Pizza Margarita is excellent and price is good. I recommend this place for pizza. They also deliver, fast and professional.
No longer BYOB. Dock 1 star for that plus the fact that our waitress was very rude about it when we showed up with wine - sorry we didn't get the memo! She was also giving me skeptical looks about my request for no cheese on anything, mild dairy intolerance over here.... thanks. I'm chalking that one up to an off night, because we come here a decent amount and usually service is great.
Otherwise, this is still an awesome place for Italian. I'm partial to the pizza and appetizers. Haven't experimented with much the entrees but I'm sure they are yummy as well. Seating wise, it can be crowded on the weekends, so make a reservation if you are coming during prime hours. There isn't really a good waiting area if you are a walk-in.
Cozy, warm ambience. I went to this pizza joint because it is right around the corner and Chicago is about supporting community businesses, and they didn't disappoint. It was only carryout but the service was fast and with a smile, and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. Enjoyed the old world decor, too... Will be back to dine in as its more a place for experiencing the atmosphere...
Excellent staff and great atmosphere. They have the best Neapolitan pizza in the city by far with sauce that's the stuff of dreams. Every dish I've ever had here has been perfectly prepared, and I've been to Antica countless times. Certainly Andersonville's hidden gem, if not Chicago's.
This place is amazing- I asked for no mushrooms in my risotto and they told me they couldn't do it, so I just went 'eh no big deal, I'll just pick them out' and these amazing people put the sauce on the side for me. The food is AMAZING, and their customer service is top notch. I will definitely be making this place a regular ordering spot- and you should too!
Love visiting Mario and his staff. Food is amazing, salads are big enough for 2 to share. My partner and I go about twice a month and we still find new items on the menu to try.
My favorite Italian restaurant in Chicago (I live across the street). Excellent pizza, risotto and pasta. Mario (the chef-owner) and his staff will make you feel like family.
I love Mario ( chef and owner) and I'm in love with their food. My favorite is Insalata di Polipo ( octopuses with oil and olives). Their fresh baked bread is also amazing! Not to mention their wine menu. Definitely recommend this place!!! I' in love with this place!!!
Perfect amount of food for two people if you get an app or salad and a pizza. Not overly full, but not left wanting either. I just wish they were BYOB, then it'd be an ideal neighborhood pizza place.
Excellent Southern Italian food! Best risotto we've ever had! Decor is casual and comfortable. Service is kind.
Great pizza, pasta, and good service! Disappointed that they're not BYOB anymore. I loved bringing special bottles to have with their killer pizza.
Just moved to the area and glad this was my first Italian delivery. Good was excellent. Had the Marherita pizza which brought me back to Rome. Had the Finnoglio said which was basic but fresh and crisp. Going to dine in next time but great food and reasonable prices. Buon appetito.
Ordered to pick up margherita, sausage and mushroom, and ham. Coming from ny with high pizza standards, this was delicious! Classic style Italian pizza.
I stumbled across this place tonight. Great pizza. Reminds me of a long ago trip to Italy. I give the pizza 11 out of 10. I'll be back.
We come here for every special occasion! By far the best Italian food, I've ever had. We love love love this place!
Favorite pizza place, everything is spot on, pasta is made in house and their seafood dishes are spectacular :)
Decently priced. Not a BYOB establishment anymore. Octopus and pizza were good.
