This is a great restaurant with great service! They serve popovers and chicken when you arrive. We have a really great menu and the service is prompt. I had the turkey club.

Beautiful place for lunch and the food and drinks were pretty good. I think the day I was there they were woefully understaffed and so service was very kind but also very slow. I of course would still return as the convenience and atmosphere outweighs one trips worth of slow service.

The day I ate there they offered an amuse bouche of chicken consommé. The lobster roll was excellent.
Food was good. Service today was a little slow. They are understaff. Popover and consomme is warm.

Since its been over 2 years since my previous review, I thought it was time for an update. Upstate remains to be one of my favorites, if not my favorite restaurant in NYC. Wonderful surprise inside of Neiman Marci. Delicious sandwiches and salad with prompt on point service. Great ambience quiet comfortable seating. Relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend for lunch.

Bar is right by the side of the restaurant. More convenient and they carry almost same menu and you can still request same menu.
