I went to Roof on the Wit with my girlfriends to celebrate my bday. First of all the view and the ambiance is incredible. Not to mention the food and the drinks. Bleri, the manager, arranged great table for us and made sure we had amazing time and professional service. Veronica was our server, she is the best! Great place for any celebration.
We hosted a corporate party at the Roof. It was spectacular! From the planning phase thru execution the professionalism and customer service skills are second to none. The venue itself is perfectly laid out with several cozy areas to meet and mingle as well as large standing areas for socializing and dancing. Not to mention the view of the city from the 27th floor! Never had to wait for a drink. Hostesses mingled through the room offering to get us drinks and passing appetizers and munchies. The staff was also able to accommodate us brining in our equipment for a big new product reveal. Food quality and quantity exceeded expectations. If you want to impress your guests, this is THE place to host an event in Chicago!
Amazing atmosphere and attention to detail was obvious. Top notch music paired with food that was out of this world. Couldn’t recommend ROOF enough and I would gladly make a return.

The views were beautiful and the staff was so attentive! Andrea was our server and was absolutely AMAZING!!! Another server, I believe her name was Laura, was also amazing!!! Thank you for such a nice experience!!!
Creative cocktails in a sophisticated, trendy place that is perched high above Chicago. It offers great service a nice menu, and spectacular views. The ROOF on theWit is the place to be.
This venue is just out this world! The view of the city is just amazing. This rooftop venue really does have a lot to offer with wonderful service. There is a hotel downstairs which makes your experience a lot more fun ! I recommend this venue to anyone !
The atmosphere at Wit is one of my favorites throughout all of Chicago! Awesome vibes, drinks, and people, all matched with Panoramic city views. I highly recommend Wit to anyone visiting!

