Totally delicious!! My boss and I are in Chicago now and we chose to get take out from Sakura on our first night in town. My boss ordered their steak and and was pleasantly surprised at how great of a steak it was and with the chefs who cooked his steak to a "completely memorable" medium temperature, he was in mouth-awe... I ordered the Dynamite Roll and with every bite I felt a tiny explosion go off in my mouth, it is a taste-experience I hope to meet again before we have to leave...maybe we'll even dine-in next time!!

Husband and i stopped in on a whim on a Friday. There were no seats on the tappanyaki tables so had to sit in the regular dining room. It was PERFECT! Food was delicious, and the service was better. I don’t think my water glass dropped below half full once, and the waiters were so nice. Will definitely be back and make a reservation next time!

This place has been for a decade or more. The atmosphere and service has always been spectacular. I usually sit at the bar and have immediate service and great conversation if you wish for it. The food is amazing. I tend to stick to the rolls. While there are a lot of fried rolls thier fresh fish is exactly that and clean. I tend to lean toward their volcano and eel avocado rolls. Their tiger and catapiler is amazing too.

I’ve been here with a large group and also by myself, and I’ve had great experiences every time. The food is delicious with huge portions, and everyone who works there is kind and accommodating. The teppanyaki meals come with noodles, and that’s always a fun bonus in my opinion, too!

Had a lovely meal with friends here a couple weeks ago. The restaurant was very busy but has a good atmosphere with the hibachi grills going and all of the fun food antics. Loved our sushi rolls - would recommend the Dragon and the Mango Salmon - but there was a mix-up in the kitchen with our appetizers so we didn't get them until the end of the meal. Not a big deal at all, but definitely a popular place so a reservation is smart!

Probably my favorite place in Chicago. The food is delicious for a reasonable price. The staff are all incredibly kind and accommodating. It’s great for a romantic dinner date or getting lunch with friends. I’ve been here several times and always walked away happy. Keep up the great work!

I personally am not very familiar with Hibachi restaurants, my buddy, on the other hand, considers himself to be a "Hibachi connoisseur." He has been eating at them regularly since he was about 13 years old (needless to say...he knows his Hibachi LoL) This is the first time him or I have been to this particular restaurant. And everything here, in my opinion, was "top notch!" The food and the flavors were intensely delicious! My buddy's statement was, "This is the best Hibachi restaurant I have ever been to," which I believe speaks volumes as to the quality of the food. We started by ordering a sushi roll that was pretty good. He ordered the grilled steak and shrimp Hibachi, and I ordered the garlic scallops and garlic shrimp Hibachi. I have to be honest, even though the garlic scallops and shrimp were incredible, the grilled shrimp was a tad bit better. And I will definitely be ordering them the next time I go back. My buddy told me the cost was a bit more than an average Hibachi restaurant, but we both agreed that it was without a doubt, worth it. Overall, highly recommended and will definitely be returning!

This is one of the best Teppanyaki restaurants in Chicago. The service is great. The food it’s amazing, delicious, and you will have leftovers to take home. Our cook’s name was Henry. He was awesome and funny. I would totally recommend, I love it, and so would you!

My family LOVES teppanyaki/hibachi. My 8 year old daughter loves it the most. So, when she says that Sakura is better than Benihana…you know you’ve got a good thing. The ingredients are considerably higher quality. The sushi is delicious (unlike Benihana). The lobster was the best I’ve had since the lobster boil at Bluegrass in Highland Park. Better ingredients, better service and lower prices even.

The food was excellent and they have great tasting and flavorful sake. We went during lunch and sat in the dining room, so the service was quick and attentive. I definitely will be coming back with some friends to sit at one of the large hibachi tables.

This place is a local favorite. It’s also been amazing every time I’ve gone. Food is always such good quality, with good clean ingredients. The presentation is always so precise and beautiful. Always love coming here. Personally would recommend the teppanyaki steak dinner. The food is served multiple times throughout the meal so you will never be hungry. Service is also amazing and always so kind. If I could give 6 stars I would. Special shoutout to my chef this time, his name was Ping. If the people in charge are reading this, make sure he sees this. He did an amazing job.

Delicious little place with great food, great drinks, and equally great service! I had the Sakura martini, tuna sashimi and the Red Dragon roll… everything was great, beautifully served, and the fish was fresh! Definitely going again!
