The Brass Monkey - Chicago - Photo album

If I were judging based on food and beverage alone, this would be a 5 star review without a doubt. The Sloppy Sliders, Meatballs, and Fish Styx are all incredible and flavorful and pairing the three together to split between two is a great 'appetizer as dinner' option. What wasn't impressive was the
Outstanding atmosphere with great drinks, food & service. I went to check out the Brass Monkey mostly to see how their bar holds up (even though they're not in the Chicago Bar Bracket), and was not disappointed with a wide range of custom craft cocktails, plus a couple of classic 70's throwbacks li
Mediocre, the potato cakes were delicious and the drinks were strong, but that's all The Brass Monkey had going for it. The TV Dinner tasted exactly what you would expect from a TV dinner, not elevated in the least. Service was poor on a slow night. The theme was trying too hard.
Event-driven space with excellent craft cocktails and gourmet food. Sometimes supplies catering to sister/neighbor venue, Morgan MFG. Cool 70's feel including a Vinyl Room and red velvet downstairs bathroom area.
The best service! Top notch drinks! Amazing food! I'd give 15 stars but it only goes up to 5! I'll definitely be back!
Food was pretty good and they have a great bar. It was too pretentious, and the prices were too high. Not a top recommendation, but it's not terrible either.
Wasn't impressed. Food was over done and over priced. I know restaurants are dimly lit, but this place was just dark.
