They were able to seat us but you could tell that they were VERY busy. We were offered a WONDERFUL corn soup as an apology for the time between the appetizers and entree. This was a surprise because we didn't complain nor did we think it was taking too long. The food was excellent, from presentation to taste. The price was a bit on the high side, but we got what we paid for, and it is Chicago. We hope to make Naha a yearly tradition.
Very modern and well decorated restaurant. The service was excellent but not very welcoming. We ordered the beet salad and duck. The salad was underwhelming both in size and flavor. It was plated well and very appealing, but did not as satisfying to eat. The duck was undercooked, but had good flavor. Naha was a excellent restaurant, but not a great restaurant for the price we paid.
Best meal I have ever had. Binge on the chef tasting menu and the wine pairings. Oh my God I still have dreams about the mushroom soup. Everything including the service, was divine. I cannot wait to go back.
We had an amazing dinner at NAHA for our anniversary. Everything was superb: the understated, quietly elegant decor, the view of streets, the cocktail menu, the wine list, the unobtrusive yet attentive service, the outstanding, inventive menu, and of course the food. We're wowed by the appetizer items: corn soup, risotto, and scallops. My husband claimed that the corn soup was one of the best dishes he's ever tasted. The quail was excellently done, naturally. "Inventive" is the word that comes to mind when I try to summarize NAHA. What's amazing is that they manage to deliver soul-warming comfort food and experience at the same time. The Michelin star is well-deserved.
FINALLY, I came, saw and ate :)
We were here for Restaurant Week. We were able to make an OpenTable reservation.
I love the space. Clean, crisp, upscale...perfect.
The service was fantastic. Our server totally read us and was able to engage us and not be like super pretentious, etc.
The food was fantastic. This place is worthy of the Michelin. Pork, seafood, dessert...all delicious! And for $44 price tag for RW, it was a STEAL! They also coursed it out properly. Although the restaurant was JAMMED, we didnt feel rushed.
I would definitely be back for the regular menu.
Service was 5/5, food was 4/5. The foie gras appetizer was fantastic and worth every penny. The duck breast entre wa flavorful, but surprisingly chewy - there was a piece of connective tissue in there that I had to use all my force to cut through with the knife. It still taste good, was just that eating it was not as elegant as I would have expected. The chocolate dessert was great with an excellent balance of sweet and bitter flavors.
The server was informative and attentive. The decor was pleasant.
I've only been here for lunch, but every time it's been delicious! Delicious Butternut squash cannelloni with pork belly, great hamburger on a sea salt bun! Naha was just awarded a Michelin Star and you can taste why!
There is a reason food critics love this place. We went during restaurant week and felt as though we were there on any normal day (that's a good thing). Delicious overall, but the tables are awkwardly long for two people. I felt like I should have brought a cell phone just to talk to my date...
Delicious food , beautiful presentation, worth the price
Naha is a restaurant that caters to patrons interested in simply outstanding and interesting food profiles and showcasing their high-quality ingredients as the stars of each dish. Our service was excellent, much more of a European paced restaurant - that is our preference - and great wine suggestions.
