Beautiful sea themed spacious restaurant with very kind and attentive staff, but the food was sooooo delicious!!! It's definitely my new favorite place to go, and I can't wait to go back! ❤️
Top mexican seafood restaurant! Quality products, huge variety of dishes and open bar. In my opinion, the best Mango Michelada in town.
Photos below are:
- Mango Michelada & Piña Colada
- Empanadas de camarón
- Fried Mojarra
- Langostinos platter
Enjoy!
I bought my best friend here so she can enjoy some great live music, drinks, and some awesome seafood dishes. This restaurant has always given me great service and the quantity of food is well worth my money
Enjoyed La Palapa food was good and waitstaff was very attentive. The Margaritas were good but I would opt for an extra shot of Tequila on my next trip. This was my first time there and I’ll definitely go back. Ordered calamari and it was fried a bit hard. Next time I’ll request lightly fried. The paella was tasty with lots of seafood bites. The restaurant is large and plenty of street parking. I would love to visit there during the summer, great outdoor dining. If you are looking Seafood Mexican definitely give them a try. There is no BYOB, large sign posted on the door.
I've been here twice now and oh my lord they have the best crab legs I've ever had in my life! Pricey but it's worth every penny I will start going here as much as possible your food and restaurant is both outstanding. My only negative I got the shrimp with rice last time and the shrimp had too much seasoning 1st time was perfect. I will be there this weekend:)
You know when you find THE seafood spot and then go nowhere else for years… well this marks a new beginning of customer loyalty for me at La Palapa. You don’t only get good food, but the location, and aesthetic of the place is very well thought out for an overall great experience. ¡Bravo!
The crab legs and margaritas were excellent! Atmosphere was awesome. We ate outside and we really enjoyed it. Little disappointed with our Server. I'll attribute it to it being busy. I will definitely go again!!
Delicious food and great service. This place offers a variety of mexican dishes with a twist. They served fish ceviche and jalapeños dip with tortillas on the house. Crab legs are market price. Loud mexican music plays in the indoor-outdoor dining area. Th3 music drowns out the busy street nearby. Beautiful beach vibe and decor throughout. They offer a lot of seafood dishes, too. Overall, this was a nice dining experience.
This is my first visit here and what can I say....it was fun! Live music tableside is you want....great service and the food is awesome! They have a housemade hot sauce that is great!
The atmosphere was nice, clean and cozy. The food was ok. It's really ideal to enjoy time with friends or family as a group.
The BYOB is definitely an over charge if it's only two people, but worth it if it's over 6 people.
This is a great place to eat Mexican seafood. There is always a crowd that lets you people are willing to wait. I wish they have a bigger parking. The empanadas de cameron are good a appetizer. The shrimp in aguachile was not spicy at all. I do not know if is becuase we ordered them black peppered. I enjoyed the mariscada which is great for a two and i think it is more economical. I would come again.
I was invited to dinner at La Palapa for a birthday celebration, I know that this is a seafood restaurant and I'm not a seafood person, so I had the Carne asada. It was fantastic, so glad I went.
This is my favorite spot for some Mexican seafood. Great service and a great variety on the menu. The place looks amazing after the remodel! Highly recommend the Shrimp Cocktail and the shrimp empanadas. The portions are generous and food is delicious!
For a Sunday afternoon at 3PM, I was nervous we'd have a long wait, but we were surprisingly seated quickly. We sat in the patio, brought our own alcoholic beverage, and ordered tiritas de pescado as an appetizer, camarones estilo la palapa, and a small charola de langostinos. The food was great, spicy, and the right amount of seasoning.
It wasn't a five star experience because our server was not very communicative with us and did take a bit to service us. The appetizer was brought along with the food, but it wasn't what we had ordered. We returned it and was later brought back when we were halfway done with our food. Our miche mix took about 10 minutes to get to us while our beer warmed up, pollen from the patio roof was flying all over our food, and our check had an increased price for an item we had ordered.
On the contrary, the manager was very attentive and made sure tables were cleaned to seat parties quickly. For our first time, it was a decent experience. We will return for the food and the outdoor space.
You need to try our the shrimp cocktail, rompe colchon and oysters. The drinks are on point and service is amazing
The food was good. We order Charola de mariscos for 2 people the waitress said there was a little of everything, there was a fair amount of octopus and shrimp but they just threw in 2 muscles and 2 langostinos I was a little disappointed about that. The shrimp enpanadas were delicious and spicy. I remember to take the pictures after we started eating 🤦♀️
