I've been a regular for many years now, last year was a bit inconsistent, but I have to say El Solazo came back stronger. I always make it a point to bring my family visiting from Mexico and/or out-of-state. Needless to say, they have all enjoyed it very much, and always ask me to take them back before they leave. Keep up the good work, Pepe!

My friends took me here because my regular spots have been disappointing me, assuring that you all wouldn't. And you didn't! That was the best burrito I've ever had!

The tacos are very good very generous amount of the meat and garnished with fresh herbs, vegetables and cheese, etc. The place was small but well worth the wait!!!. It was very clean and the service was great. Byob was a plus! I'm definitely going back!

From the Asada tacos to the enchiladas this is the best Mexican food I have ever had. I hope they add Huaraches to the menu one day!

Long time customer. Even before the fire. Finally had the opportunity to try the new menu. It’s not your typical Mexican restaurant. Instead it’s more of an experience. The service is great and the menu is small but the limited menu gives the chefs time to pay more attention to what they are sending out. Excellent salsas, great food presentation and tasty cocktails. Definitely makes it standout from the rest of the neighborhood restaurants. It’s on the pricier side and that’s the only reason I am giving it 4 stars. For what’s around you can get more but you will not get the experience that Solazo provides. Go try it out for yourself and make sure to have a reservation.

My husband and I have been wanting to come back to Solazo since they re-opened. We went for our anniversary dinner and we were blown away. We made reservations online, arrived a few minutes before and were seated immediately. The host explained the menu and our server came shortly after. Alondra explained everything beautifully, she made sure we were taken care of throughout our meal. The food was phenomenal! The salsas were perfect and complimented each other, the guacamole was different and tasty, the tacos were AMAZING, they came out in pairs as we finished each and the dessert was delicious. The complimentary champagne for our anniversary was the cherry on top. We ended up asking for our entree to go because we were just too full and they packed it for us before it even came out. All in all one of the best dining experiences that we have had in a long time and my husband and I travel all over the place for a good meal and good experience. I feel lucky to have a wonderful place like Solazo back in our neighborhood.

The strawberry guacamole was very tasty and I was pleasantly surprised by the shrimp tacos. Their cocktails were also great. Overall it was a nice spot to celebrate a birthday dinner. Will be back.

Amazing food and love the new concept/decor of the restaurant. Price is worth it. It's time we think Mexican food can also be gourmet and elevated. Definitely worth the money and ambiance. If you know good food than this place is for you. Just excited we have a good spot in the southwest side offering this and not the same thing everyone offers in every corner.

Very nice restaurant in west elsdon. Quality food, home made tortillas, nice drink selection. The chocolate tres leches cake was amazing. Service is a little slow. Prices are a little on the high side but worth it

Listen - if you expect the same Solazo from the past move on. If you're gonna be cheap and gripe about the cost of their menu items, continue south on Pulaski and hit up one of the 50 taquerias along the path. I appreciate what they are trying to do here on the Southwest side. Ownership is trying to establish a nice restaurant experience in an area where options are limited for high quality food. It's a great date night spot for sure with a full bar. Came here with the P's, wifey last night and we had a great meal! Of course I wanted to try everything on the menu but we started with their Guac and Ceviche. The Guac had Pico de tomatillo, roasted habanero, pomegranate, queso fresco and I'll tell ya that Pomegranate gave the Guac a unique good taste. For the ceviche, we did a combo of Baja california striped bass and Tiger shrimp. It included with Chile piquín, onion, tomato, cucumber, avocado, cilantro. I preferred the shrimp Over the bass but nonetheless, it was amazing. We also wanted to try the 3 Salsas which were Molcajete (Good), Guisada (my fav = Grilled jalapeño, onion, garlic) and Pina con Habanero (meh). I ordered the Enchiladas con Asada with Salsa Verde topped with Sour Cream. Wow it was delicious (note - the tortillas are homemade) but ... the salsa verde was too salty. My dad had the Mole and that wasn't salty and did taste amazing. The service was super attentive and I'd suggest to make a reservation. You can also pay via Toast. Parking is kinda limited but you should find something along Pulaski or west of Pulaski. Overall I hope they keep doing what their doing and work the area for additional business including those landing at Midway Airport and the surrounding hotels.
