Happened upon this gem while looking for a pre-concert dinner. Lovely service, delicious food (the lemon panna cotta was sublime!), and the wine recommendation from our server was spot on for two different meals. While it doesn’t have many gluten-free options, I still had an absolutely delicious and wonderful meal.
This place is crazy good! Love that they don’t “over-do” any dish here. Insane flavors, invested service, great prices. Some of the best Italian I’ve ever had. Just go...thank me later.
My wife and I have been coming here for years, and in a city of many, many choices for Italian food, I️t remains our favorite. Cozy, authentic vibe in the room and the food is consistently exceptional. We have never had an issue with service, and on the contrary have been taken care of with personal and genuine detail. If you love rustic and unpretentious seasonal Italian food, check I️t out. Plus, that wine list.
First time trying this place and was delighted with wonderful service. Our group of 9 was given great attention and no complaints from any of us. The food dishes were amazing from the mix of flavors and the presentation. Great price deals and the dessert was fab.

The food was fantastic! Great variety to pick from. We were surprised at how large your Italian wine list was. It was our first experience here, but we will surely be back. We love Andersonville!

Wonderful food! Great variety on the tight menu that stays fresh as they update with the seasons. Cocktails are delicious, had an amazing amaretto sour here. Service is delightful. Took my family last time and it was so cozy and sweet for a group. Always get dessert. Amazing dessert.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Varied, interesting menu. Portion control was perfect. I had pasta limone that was excellent. Appetizers were very good as was the hazelnut tart I had for desert.
We originally went in for bread, but decided to try wine and some cheese. The waiter was amazing and we were even more impressed when we discovered he was new!
The food and service was first class, it was slightly too loud, but after a few glasses of wine....

Wonderful neighborhood place. Service is always friendly and spot on. Love the quaint space but not for everyone as it’s pretty tight but that’s the charm.
Food is very good, appetizers are great- meatballs, grilled octopus and grilled polenta are my favorites.
Pasta dishes are all great but only complaint is they could be a bit larger …never seems like enough

I ordered the special meatloaf and it was AMAZING. Portions seem small but are very filling and the seasoning and cook on everything was immaculate! The waiter was super nice & was very attentive. Potatoes tasted great, but it was a cold salad and took us by surprise. It's meant to be cold, I'm just a picky eater 😅

Anteprima is one of the finest Italian restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining at. It is a jewel of the Andersonville neighborhood. The staff here is always wonderful and treats you like family.
The small plates are ideal for sharing, as well!

This place was good, but didn't wow me. I want to go back and try a bit more of the menu. Cocktails were good not great. Food was solid but didn't change my life. Overall a very good italian spot.
They could not find the reservation I phoned in a week earlier. Limited us to an hour and a half and then we were told our table had to be vacated for the new arrivals. We had ordered two delicious appetizers, the great bread, two wonderful deserts and coffee. Would have nice to have lingered a little bit

Beautiful ambiance and excellent wait staff. It took some time for my food to come but it was absolutely worth the wait for a fresh hot meal. I hate getting food thats been sitting under a heat-lamp for 30 mins at fine dining establishments.
Also before adding additional seasoning to your meal, taste it first! This is true Italian cuisine hence true Italian flavors/seasoning. #delicious
Great place for a nice family dining experience or a lovely date night with someone or solo.
Solid neighborhood spot for tasty food. Big wine list. Went on a Saturday and every table was filled. Made reservations and we walked in and were seated immediately. What's not to like about fresh pasta? Our waitress Stacy was attentive on a crowded night and managed to light a bday candle for a friend's bday dessert. Look forward to checking out the patio. I've been here 3 times and every time has been amazing! Everyone here is so friendly and the food is just amazing. Their seasonal specials are fresh and imaginative. The charred octopus is a favorite for sure! Can't wait to come here many more times.
This place is good ole’ Italian food that isn’t trying to be anything else. I wouldn’t say that it isn’t inventive, but sometimes you just want good food to enjoy in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The ravioli was the best but I really enjoyed my mushrooms!! We will def be back and hope to try to desserts!
Absolutely great experience at Anteprima for dinner with a colleague. The dinner was excellent and so was the service. I will definitely be returning soon!
We enjoyed every dish we ordered. We came to Chicago for a visit, I don’t know where I learned this restaurant but it was marked on my google map. We glad we made the efforts to come here from our hotel in downtown.
