Went to Eris last night for the first time and it was amazing! Jam packed on a random winter Sunday night, this was a good sign! We ended up sitting at the bar to avoid a 20 min wait for a table because we were starving. The beer cheddar dip with pretzel bread was very good, smooth, good flavor, not gritty or oily. I had the pork tenderloin which was out of this world good. Flavorful and melt in your mouth tender. The spaetzle was a interesting side, the carrot purée had a little kick, and the cabbage and apples lent well to the pork. My friend had the half chicken, which was juicy and tasty. We shared bites of each and both were very impressed. We each had a few 5oz pours of various ciders, all were very good. Nice range of flavor profiles on the menu for those. Would be nice to see a flight option on the menu though. The place is beautiful as well, love the glass entrance. The owner Michelle was there and she was lovely! Overall, super impressed. We will be back!

I absolutely love this place! Not only did they do a fantastic job with the decor but the staff is just as wonderful. Also everything on the menu is very good, I’ve tried so many things already and I can’t wait to continue to try it all. The ciders are always delicious and I love how every time I go there is a new cider and/or beer on the menu. Anytime someone is visiting me in the city I bring them here, lunch or dinner doesn’t matter, it’s always good.

We live in Avondale and I’ve been SO excited to check this place out. Our first experience was outstanding (we sat at the bar). I’ve never been into cider, but was ready to give it a try. After walking in (the space is incredibly gorgeous), we experienced some of the best service we have received in a very long time. The menu is perfect, the staff is wonderful and bring an excitement to the experience, and the cider is phenomenal - and I usually don’t like cider. After 5 minutes I was messaging everyone I know and telling them to come here. - thank you Eris! with much gratitude from someone who has worked in the service industry for over 15 years (and never writes reviews)! 💕 (also parking is super easy, and right off the blue line)

I love everything about this place! The ciders are amazing with tasting size glasses. I have also learned about ciders and which type I favor. Before I came to Eris I had no idea. Big shout out to the Chef for great fusion cooking, a real step above standard bar food. Gluten free and veggie option make me a happy camper!

Very focused and amazingly executed food menu. Lovely range of house brewed ciders and beers. We loved everything we ate and drank. The service sitting at the bar was attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly once it was ordered. Our first visit was everything we hoped it would be after waiting so long for Eris to open. Welcome to the neighborhood!

My partner and I stumbled upon this gem while in the area looking for lunch... What a pleasant surprise! A beautifully restored old building also featuring an incredible beer garden on the side. I had the BBQ bacon grilled chicken sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten! The service was excellent, with quick seating, an attentive server, and hardly any wait for food. Exceptionally clean and very tastefully decorated bathroom! I look forward to returning so I can sample the cider and beer. They told us there's a Happy Hour 4-6 M-F with $5 cider/beer and app specials!

This place is essential to the Chicago craft beer scene experience. They're obviously known for their ciders, but I had one of the best brown ales I've ever tried. I'm not vegan, but I ordered their vegan meatloaf and was blown away. Come for the cider, stay for literally everything. I couldn't recommend this place more.

Incredible food, building, and service across the board. Their vegetarian options are just as good as everything else and their beers are as good as their ciders. If you get a chance, go say hi to bartender Efrain. He's a super solid dude, who loves to chat. His energy and service was top notch the last time I ate at the bar.

Support a local, woman owned business. Had a great experience at Eris. The outdoor seating is fantastic. Plenty of tables and a little play area for kids. Started with a glass of Punx and really enjoyed it. Had the shrimp and grits as they were serving brunch and do glad I did. They were excellent. They have a decent kids menu as well. Will definitely be coming back.

We had a team meeting at Eris Brewery and had a great experience overall. We arrived a little late around 8:20pm and the kitchen closes at 9pm. We ordered cauliflower wings, pasta prima, grilled cheese with tomato soup, and a couple of ciders. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The only downside was that we ordered a dessert that never arrived, but it wasn't added to the bill either, so we assumed the server may have just missed it. One thing that was a little frustrating was that when we declined another drink at 9:15pm, it took the server another 10 minutes to bring us the check, despite there only being a few tables in the room. He even came back and asked if there was anything else we would like, which was considerate, but then went to stack chairs for another 5 minutes before finally bringing us the bill. It's frustrating when servers drag out the bill unnecessarily, and it can feel like you're being held hostage when you're ready to leave. When the server first asked if we wanted another cider, he had a terminal in his hand, so it's unclear why he didn't ring us up in that moment since they were closed and we were ready to go. Overall, I would highly recommend Eris Brewery for a team meeting or casual night out. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The service could have been a bit more efficient, but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and superb service. Love the burger, mac & cheese, and shrimp & grits. The highlights on the drink menu are the ciders, and the blends of cider & beer, which are very refreshing and unique, definitely not something I've seen anywhere else. Love it!

Love this place. So many gluten free options! They have a skillet gluten free cookie! The cider is delicious and we got a flight to try lots of the flavors. The prices are a little expensive but it is a great date night! We can't wait to come back again.

Loved the ambiance of this place - didn't feel too hipster-y like some breweries. Ask about the history of the building - I like to think the disco ball upstairs is a remnant of when it was a Korean temple. Food was FANTASTIC (pork belly gyros were so good, the meat was so tender), as was the cider. I'm not a beer girl so it was awesome to have more than one option for hard cider.

So my friend and I came here because my birthday plans got changed at the last minute. We decided to have a nice lunch together, she suggested ERIS and I can't say enough great things about this place it is absolutely amazing. The food is great. Great is the best way to describe how good the food was. I had a brisket burrito, yes, yes I said a brisket burrito with asparagus on the side. It was to die for. This is quite possibly one of the best food menus for a craft brewery. I suggest coming here for an event. I suggest going to their trivia night. Even a simple lunch with friends this is the perfect spot for almost any occasion.
