Coq D'or - Chicago - Photo album

Came here for after dinner drinks m. I had the cranapple sparkle. It was delicious. Was with a pretty large group. Our server Jose was amazing, super attentive and friendly. This was my first trip to Chicago I really enjoyed the bar’s atmosphere. Definitely would recommend
I envisioned this as a classy and classic hotel bar in a world-famous institution. However, it is more like a pub. It was very loud and there were several TVs showing sports. Service was top-notch and my drink was tasty, but it wasn’t the relaxing pre-dinner drink we had in mind.
We stopped in in Coq D'Or within the Drake hotel on Chicago's magnificent Mile during a shopping trip before christmas. This restaurant and bar in the basement level of the historic Drake hotel was warm and cozy. We especially appreciate that they had a live piano player who sort of did a rousing se
This local hotel bar/restaurant has great potential. The vibe is club-like and old school. It caters to tourists, even though there are plenty of neighborhood regulars. Food is really good, but presentation and quality are inconsistent. The team tries and often makes us feel like welcome regulars
This bar is soooo fun. My husband and I usually stop in for a drink or two while staying at The Drake over the Christmas holidays as is our tradition. I love the dark paneled walls and the paintings. It’s such a unique place. We tried to go for dinner last week with my husband’s siblings and spouse
The at atmosphere is dark, cozy, old Chicago and the drinks are good. Staff and bartenders are very friendly. Very inviting but kind of hidden. Mixed crowd from dressed up to shorts and flip flops. Great for popping in after a day of shopping on Michigan Ave. for a refreshment. Their Old Fashioned
We had outstanding service by Jaime I think his name was, very friendly and attentive, was probably the best French onion soup I’ve ever had.
Salmon was delicious; uniquely prepared. I enjoyed it!
Originally sought out this hotel restaurant and bar for drinks. The service was slow and we had to wave staff down for attention. Once our server designated, it was better and she recommended their cookie dessert. It was surprisingly awesome, for cookies, and was the best part of the trip.
Our group started in Coq d'Or. We had such a great time with Polo & Jose, on staff, in addition to the delicious cocktails, we came back after dinner. We enjoyed the evening so much, we came back the next night for live music. We defiantly will come by when we visit Chicago again!
The bookbinder soup was delicious, and the reuben is where it’s at. But the highlight was Christina’s incredible service. She is great at her job—kind and an absolute delight.
Our server, Juan, made great food and atmosphere even better. The place is very intimate and we had great conversations with Juan and other guests around us.
Nice cozy lounge inside the Drake
This place should be rated a 10 out of 5. The bartenders are absolutely fantastic. From the dirty martinis to lunch before the Bears game to espresso martinis. Everything is outstanding but the hospitality and attention to detail is even more impressive. A staple for years to come.
Such a cool, 20s era atmosphere! The drinks are great, you get a nice wine pour. The food is amazing. We got the salmon and a salad with steak on top. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. It's a first come, first serve place, so if you get there during off-peak dinner time, you're go
Great little hotel bar, with food and an upscale vibe. We sat at the bar and were served by Polo who mixed up some fabulous drinks for us. It was very busy but despite that we had exceptional service. We ordered the Bavarian pretzel to share and it was quite good!
Really cool old bar/ restaurant in The Drake Hotel. Great service and food was very good. Lots of history there.
