This is such a beautiful chocolate boutique. It's very clean and bright and the colors are just gorgeous. If you're going to eat chocolate, why not spend a little extra for the best tasting chocolate. They have a great variety of truffles, bars, and every season, they offer something new and exciting. Their bacon bar is probably the most popular. Just the right amount of saltiness to balance the sweet bitter chocolate...delish! If you can't stop by the boutique, you can also find their chocolate bars in Whole Foods Market.
Love this place! Love their chocolate! I’ve tried almost every flavor and have not been disappointed. I just bought truffles and put them in my deep freezer for the holidays! If your in Chicago - you must go and you must buy!
Located inside the Nordstrom Building in River North, Downtown Chicago. I came here to buy a good, well-package, exclusive chocolate as Thanksgiving present for family. They offer many kind of chocolate, from original taste to exotic taste. If you are not sure about the taste, try to ask for sample. I am sure they are happy to give it to you. I think this is one of chocolate that made locally from Chicago.
The bacon chocolate bar is HANDS DOWN the most delicious candy bar I've EVER had the pleasure of introducing to my taste buds. If I were rich, I'd have purchased a box of them... But at $12 a piece, I could literally only afford one. I've never eaten a candy car slower in my life, I wanted to savor every nibble!!
If you're looking for a moderately priced chocolate shop, this is not the place. However, the chocolates here are not only amazing but also extremely unique. Krug Champagne truffles? Yes.
These make great gifts and this company started in Chicago so I would definitely buy these. There are free samples around the store and don't forget the Bacon chocolate.
Such good chocolate. Yes, it's pricey, even over-priced. But the hype is real and the goods speak for themselves. They do have samples out usually and the people who work there are always nice and low-pressure.
Tasty artisan chocolates but highly overpriced. You can get 20% discount if you order online and enter their website through your mobile device. You will have to get a text subscriptiin though. The trick is that it works only if you enter tgeir website through your mobile device. Out of many chocolate bars I can recommend Apple and Cheddar: just excellent. Recommende in general if you are ready to pay $8 for a chocolate bar that is not even 100 g (3.5 oz).
If you're visiting the Shops at North Bridge, be sure to pop into this chocolate boutique. Known for funky combinations like bacon and chocolate, my favorites have to be the ancho chili pepper and dark chocolate bar and Mash Bill Truffle set. Also, try the champagne truffles – they're one of my favorite things to gift to friends and family.
I'm not a fan of sweets anymore or at least I thought I didn't like sweets until I walked in here. My little one & I were on a night on the town, when we walked in here.
We met Ingrid who was really nice to us. She told us all about the chocolate and how it was made locally. I had no idea that this store even existed until yesterday. She has a real passion for how every product is made.
Ingrid then asked what I liked and I told her I was a peanut butter nut. She then let me try an organic peanut butter bonbon topped with Himalayan Sea Salt. I took one bite and instantly got goose bumps. I looked at Ingrid and said, "I will never eat a Reese's Peanut Buttercup again!" Ingrid then told me that is why the owner made those. It was to make sure her husband never ate a Reese's again. Success! It was really magical. I typically don't eat candy anymore because it just doesn't taste good to me anymore but I think I may have found a new love. I'm back chocolate!
Ingrid then took us around the store and showed us some of the popular items. The store also has samples set up around the store. The first sample we tried was chocolate and bacon. At first I thought this is going to be wrong but after one bite I knew it was right. I mean were talking bacon and bacon makes everything better. After tasting this sample, I now know that this statement is true. This bacon chocolate would be amazing with like a smokey whiskey or bourbon. In fact, Ingrid told me that the owner has participated in some tastings like that. Mmmmm! Where is the sign up sheet for those events?
I was also amazed to learn that the candy is made local in Lincoln Park plus the owner plans on adding a candy tour. That sounds so cool. Maybe she can do like a Golden Ticket like Willy Wonka and I can eat as many of those organic peanut butter bonbons. Hopefully I won't turn into one but if I did I know I'd be delicious.
We also sampled the toffee which was incredible and a hazelnut candy with gold leaf on top. I will say this is the best candy I've had in a long time. How has this place hidden from me for all these years? Is there some secret chocolate society that is not telling the rest if us about this place? I think there keeping all this amazing candy to themselves.
This place is very exclusive. I went to there website to check out there locations. Talk about great locations: Beverly Hills-LA, Soho-NY, Madison Ave-NY, Caesar's Palace-Vegas, Lincoln Park, Downtown Chicago & 3 O'Hare Airport locations. Okay so the secret is out. Is it wrong if I become a chocolate stalker?
So we learned about an amazing business in Chicago and we are about to become regulars. Where else am I going to get my peanut butter bonbon fix? I also loved the customer service we received. Sometimes when you enter a store with a child, salespeople treat you differently. Ingrid was great with my little one and she knew her chocolate. They are very lucky to have a great staff that gets customer service. I can't wait to go back because the chocolate was out of this world.
Didn't know this place existed until after I had moved from the area. Learned about it when from my wife when she would special order truffles for us to be delivered to our home in Florida. Stopped in the next time I was in town for business and now I have to come in every time I'm in Chicago. Undeniable quality!
A terrific, locally owned entrepreneurial venture where you can explore a more complex and sophisticated chocolate experience than the larger stores. They have some amazing things in this tiny store!
Loved the chocolates! Expensive . . . yes, but it's always amazing to me when people expect to get Prada for Walmart prices! I would definitely go back.
The store associate Francesca was very helpful in suggesting chocolates for gifts. We appreciated the service we received.
Used to do all of our corporate gifts from here. Fantastic delights. This visit for Valentine's Day. Great service!
