Owner is usually there and always very pleasant as are the servers. Very pleasant menu and the foods are good. Have been here many times. Evening free parking next door in bank lot. Last night had a very tasty, not spicy, fish stew/soup. Comes with plantains, salad and white rice.
We joke that we have to keep coming here until we found something on the menu we don't like. Seriously one of my very favorite restaurants of all time. I'm picky with beef and always love it here. I saw La Fonda on Seated and decided to check it out. I went with one other person. We both ordered a margarita, empanada, and the chicken with Spanish rice and plantains that also came with guacamole! Everything was AMAZING! We will be going back. Also their chips and salsa were delicious and serve
Great fresh made salsa a wide variety of Latin American dishes focusing primarily on the flavors of Colombia. Reasonable prices easy street parking close to Foster exit off of Lake Shore Drive.
My first Colombian meal in Chi and I have to say I was very pleased. Authentic taste like grandmas cooking! Very nice place!

This place has very good food. If you enjoy Central American food, this place is the restaurant to visit! The drinks are also amazing!
Wonderful service, and the food is absolutely amazing. I'd definitely recommend the arepa de choclo and the tostones con hagao. With margaritas, of course. Will definitely come back.
Big portion sizes, and good drink specials. Good place for bigger groups since there's 2 main dining areas.
