I think this place is great. The atmosphere is really welcoming and relaxed. They have plenty of tables and chairs, there is no sense of being rushed, nor was I bombarded with annoying music. The service was excellent as well. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and patient. I really liked the selection of teas that they have for sale. As for the drinks that you can buy there, the taste was wonderful, BUT they put too much ice! Barely any drink in that cup. So I suggest that you ask them for only a little bit of ice if you decide to go there.
This spot is just gorgeous. I mean wow.
Definitely worthy of a stop on lunch during that tough collaboration retail week.
Adidas doing another collab with Gosha or something? Lines down the street for it and poor you working registers huh?
Stop by get some relaxing tea and watch the greenery grow in this garden house glass structure.
Though the spot is on an island between rush and state, you feel anything but alone here. The plants embrace you and the fermented green tea leaves and antibiotics ginger in my favorite, the Green Tea Ginger Twist will lift you up. Making you feel elevated, transcending you into oneness with your environment and surroundings filing you with a sense of Argo "tranquilitea".
This place gives you a serene connection with nature hard to find in the concrete jungle that is downtown let alone the heart of the Gold Coast.
Like for real though, I used to work at Abercrombie and Top Shop. Forget Starbucks, sipping a warm ginger twist or rooibos red under the light filled trees was my morning mindful activity or my winter afternoon wind down after the Black Friday rush. That's why I'm still a regular today.
Hope you all get as much peace from this gem as I typically do.
I've been coming here since this place first opened, and it's only improved with time. They redid the interior decor and moved the coffee/tea bar towards the middle (it used to be in the back). There was a kind of "lawless" atmosphere in the early days, but it seems more secure now. The staff are always friendly and drinks are as good as at other locations.
Love their tea! This location is clean and has a largish sized dining/seating area.
Great Cafe for different varieties of Teas ..Lots of Tea options and friendly staff to help you and answer any questions one have ..Well located in Downtown Chicago with excellent sitting facility and Glass Walls add to the decor and one can watch people breeze by the cafe and with free wifi one can spend hours enjoying this lively place ..
I found this place when I was looking for another. I was still not disappointed. I had the Mojitea with lemonade. Very yummy!
Friendly staff. Great outdoor and indoor space. Delicious tea. Free WiFi. Good place to work for a few hours.
Standard Argo, had good service! Service always makes a pleasurable experience.
As a visitor to Chicago, I had only tried their bottled tea for the first time a week before from another retailer, so I decided to drop in since I did not know they had actual physical stores and that they were Chicago-based. This was a great idea. The staff here is amazing and willing to help and explain and provide the best service for the best experience. They offer tons of teas and even coffee and other items. The indoor space is very inviting and quite large. Be sure to ask if there are any special promotions going on too. This is a great cafe to unwind at.
think starbucks but tea-based. offers kombucha as well! clean earthy atmosphere
This location was a quiet & cozy spot for us to enjoy a simple date. We frequented Argo Tea at least 3 times while visiting Chicago. Nice tea selections and small bites to eat. My husband really enjoyed their oatmeal raisin cookies.
Teas are great. I've had Matcha and Earl Grey, and both tasted really good.
Place is fine and with ample room to sit, though the chairs could use an upgrade.
I LOVE Argo Tea. My fav is Hot Green Tea Ginger Twist! Real ginger inside. Makes you warm & feeling good inside. Connors park has a fire place. Set is like a Conservatory. Super cute. Both spots are nice. Staff is friendly enough.
The Starbucks of Tea! Amazing place. They have free samples all the time and the baristas are always willing to help you try some teas that are not on the sample area. This specific location also has a garden feel, a nice place to hang out and get some work done.
Recommend this place. I ordered black tea coconut bubble tea!
Awesome place with delicious tea! The associate suggested we download the app to take advantage of "app-y hour"- for $2 off each of our teas AND a $3 credit! Lots of outlets, free Wi-Fi, cool AC. It was just what we needed after a hot day around Chicago!
