I'm not from Chicago, I was out for a walk and stumbled upon this place. It reminded me of a classic Italian eatery from the movies. The stuffed cheese sticks weren't cheese sticks,
They were cheese logs! HUGE... and the marinara sauce with them was incredible. The stuffed shells with vodka sauce
Saw a clip on IG about Palermo's of 63rd, figured we'd stop in the next time we were in the city.
Definitely worth the 45 minute ride from the MCACN show!
Classic styling building, neat family photos of the owners history on the walls, and great atmosphere.
Figured we would sample a few items, and i
Typical old school neighborhood pizza place with exceptional pizza. The sauce was amazing. Perfect combo of ingredients and cooked just right. Possibly the best pizza I have ever had.
Tried Palermo's for the first time after reading positive reviews. Ordered several pizzas with different crusts and toppings. As others have mentioned, the sauce is definitely on the sweet side, but still good. We went with one paper thin and one regular thin crust. Neither are as thin as tavern sty
Best pizza in Chicago and anywhere else I've ever been. The reviews calling the sauce watered down, or it's too sweet. They don't know good pizza.. I've been going here my entire life until I moved out of state.. I still go out of my way every time I'm back to get a pizza. Oh, and FYI, you're deal
Amazing food and fantastic service! If you are in Chicago I would highly recommend you dropping buy! Will be going again on my next visit. Pizza bread appetizer melts in the mouth, chicken Alfredo is simply devine, service is second to none, our server was friendly and helpful without being in your
We came here after the original restaurant we wanted to eat at was full and didnt wanna go to some tourist trap downtown. You know you've struck gold when you find an old Italian restaurant owned by the same guy since its inception decades ago and he comes out and greets his patrions, thick accent a
Been eating here all 23 years living here! Best pizza hands down. 95th Palermo's is good for a date night but 63rd is for the aesthetic and vibes. Can't beat this place. You're a fool if you skip Palermo's for pop n pizza or Monica's. You don't know nothing about a good pizza until you come here. Be
The classic. Can't beat. I only ever get their takeout pizza, but I've been eating it since I was a toddler and it's been the exact same for 30 years. I don't even live in Chicago anymore but I always pick one up when I'm on my way through.
There are glitzy resteraunts in the world. This place is like going to grampas house . Where Frank is a master and humble. He just does what he does. If you want a craft cocktail. Go somewhere else. You want glamorous surroundings, you have options. If you want the very best pizza you will ever tast
I just wanted to thank You for another delicious Pizza! We've been eating Palermos Pizza ๐ since the 1970's always very good. Thank you for the consistency of your product.
The best lobster ravioli I have ever had in my life. This is by far the best traditional pizza I have ever eaten. I had to go to Chicago to get it. The owner should open up a spot in Houston.
Old School Chicago Pizzeria down the street from us, always get a XL thin crust, and itโs always perfect. Love the sauce and crust! Deff highly recommend this long running staple of the South Side!
Some of the best pizza in chicago! Great pizza and a fantastic sweet sauce that they are known for. Even better, great service as well!
The restaurant has a 60s vibe that has stayed along since it's inception but the owner is such a kind person and everyone working treats you like family. The pizza has a crispy crust with a sweet sauce. Some might not prefer sweet sauce but I do and it was great!
