I loved it. The food was great and the service matched. Our waiter was the best and made it that much better. We were seated a lot sooner then we were told. Will definitely be back

Very nice atmosphere, with pleasent and fast service. The food was very nice with good portions for the average appetite. The only 'gripe' I could have was that they were a bit previous with the bill, it arriving before we'd all even finished the main course, let alone discussed desert. They did apologise though. We arrived just after 1pm and had around a 40 minute wait which wasn't too much of a problem with their text updates.

The food was awesome and our server was fun! There was a 45 minute wait but they took my cell number and sent a text when our table was ready, so we didn't have to just have to stand there and wait. It was me, my husband, and two kids. We spent, $150 before tip. It's a little pricey if you get food and drinks, but the meals were fantastic. Just plan to spend a bit of money.

A good place to visit here @navy pier. Ordered some of the best items we ordered from our previous trips. The quality of shrimps has been declining since our last visit. It doesn't taste the same. The rest of the items were great this time around though. Drinks are very refreshing as well.

This was an interesting stop! It was our first time there. The service was good. The food was good. The atmosphere was fun for Forrest Gump fans! We loved the trivia questions at the end! Double plus: they make a really good Bloody Mary!

Enjoyed my experience here. Service was nice and quick while food was still good. Unfortunately no one at our table saw Forrest Gump so the trivia was too difficult 😂 Wish there was a location in Toronto....

This place do not only serve food, but an entire experience inspired to the famous Forrest Gump movie. Everything recalls the movie, from the furniture to the pictures on the wall. It mostly serves shrimps, prepared in all the possible ways, but you can also find some fish dishes. We got shrimp dishes, of course, and they were all tasty, balanced and delicious. Staff kind and friendly. Quite expensive, but worth the price.

We have wanted to try one of these places and finally got the chance to when we visited the Navy Pier in Chicago. First thing, I hate that you have to walk through their merchandising store (like Cracker Barrel haha) before you get to the restaurant. I am glad I don't have small kids to bug me to buy them one of everything! We were seated quickly and the waitress made some recommendations. We ordered the garlic bread as she said it was to die for (it was not. I have made better stuff in my toaster oven at home). I had the Shrimper's Heaven (shrimp 4 ways, with dipping sauce and fries). It was a bit pricey but looked to have a lot of shrimp. I asked to remove the coconut shrimp from the basket and to have them replace it with any of the other types (grilled, fried, tempura) and was told it would be no problem. My husband got the BBQ Cheeseburger (with fries). While waiting for the food, the waitress came back and we played Forest Gump trivia. I think she was getting a bit exasperated at the end, when she couldn't stop my husband, who remembers every inconsequential trivia fact but can't remember his own birthday :) Hubby enjoyed his burger, however, when my shrimp arrived there were coconut shrimp on my plate. I pointed this out to the waitress who quickly brought me another selection of fried shrimp. I particularly liked the grilled and tempura shrimp, the fried was like something you would find in the freezer section of a grocery store. Fries were kind of squishy. Service was fast, food was good, but when we got the bill, I noticed they had charged me an extra $1. When I asked the waitress about it, she said that was what they charged for making a change to the shrimp order. After pointing out that she never mentioned this to me (nor could we find it on the menu). She spoke to the manager, and the charge was removed. So it ended up fine but still, being charged for making a minor change to an item, at a chain restaurant? Wow. So, the food was good, service was fine, prices were a bit high but it is Chicago. Glad we went but don't need to go again.

I picked this place because I LOVE seafood. It was good. I have definitely had better at other Bubba Gump locations. I feel like this location has less of a selection. My friend who didn’t like sea food, said her burger was just alright. Service was great! They have SWEET TEA. That’s always a plus!

The 1st time I'd ever went to Bubba Gump's was at the Pier. I loved it! The food was great, the service was good, and even the location is unique, though being able to overlook Lake Michigan would be awesome!! The food was some of the best we had in our visit to Chicago.

After a long day of traveling through Chicago, my friend and I sat down for dinner at Bubba Gump's. This was the first time either of us had eaten here, but the quality was pretty decent. Pros: Great atmosphere, attentive service, tasty food, and GREAT bread pudding. Cons: Shrimp Cocktail Appetizer was a bit chewy, and very expensive for the amount of shrimp you receive. Mahi was rather small, probably about 4 oz if I were to guess. Prices, of course, were a bit high.

While visiting the Chicago area I ran into another tourist who told me all about this place! I couldn't believe that they actually created a restaurant after such an iconic film, soI had to visit! It was a awesome experience! I loved how the decorations, meals and overall all enviornment went so wrll with the theme of the movie! I thought that it was very unique that they place the sign on the table and you flip it back and forth to let the waiter or waitress know that you wantbtheir attention! A very creative and out of the ordinary eating experience. I'll definitely be taking a few "movie junkie" friends of mine to this place!

We had to wait for awhile for a table but it was understandable. It was very busy day for them. Instead we sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited. We did get our table after we had our first drink. I had a po' boy sandwich and fries. It was super tasty and my boyfriend had pasta. He also loved it. We had three drinks total and with each drink we got to keep the glass. Super awesome incentive. If we ever visit Chicago again we will come back!

I never knew that this place was named after the Forest Gump movie until our server started asking us some trivia question's. We ate outside and we didn't have to wait to get seated. The server was very nice made some jokes and refilled water. I ordered the burger since I do not like seafood and my other half ordered some kind of shrimp bowl. I liked my burger the fries was good but she didn't like the bowl so much. Something about having ate better shrimp somewhere else. I enjoyed my burger my friends dish was also good he said. It was a good experience.

Had some delicious food, tasty drinks, and some excellent customer service. On the pier as well so it was a delightful night. Prices are reasonable and if you want a killer drink, I highly suggest the Bubba's Blue Hawaiian!

Our server was very nice and accomodating. The Forest Gump impersonator was quite entertaining and hit on all of the key phrases and quarks. The food/drinks were pricey for the quality. It's a good place for the experience and story.

Price per appetizers is around $6-10 and for main dishes around $15-25 as I remember. Very high quality seafood even compared to California and Florida's famous seafood restaurants. I will come back again. At lunchtime the wait can be around 10-20 minutes which did not feel long with a small gift shop at the entrance.

I love how the place is kinda hidden. Creates space for a huge store. The burger was great. The wait times? Not so much. But I understand as a Food manager my self. Burgers take time to be made that well.

One of the best tourist restaurants around the world. I personally stop in every year. Good service inside and outside, on the pier, can see the lake easily. Highly recommended. Enjoy!
