$.10 wings on Mondays!. You know there are plenty of daily food specials at bars around Chicago but this one is amazing. For any place to sell $.10 wings is a gift. But don't match the price with the quality, these wings are good. They have four different flavors mild, hot, chipotle, and bbq. I recommend the mild and chipotle, they really nailed it with these sauces.

The location is perfect, right off the L. The atmosphere is pretty cool, nothing to go crazy about but is better than "the usual bar." The service is great, our waitress was super busy but still managed to be really courteous and quick with our orders.

A little precaution; if you go here for the Monday wing night expect this place to packed. I went during a Bulls game so it was really tough to find a seat. Best bet is to come early and have a beer before you dig into these wings.

The rail is on track!. This place is great for some good food and beer. Great place to bring friends or even go it alone for daily dinner specials. Summer time has out door seating but plenty of indoor space.

Rail-ly Nice. Think about it -- it's sometime on a lazy summer Sunday afternoon, you're covered with dirt because you're a competitive softball player and you've just dived all over the infield, you're damp from biking all over, your friends are the same way, and you're just looking to quench your thirst and fix those hunger pangs.

The Rail is the kinda bar for that kinda day.

There's nothing special about this place except for its specials; the food is of decent bar quality and I do appreciate the over 20 or so good brews on draft. Recently, they added a selection of Belgian ales, which is very impressive this side of Hopleaf. We usually get a comfortable enough space in the backroom where we get to watch all the Cubs we want, and really haven't had much to complain about the service (maybe knowing the owner helps?).

I like the Guinness-battered onion rings, the steak tacos are really tasty, the wings are crispy and flavourful, the nachos are a heap of fun. I'm not sure if I would agree that it's overpriced -- after the check arrives and we wade through the bills piled on the table, we always end up with plenty left over for tip... maybe the trick (and I don't mean the magician who comes around) is to have good friends!

By the way, that magician is pretty entertaining -- unless your idea of entertaining is Chads and Trixies in Lincoln Park spilling beer on your flip flops. He once got a fin from us, wrote one of our names on it, did something, sliced open a kiwi, and there was the bill all folded up, with "Ken" in the corner. Who needs to watch "The Illusionist?"
