I have seen G4F on social media and my friend and I finally gave it a try. Let me get into it! The food was pretty good. I really liked the beef and the tofu. The other dishes could have been more refined! I do think the egg plant picks have been presented better. The fried rice we got i have to admit was pretty salty. The services was okay. It suppose since it was so busy there seemed to be less attention given to customers. The atmosphere or ambiance like it call it was pretty good. It seemed very clean and pleasant. Overall, I would say giving G4F a try isn’t a bad idea. The beef is my favorite dish for sure!

Everything was delicious! We had the pork belly, it is served cold but it's loaded with amazing flavor! The Tom yum was very good with lots of seafood in it. The curry fish balls had great flavor and texture. And the scallops were big, tender, and loaded on top. All so good!

This is a great point for Don’t judge a book by its cover!! The name threw me off and location, but man was I WRONG!! This place was great!! The oysters were fresh the scallops tasted amazing!! The soft shell crab is fresh!! It’s pricey food but it was delicious. I would go back here definitely the servings are huge though so I was ok with the price. If your thinking of trying this place I would say go for it!!

An all-around delicious seafood-specialty restaurant tucked away in Old Chinatown. The interior is cozy, simply decorated, and seats groups large and small. Our group of 8 was seated with no wait on a Sunday afternoon, and we ordered the following dishes (**= especially recommend): - Millionaire Fried Rice**: this was a unique dish that I’ve never had before and really enjoyed—it’s like a wet fried rice, a bit like congee in texture. The bits of seafood inside provided for some nice fresh flavors. - Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp**: the egg yolk coating on these large shrimps were strong and flavorful; I personally prefer it with shell-on. - Tea Smoked Duck (half)**: This duck was quite good— tender, juicy, and flavorful. - Egg Tofu with King Mushroom**: This was my favorite dish, as I’m a huge fan of Japanese egg tofu— the tofu is steaming hot, cooked perfectly, and bursting with a delicious fried egg flavor. The king mushroom’s texture pairs perfectly with the tofu. - Seafood Tom Yum Soup: fresh and aromatic flavors. - French Style Beef Tenderloin: the beef was very flavorful, but a tad overcooked for us. - Baby Boy Choy with Garlic: a classic vegetable that was well stir-fried. - Singapore Fried Noodle: These noodles were very flavorful and not too soft/over-cooked as it sometimes tends to be. I liked the variety of ingredients in here, from the shrimp to sausage to veggies. The service was friendly and attentive, and since we spent over $100, we got to choose a “prize” from a hat, which turned out to be a free order of pan-fried dumplings with our next purchase! The total including tip was ~$20 per person, so while it’s definitely a bit more expensive than some other nearby spots, the small difference is well worth it. — Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5 Food: 5/5 Ambience: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall Value: 4.8/5

I took my family to have New Year Dinner at Go4Food. My siblings came from California and were surprised that the food was so good and delicious than what they have ever tried in California. It was the best Chinese/Cantonese restaurant in Chinatown, Chicago IL. You must try the seafood dishes which was featuring. Steamed scallop/oyster with garlic sauce & vermicelli and stir-fried lobster with salted egg-yolk sauce are my favorites. My siblings were amazed by French style beef tenderloin. I are going to book the private dinner with chef’s special menu for the family gathering for upcoming holidays.

This is literally the best Chinese I've had in all of Chicago. I wish I could go more often but my wallet would hurt. As a started, I had the Taco Baos. These are delicious and I wish it was an endless supply! I ordered the 100 spice chicken and my partner had the 100 spice beef. Both are very delicious! They are spicy but the flavors are incredible! I highly recommend this place! The only thing is that it is quite expensive but again the quality of the food is very high. The service is good. The food is made quick and served right away! Make sure you make a reservation or you may be turned away or have to wait quite a long time.

My favorite place for food. Great Hong Kong style cuisine. They serve fresh seafood. My all time favorite is the French style beef - awesome taste, can't find it anywhere else. Restaurant is a bit tight and packed. But you can also order to go. Some great options for lunch boxes.

The freshest seafood I've had in Chicago! The owner Wendy is so nice and really cares about sourcing the freshest seafood. I highly recommend the razor clams and steamed scallop. Their salted egg yolk crab was so flavorful and the meat was easy to get out. The taco bao was a fun concept, and actually delicious! It's a small restaurant but food comes fast. Can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Very simplistic menu offering a variety of flavor and soul put into the food. The staff are exceptionally kind and sufficient with Wendy being a great server. My husband and I tried the potstickers which are to die for and the French style steak which definitely lives up to the hype. Definitely a hidden gem please try people!

Love the seafoods here! The beef tasted a little bit too much cooking wine though.

This is slightly off the busy Wentworth Ave in Chinatown but is worth the stop. A very small shop but huge flavors and portions. The prices are fair also. The hot&sour was exactly that and had seafood in it. Kimchi fried rice was nicely pickled. Lastly the fried softshell crab was nicely batter fried and large portioned. It was exactly what i hoped it would be. The staff was also very helpful.
