Great gem in Albany Park. I tried the Ravenswood spot a fews ago, and flavors of the food were popping and ambiance of the place was fantastic. Since it was closed this weekend I tried this location and did not disappoint. The good thing here is they have drinks and theyre on point as well. Happy yo see consistency between both places and to find both of these spots close to home.

With today's fast pace and the fact that most people who provide any type of service have more work than they can handle, good service may be considered a rare treat. With that said, I want you to know how much we along with our friends that we brought with us enjoyed our dining experience at Rojo gusano on Lawrence. From the food, to the mezcal tasting and desert, overall amazing food and service. The owner Rafael and son Luis who were serving us were knowledgeable and welcoming. I won't hesitate to recommend your restaurant to family and friends. Belinda & Salvador Vasquez

I am so excited to find this restaurant in the neighborhood. This is the best vegetarian Mexican food I have had for the price (maybe for any price). It is very clear that a lot of thought and love goes into the preparation of each dish. Instead of the usual offerings for vegetarians- beans, rice, cheese, maybe some veggie fajitas- the chef prepared amazingly seasoned dishes with distinct flavors. My meat eating compatriots were also very happy with the food. The service was excellent and the music (non-live) accommodates conversation. I can't wait to go again.

Everything we had was amazing! Appetizers, tacos, sides, drinks, desert.....yes please!! I liked that portions are small and the prices are great so you can try a few different things which is what we did. Service was fantastic and staff was very friendly. There was live music but it was'nt loud and did'nt drown out conversation. Well done Rojo Gusano, well done! Will be back.

We just had a very tasty dinner & delicious pitcher of Paloma! Thank you! Yes, the tacos are smaller, but that means you get to tour the taste sensation offered in the menu! The guacamole with spicy pumpkin seeds & mango was a fresh delight, the homemade blue corn tortillas made for a delicious vessel for all the taco fillings. I’ve been a few times & will return! Thank you, Rojo Gusano!!

Truly Exceptional tacos, this place stands as a favorite for my wife and I. It has a very warm atmosphere. The drinks were excellent, as was the food, in addition to the knowledgeable staff. Glad to see they are doing well during these trying times. A must try for the Albany park area.

I tried the Korean BBQ taco 🌮. It was delicious and very filling. The Paloma drink was a little light on tequila but very tasty overall. The view is excellent, the wind breeze is great. They follow social distancing rules. 👍👍

Great tacos and cocktails. Ceviche was fantastic and fresh. Portion sizes we're perfect--they don't skimp on the meat! Definitely recommend the Korean BBQ 🌮

Solid cocktails. Love the tacos. The homemade tortillas are the best. Update: Went back for dinner, after a long pause, and the food is still as good as before. The menu has changed a bit, but for the better. The tortilla soup was filling and delicious. The Pappas Gratinas were a cheesy delight. I also got two tacos, but was so full I couldn't finish them.

Great customer service, drinks were a little overpriced, but the food was amazing. The menu is limited for indoor dining, so call before you go. Definitely get the mango margarita wasn’t on the menu, but it was good. They have different flavors.
