I went here for my graduation and it was nothing short of amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection. The appetizers excellent as well as the sides, and the desserts finished the meal just as strong. The service was outstanding and menu options were explained in detail by the outstanding waitress Lisa; she made the night memorable along with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Definitely will be attending again on my next visit in the city.

Expect the best when visiting Chicago Cut. That’s exactly what my wife and I received. Hector was superior as a server and the food was outstanding! The atmosphere is gorgeous, especially during the holiday season. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had if not the best.

This restaurant is so spectacular! The service is over the top, each staff member is very professional and courteous. Our server was Ashley, and she went above and beyond for our group. It felt like they rolled out the red carpet for us! The staff pay attention to every detail of the dining experience. The ambience is amazing. Every part from the lighting, friendly staff, and food made for an unforgettable experience! The staff will individually plate sides and appetizers. The Creme Brûlée & Oreo Mint Pie are must haves as well as the lamp chops and Lobstercargo. The steaks are tender and cooked perfectly. David is a wonderful restaurant owner and deserves recognition for Chicago Cut! This is definitely a go-to for Chicago dining.

Our first time dining here and visiting Chicago too! We chose here for our last dinner before leaving town and were not disappointed.

FIlet regular
1x side of mashed potatoes
1x side of Brussels
1x tiramisu
1x chocolate cake
My boyfriend typically orders a rare steak, and he felt the rare here bordered their description of "black & blue", but was absolutely thrilled.
There is no question the meat here is top grade quality, and prepared by chefs who know how to cook it. You will not be disappointed.
The sides are perfect portions, they're on the smaller side, perfect to split between two people.
I personally don't think the "bone in" filet was worth the hassle of eating, but it was cool to try it once.
Lobstercargot was worth the hype it gets in reviews. I didn't love the Brussels (I prefer them crispy and they were more soft), and I would order everything else we got again with no hesitation.
The service here is like a well oiled machine. That alone would bring me back to dine here.
We can't wait to come back!

Went here for our anniversary it had rained in the morning but cleared up an was beautiful by the time we were seated. I had put a note in to bring out champagne & had forgotten about it and was pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was fantastic I can't remember his name but he had some dope Oakley sunglasses and gave us just the BEST experience highly recommend well worth every pretty penny!

The drinks that atmosphere the ambiance everything was great. They handled our party of 17 Raider fans with grace. Lol The steak was delicious from the sides. Could be perfected more mac and cheese. It was below par to my standards. Very dry, not creamy. Tasted kind of bland.

Went for my wedding anniversary and it was amazing! Was willing to splurge and got my own steak. Amazing taste, seasoning and perfectly med-rare. The potatoes were really good as were the Brussel sprouts. Drinks were good too! Tuna tartare was awesome too!

One of the best steakhouses in Chicago. We had Elmer our first time there almost two years ago and have been requesting him each time back. He makes sure that our needs are always met and certainly has the proper staff to help him plate the food. The lobster escargot is one of the best appetizers I have had in a long time. This was my second time getting it and it’s flavor rivals anything from Boston area restaurants. They also have amazing drinks and a healthy wine list to go along their prime cuts of beef. Don’t leave without dessert. Their key lime pie and the chocolate cake are well worth all the extra working out the next day.

One of the best dining experiences me or my bf ever experienced!!! We kept laughing about how they never once let our glasses be empty, refills were like instantaneous after every sip we took � the food was absolutely phenomenal. My bf got the salmon and I got the chicken parmigiana. The salmon was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life, the sweet glaze they use was mind blowing. And the chicken parmigiana was HUGE!!! So much food! Our server, Demetri, was also phenomenal and very professional and warm and friendly, great charisma and sense of humor. Best dining experience I’ve ever had in Chicago. That’s for sure. We sat outside next to the river and that was amazing as well. 5 our 5 stars for this place!!!

AMBIANCE
Incredible. Absolutely beautiful. Floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the river. I got there shortly after 1am, and they had just closed the outside patio that sits almost right on top of the river. Amazing view.
SERVICE
6 star service. Not too much and not too little. They definitely know to give the white glove treatment.
FOOD
Here is where the 4 1/2 star rating comes in. The French onion soup - hot, flavorful and tasty. The mash potatoes and shucked corn - delicious. The warm Apple tart and ice cream - out of this world. The prime steak was perfectly aged and taste like butter. However, the steak was over salted. I always eat steak with sour cream, and this cut the saltiness. After half way through the steak, it started to wear on the palate. Because the steak was half of the bill, I rated it 4 stars.
RECOMMENDATION
Most definitely - I would return. But when you go, tell the waiter to make sure to tell the chef to go easy on the salt to have yourself a 5 star experience !!!!

Amazing restaurant. We waited a long time to get a Saturday night reservation and it was totally worth the wait. The food was amazing everything was so good. Our waitress Raianne was the best! She was so informative about the menu and her suggestions were spot on beginning to end. We have been at many Chicago steakhouses and some are good and some are ok but this was really very good so we’ll be going back again. Don’t hesitate if you have the opportunity to dine there.

What can I say super view nice staff . We were greeted by our waiter who seemed more like a car salesman . We went with the Bone in filet said it was 160z off the bone 12oz let's just say it wasn't all that and lacked flavor , we tried the scalloped potatoes... or should I say I would like potatoes with my butter , it was swiming in it and was way over seasoned and spicy and took away from the potatoes , then comes dessert, tiramisu it was like eating a marshmallow it did not at all taste like tiramisu .... all that with a cup of coffee 119 with Tip134
.. sorry I have had better not impressed..... dont think I will be going back as n for the money Season the steak and learn how to make a tiramisu

I had a bone in ribeye steak, scalloped potatoes and mushrooms pared with a Feliino Malbec my wife had the marinated skirt steak, spinach with broccoli and a baked potato pared with a glass of Riesling and my son had the Chicago Cut ribs and a side of lobster mac and cheese. We all shared of course! The food was excellent, the wine was elegant and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to come back!

We booked to go here for our two year anniversary and during the meal the waiter didn't use a tray to collect the food and spilt oil from the plates over my brand new leather handbag. The waiter then tried to remove it with club soda but it wouldn't come out. We spoke to the manager who gave us his card and said he would call with a resolution. After talking on the phone and via email it was decided that I would be compensated with a check in the mail as we had already left the restaurant so they couldn't give us discount on the meal. I have had email correspondence since and promises made but now no news and my emails are being ignored and still no compensation.
