Shiawase Japanese Restaurant - Chicago - Photo album

I've eaten here on a number of occasions and the food and service is really good. It's been a long time since I've eaten here and I like the fact the owner still remembers that I like extra tofu in my miso soup. The fried calamari was nice and tender on the inside and crispy on the out. Sushi roll a
Nice and cozy restaurant, with a friendly staff. The food tasted nice, however I wish they had more options within each category of food (for example ramen with vegetarian broth) even though they have a variety of types of food.
I love Shiawase! Love the staff, space and the foods ( of course) . They serve a great quality of fish . Please be sure to try seafood ramen , they made their own broth. Also the robata is such a good choice for appetizer. And the best thing is BYOB
Amazing food and chill atmosphere. Kind, helpful staff. The green tea ice cream is awesome!
BYOB sushi restaurant. Good food and great value. Definitely a place to recommend.
I never review restaurants but have to make an exception for this place! I've eaten at many of the sushi hotspots in the area, but Shiawase has become a quick favorite. The place is tasteful, the staff is wonderful, and the food is awesome. Portions have always been good; even the presentation is ex
My girlfriend described it as "small but charming little price of Japanese heaven in the heard of Lakeview". We liked this place. It was cozy and the service was attentive. It is BYOB. The sushi is really delicious. I was surprised with how flavourful even their basic making rolls were. We're going
This is a great little sushi place with ample menu options and good quality fish. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful when we asked for recommendations. With no wait and fair prices, this is a nice option to have for a low-key dinner out.
Best kept secret in Lakeview! Very fresh sushi, great selection of rolls, and the starters are wonderful. Definitely get the spicy gyozas (veggie and chicken, not pork). Surprisingly no wait given the quality ... and definitely better than the packed sushi restaurant down the street.
A cute byob sushi spot. Perfect for a small group. Try the sashimi boat, but I'd recommend to ask for no super white tuna and extra of whatever else you like best. They were so sweet about it. Super white tuna doesn't agree with many people I've spoken to. Loved it!
