Great restaurant and great service I would recommend the truffle ravioli and tiramisu. Service was great and waiters were friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy and definitely a good place to be and have dinner at.
Felt like Goodfellas walking to the back in the seating area lol. Food is amazing fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and rack of lambs was amazing
Always a pleasure eating here. From time to time I make my way over for a great meal. Today was one of those days. I sat at the bar, was served promptly and had an awesome conversation with a longtime customer. The food is superb, the bartender is on point and the atmosphere is old-school Italian. Thank you again for a great meal that I can still smell and taste. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Amazing place!!! Went to try this place on a whim and did not regret it. Lovely back area with lots of seating. The service was phenomenal. Very authentic Italian restaurant. Lasagna was delicious, and so was the Italian ice. The waiters knew what wines to pair with specific dishes and had great recommendations.
I can't say enough good things about this place, their food it's outstanding. We just had lunch and truly enjoyed. As a suggestion, please, let you servers know to ask if guests are done with their food before taking it away. My friend's soup was taken away while we were conversing and so was my plate as I was still enjoying my scallops. So fast, we had no time to stop the server.
Other than that we have no complaints.
We dined outdoors on a beautiful evening and food was excellent, including the bread. :)
Also enjoyed an appetizer of sausage and peppers, followed by veal scallopine and scallops alla Cristina.
Delicious and well presented.
Service was attentive, congenial, and accommodative.

If you are looking for that old classic Italian feel, look no further! This is your spot! Dena, our server was so lovely, not to mention the others making our night out so wonderful! The food was spectacular and our homemade Tiramisu topped off this oh so pleasant evening!
Small intimate setting with a quaint old world feel to it this place will make you feel like you’re in old Italy! The portions are large as to be expected from any good Italian restaurant and the atmosphere was welcoming with attentive staff. Food was great and exactly what I had hoped for. If you’re in to hearty flavorful fresh Italian good made to order, this is the spot for you.
It was extremely good food! We met family there who were all in town for my daughter's run in the Chicago Marathon. The spaghetti dish she had was perfect for a dinner the night before the race!
Perfect place for a celebration dinner with friends. Excellent food and service was great. Favorites were the linguine alla genovese, baked mussels, gnocchi with meat sauce. Love how tucked away this place is, it is special. 💖
I love this place! I’ve been here a few times and enjoy it every time. I got the chicken Marsala and my boyfriend got the veal scaloppini. The server was so nice and worked with my substitutions, I asked for the Marsala to be served over angel hair pasta. Im not too sure but I think you get a bowl of penne with marinara. They give you such a huge serving too! I had enough to take home.
Great authentic Italian atmosphere, great Owner, great food, you just need to be patient for fresh food on crowded days 👌🏼
What a great place!! The food and service were outstanding!! Eyes rolling back delicious from beginng to end.Our waitress Nina was very attentive and pleasant. Definitely a new go to!!
By far the best Italian food in the city! They have a patio with tents separating each table. Perfect for social distancing and completely cozy with the personal heaters. We had the special lobster ravioli in brown butter sauce and the grilled calamari as an appetizer. The food was so yummy!! Street parking is easily found and free. Public transit is also really close with the western Ave pink line and western bus within short proximity.

Favorite spot of Oakley Ave restaurants. In operation since the 30s.
Food was very good. Very consistent with large portions. Service was very helpful and knowledgeable. Great wine selection. In the same place for 90 years so the physical wear and tear is evident but it has a new coat of paint and in very nice shape. Decent price point. Very enjoyable time.
