This has been one of my favorite spots for Jamaican food for awhile but I really just want to shout out the young lady running the restaurant Thursday 9/22. This woman was running the bar, taking the orders, serving the orders, checking out the orders, and grabbing all the delivery orders by herself and the restaurant was packed! She worked her butt off. Thank you so much to her. I loved my food. Get my girl some help!

This was a nice surprise. You are greated with a friendly, warm welcome. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was extremly prompt. I ordered the Jamaican Stew Meat dish which was so omg tasty, the portions were large (leftovers), and my drink (as the young ppl say) was "on point!" I definately will return to try the other menu items.

I was on a work trip in Chicago, IL and wanted some island food. My friend found this spot and I’m so glad we came!! Our server was name Delilah and she was awesome!! I got the oxtail, stewed cabbage, rice and peas, with island Mac. Needless to say I cleaned my plate! I tried my friends stew chicken and it was bomb. I can’t wait to comeback to Chicago! This is definitely a restaurant to come to.

They have an Open Mic every Wednesday night 7-close. Always some great talent that comes through! I had their burger and beer special, they put their signature sauce on the patty. Sooooo good!

If Jamaican food with a dose of music and drinks if what you are looking for, this is definitely your place. The mood of the restaurant was laid back and completely relaxed. The food was very good with lots of vegetarian choices. The drinks were good as well. A definite relaxed vibe.

New manangemente now, seemingly good service and female emancipation since from the servers to the Dj were women/girls except the bartender. Although I did not stay any longer, it looks like Trey is keeping up the good work done by Jay, the previous manager.

Wings were phenomenal but the service wasn’t that great. The bartender and a customer got into while we saw the whole thing go down I think the bartender could have handle the situation better than she did.

Very chic bar with Jamaica influences and design. The food is good and the drinks are reasonable. It's two locations and they have events like karaoke night.

I got a beef patty and a chicken patty and coco bread to go. I walked home in the cold so the food wasn't warm when I got back so I can't judge temperature but the food was otherwise good. Tastes just like the only other time I had Jamaican patties and coco bread (which was in London). My review is based on this. They provided a pretty spicy jerk sauce with it, which helped add some flavor. I've heard someone say it was bland (the chicken more than the beef, perhaps) but I don't think it was any different than the other time I had it at another place. So, again, I can only judge on my experience. It seemed nice enough inside. This is more bar than restaurant, with a small stage for live music, and a decent amount of tables. The place seems to appeal to a variety of people do I don't think you'll feel out of place no matter who you are. I've also read reviews about bad customer service or unnecessary long wait times when it was not busy. They didn't take long to prepare my food and they seemed nice enough so I don't know where that came from. I went there at 6pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy.