Had a phenomenal time!!! Best way to celebrate my 40th. Bottle service & wait staff top notch
A fun ambiance, creative food and drinks, and excellent service. Desserts and cocktails are the showstoppers here.
What else could you ask for? Just make sure to come for an early dinner if you want a dining experience rather than a clubbing experience.
The food was fantastic! I had a chili cheese hot dog, my husband and daughter had Italian beef. The fries and onion rings were average.
It is a loud place and you have to be in a certain line depending upon what you want. This is a little confusing. You can't order a salad and a hot dog in the same line. Other than that, we were very full and happy!
Suitably sleek and stylish. Fabulous spot to watch the world go by and to see the lights change in the windy city.
My mint julep was lovely while the rest enjoyed their cocktails - which are cheaper than the wine which is crazy.
Beautiful views, super hip and sexy interior, good service, and awesome small plates - this is the kind of establishment that makes one feel cool.
Great View. What You Would Expect. It's a trendy hotel bar in a big city, so of course the drinks are overpriced and the atmosphere is a little pretentious, but the view alone makes the trip worth it. Bar staff was friendly and the drink menu decent. At night, the view is amazing.
My husband and I went to Roof for a drink after a long day sightseeing. The drinks were good and the view was nice. Very good atmosphere.
Yes, it's a hotel bar, but it's fun, new, and pretty. Drinks are basic, even the special menu. SO much eye candy- sit back, order wine, and enjoy!
Pretty but pricey! Paid $20 for one cocktail. They did have a happy hour menu but I didn't like their cocktail options. Loved the service although it seemed as if the host had a somewhat catty demeanor. Our server was sweet though!
The decor and lighting was beautiful to say the least.
I didn't try any of their food options because we were short for time but the drink I ordered, Ginger Snaps, was delicious. It was off of their Seasonal Cocktail menu.
Mmm not too much more I can say other than book a reservation and that if you're taking a Lyft or Uber from this location to ask the front desk for assistance because it can be tricky for the driver to find you if the location isn't pinned correctly.
Used to come here all the time but haven’t been back since the remodel, so it was a nice surprise. Food was good for a club. Service was fine. Atmosphere was great. This is one of the oldest rooftop bars in Chicago and the rebranding has kept it relevant. The retractable roof let’s you enjoy the views all year round, so it’s worth coming for a day party and a night out.
Excellent venue for any occasion! I attended a wedding cocktail 🍸 hour. The atmosphere was awesome! The decor was contemporary with a flair of nouveau. I loved the fact that the roof retracted. The seats were comfortable, and the bar staff were skilled in their craft, using stop shelf product to produce the desired drinks. I definitely would recommend this venue, and I would love to return myself! I would consider this venue for a personal event.
Service and staff were amazingly delightful. The drinks were very on point. The open air rooftop space was picturesque and met all of my expectations. The food was great with the exception of the taco bar. Maybe it is because I am from Texas, but the taco meat and elotes was not quite up to home standards. The meat was dry/tough and not quite flavorful enough and the elotes was dry and not zesty enough. However all the other food was great!!
Cool spot with DJs apparently every night. The Thursday night DJ was so so, but I've been here before and there was a pretty good DJ then. Drinks are very good and this is where I found my love for a new drink I've never had before. The bartenders are super friendly. Be aware, while this is a rooftop, it's not outside, but enclosed. Can't talk to the food unfortunately but it looked decent from what I saw coming out. This place can get crowded, so if it's a weekend, just prepare for that or even call ahead.
Only visited Chicago twice, however when I do, I stay at the Wit. Rooftop is big, airy and lively. Fun place for entertaining, drinks and food. Service is extremely nice and accommodating. You cannot beat the location, only one block away from the Riverwalk!
I’ve lived in Chicago for a year now & this place has won me over week by week. If you’re looking for a sexy fun day and/or night out please visit here. The food and drinks top it all. I came for a birthday lunch and my bartender Ruben surprised me with a birthday treat! Thanks to him everyone kept buying me shots all afternoon. Ruben, we’ll see you soon!! Thanks ROOF on theWit for such an amazing time.
I had an amazing experience visiting the rooftop. If you come here you must ask for RJ the bartender is the best. He made everyone feel like a VIP and should be the lead trainer. The music was great, nice crowd. I highly recommend this place.
!!!!!!!pay for the restaurant when you're ready to leave. We were asked to pay, and when we went to dance, all the food and cocktails were taken from the table. There was a lot of food left. Not seriously.
Great decor. We had reservations in lounge, great window table by fireplace. Stunning views. Excellent cocktail. Good music, can get loud. Small dance floor. Pizza oven. Beautiful bathrooms. Slow service but great attitude with a smile. Stylish crowd. Dress to impress.
Great rooftop bar/ restaurant/ night club. Good pizza, good food, and great atmosphere. They also have sushi, salads until a certain time, then only pizza and drinks after the kitchen closes.
The ginger snapped drink is great, as well as the margherita pizza and prosciutto pizza. The salads are great too.
Lasers and hazer fog effects. With colored lighting.
Also, the roof and certain walls can retract for great weather nights.
LOOK! Hear me out y'all, I had a reservation at midnight right, this my first time hearing about the place, they got us in there so fast and eloquently, no cap. Black wrist bands on point. So I was hungry and wanted to order a gluten free pizza, Shelby made it happen, but her manager, I did not catch her name but she had dope blazer on, told me that they were out of gluten free crust but they had something for me. I went to the restroom for real y'all and came back to a gluten free pizza toast no cap it was bangin!! The best part is they didn't have to go out they way to do this and they did. I recommended this place for EVERYBODY.
Pizza was surprisingly good! Drinks weren’t my favorite, but the ambiance and ladies night on Wednesday made up for it. Would come back for happy hour in the future!

This place has a great vibe, great music, cocktails and bites. My waitress China over did herself with having the bartender make my husband a special drink and surprise us with an anniversary shout out. We spent hours there and had an awesome time. Will definitely return when in town again.
One of the best rooftops in Chicago
Loved the ambiance here
Staff were very friendly and welcoming
Would like to comeback soon
What a wonderful place to have a drink and look at the city. It even has a roof that opens during nice weather. Didn't have any food but what I saw being delivered to other tables looked good.
