Sushi Dokku - Chicago - Photo album

What a gem! We came here for date night, food was absolutely delicious. We sat at the sushi bar and it was the best decision. Fish was super fresh and their sauces were super flavorful. Staff were all very attentive and accommodating, service was great and ambience was very date night vibes. Must tr
Met a friend on a lovely summer afternoon to sit on the patio at Sushi Dokku for cocktails and a few small bites. Always fresh and interesting! My personal favorite is the Tuna Truffle Nigiri, but you can’t go wrong with any selection…and their Sake selection is out of this world!
Went downstairs to the Booze Box Lounge. It was (as assumed) quite busy! We had to wait nearly 1hour for a table for 4, but had a fun time nonetheless. It was definitely loud, hampering any conversation and service was slow because of the quantity of people. But the drinks were great and the food wa
They were fully booked on their reservations page, but we went there to get on the waitlist and turned out there were many tables available, so I would try even if the page is full. Great sushi and quality, the scallop nigiri bites is delicious! Our highlight. We also tried the spinach salad which
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the friendly staff. The inside of the restaurant was bustling and packed, but luckily we were able to snag a table on the charming outdoor patio which was cozy and inviting. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with the variety
The menu has so many good different options and please, takoyaki for appetizer is a must! The maki rolls were well served but I particularly loved the chef dressed nigiris. I am still dreaming about the Tuna Truffle. If you’re looking for “all you can eat on a budget” and don’t care about quality, m
Great spot for a casual sushi lunch or dinner. The best part is they typically have availability for walk-in which is rare in the west loop area. The sushi tastes fresh and they’re pretty quick to get your food to your table for when you’re feeling just a tad hangry 🫢
My son has been wanting to take us to Booze Box for a very long time. It was definitely worth the wait. I loved the entrance in the alley with the nondescript arrow, then walking downstairs into a small and intimate space. Cory was our server and provided friendly, entertaining and attentive service
Modern Japanese restaurant. I visited at 12 pm Friday. Walk in is fine. When you visit west loop in Chicago, I strongly recommend this restaurant. decent quality of nigiri! I ordered chef dressed Nigiri, Udon, Crispy Maguro roll. all dishes are good. Nigiri are below seared Tuna (this is the best!
All three of us in my party LOVED our food. Service was excellent. We dined in at the Booze Box downstairs. Spicy maki tuna rolls, salmon and albacore rolls and tuna truffle nigiri were excellent. Gluten free menu available. Everything I wanted was on the gluten free menu and they had gluten fr
We first ate at Sushi Dokku (and have continued to do so since) in August 2022. We sat on the patio with a friend and had a great experience. The restaurant is laid back and it was very enjoyable being outdoors. The servers are all quite friendly and attentive with refilling water and getting more d
My husband and I had reservations for Booze Box, the speakeasy bar below Sushi Dokku. The chicken gyoza came out a bit cold, but everything else was incredible. We shared the Dragon and Hot Daisy rolls, which was the perfect amount of sushi. The DJ came on around 8:15 and the lowfi vibes were immacu
Everything here was awesome. The food, cocktails, service, atmosphere. I truly enjoyed it all. The staycation cocktail was fabulously balanced. The rolls were fantastic and so were the scallop bites, I would highly recommend those. The green tea cheesecake was fantastic for dessert. I loved the hot

My favorite Chicago restaurant. Shishito pepers, salmon, dragon roll, edamame and Gin shinsen (or 2). You will not go wrong. I ordered this probably 50 times in the last 3 years. I dream at times about thier dragon roll 🤣 Every time I go there I start thinking about opening my own Dokku franchise. D
I been to both sushi dokku and booze a handful of times and I love them both! The street food style menu and the creative cocktails are so good! Booze box has a great speakeasy like vibe, with its music and lighting! Great place to stop by after dinner or even for after work drinks and apps!
