The spot is unique - very old school Italian vibes but still classy. Food is fantastic, flavorful and portions are massive. Couple of special mentions would be the Bruschetta and Tortellini Prosciutto were incredible. Service was on point with a lot of help. Kind of a bummer because their espresso machine was broken but only means I have to come back again to get my fix.
Overall, glad to have stumbled upon this spot!
Beautiful interior. Food is delicious and comes in very large portions. Waiter was thoughtful and helpful. Definitely a nice place I would recommend for any sort of occasion, formal or casual.
A fantastic place to have a chill dinner with friends with great drinks and food! I always request the back patio when I go to Orso’s and I love the vibe there. Pretty much every food I’ve tried at this place tasted good & homey. Their drinks are amazing — highly recommend their sangria and the affogato!
Recommend: the service and atmosphere is great, will be back. I recommend the Tortellaci al Prosciutto, Salmon Vesuvio, portobello alla griglia, and their special margarita drink.
From pasta dishes I can't recommend the Fumigato , just was not impressed and Capellini Melissa with angel hair pasta was very underwhelming.
Note their patio in the back is really nice but if it is hot with sun out and over 80 degrees you will be quiet warm there, so I'd suggest a reservation inside for days like that.

Fresh pasta and wonderful live piano! Really enjoyed the calamari fritti and penne alla vodka with sausage. But the Ferruccini Alfredo was THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!! So rich and creamy. Amazing flavor and huge portions! We were all stuffed after dinner.
The service was nice. We weren’t in any hurry, so 1.5 hours for dinner was just fine. And the proximity (only a 5 minute walk north) was perfect for a meal before Second City.

I believe a guy by the name of Antonio was my server. He was well knowledgeable of the menu and the jalapeño gnocchi is all you need here.
The meatballs were not the best, at all.

Super comfortable Italian family restaurant. Felt like we were in a private room with our own personal chef. So many great options. You will find true Italian specialties. Pastas with cheese, marinara, vodka sauces. Tasty, flavorful and great service.

Great Italian food. The burrata was very fresh and delicious. Great service as well. Chicken Marsala was nicely cooked.
Food is amazing took a bit to come out but was worth it. We got the bread and butter, farmer’s salad, omlette and mushrooms and turky pesto panini and french toast for dessert. The server (Eva) was really sweet.
Delicious food with reasonable pricing. Made reservations before hand. Waited about 30 minutes to be seated. I specifically reserved for the main floor and the hostess attempted to take me to the basement “Tiffany Room.” Our server Josh was not very attentive and kept hiding in the back of a small room behind the bar. Our food was delicious almost everything we ordered was served by other staff. Would definitely visit again for the food. Recommend their Allá Vodka sauce with any pasta options.
Went there for weekend lunch. Great pasta and appetizers. We were disappointed by their Cesar Salad.
Neat outdoor patio space with great service. Feels more inviting to me than some of it's surrounding neighbors, and I bet it's really charming at night. The food is pretty good. The pizzas were fairly standard and although the spinach arugula salad was tasty it was just sort of thrown in a bowl. Fairly priced beers!

Sweet cozy place with yummy food
This is the second time I am here with my Fiancé. And we love this place.
Ambiance- beautiful. Smaller space but well maintained.
Wait time- if not reserved, about 90min
Bar- has bar seating and variety of cocktail and wine options.
Noise level- Average
They have a beautiful Piano area. They say they sometime. Never seen anyone playing though.
Food- my favorite is Jalapeño Gnocchi… I JUST LOVE IT. No comparison.
I took one star off because of the manager. We had just finished our dinner and our server came with check and said that the manager has asked him to ask us to go because there are people waiting. Excuse us mr.manager, We were seated 10min late from our reservation time and you are asking us to leave just because you couldn’t manage the reservations. Also, We heard two parties standing by the bar area and talking about inconvenience to them because of reservations mismanagement.
When we mentioned we still need to order dessert, server talked to manager and then got us the menu.
Our overall experience was good and loved food.
This place was just wonderful. Great service, amazing food, loved the decor and the building, loved the piano player and the impromptu performance from Emily. The salmon vesuvio was spectacular!! Great choice for our last dinner in Chicago.
