This place is incredible. Everything is fresh. Juices are amazing. They make their own chicken-fried steak. Their hash is fantastic. Sandra, the owner, is wonderful.

Bottom line: Delicious food. Reasonable prices. No reason not to wander into this hidden gem. Very unassuming from the outside, but the restaurant serves up dishes bursting with flavor. There wasn't a weak point on the menu and I look forward to trying many more.

This was my first time here, they did not disappoint. Walking in, it’s very small but cozy and welcoming. Service was fast! And the ticket times were crazy fast as well. I stopped a server to chat, I found out this is a family owned restaurant, and all the members there were family. They all were so nice. We were able to try a sample of two of their smoothies and they were out of this world!! If you get a chance to go, go!

After having lived in the central area of Mexico for 10 years and eating out almost every day, we came back to Chicago and were not too happy with the quality of Mexican food and restaurants here. Today we visited Tiztal Cafe and were pleasantly surprised with the flavors and choices of food. The chilaquiles were as close as you can get to a Mexican home cooked meal and the milkshakes and smoothies reminded us of the ones I had in Mexico. We will be visiting Tiztal cafe as often as possible, it sure brought memories back of some of our favorite places in Mexico. Well done!

The hype over the Chilaquiles is real. This little Cafe is amazing. The service is top notch, and the food is delicious. Price is a bit high, $75 for two including tip, but worth it. The salsa Verde was tangy and done perfectly. The house made chip were light and crispy. The chorizo was flavorful, but not greasy like it is elsewhere. The Mexican Hot chocolate was perfect. We got a Smoothie and Oatmeal shake to go... it is what they started on... and they were very good. Highly recommend. On Sunday at 10am, we experienced less than a 30 min wait.

The service is always great: fast and friendly. The chilaquiles are my favorite in town. Trust me, I grew up in Mexico City and the people at Tiztal know what they’re doing. The place is small and they don’t take reservations. So there is usually a wait. They will take your number and call you when your table is ready!

Service is so quick and friendly, but honestly I would come here even if wait staff spit on the food in front of you. The food is so good! Authentic chilaquiles. The oatmeal shakes are creamy, fresh, and delicious. Every so often, I go through a Tiztal phase where I order breakfast from here like 5 days in a row. When my friends visit Chicago, I also recommend this place.

Small cozy diner with home cooked meals. Their shakes are delicious and made with fresh fruit. With the weather change my biggest suggestion is to get yourself a hot chocolate, takes a little while to make ; it's made to order. But well worth it! Food portions are generous, and I usually always have a little bit extra to take home.
