Our waiter was amazing as usual. As someone who has to eat gluten free it is pure joy to go somewhere that has so many gluten free choices.
Ordering without having to change anything is so much more enjoyable. As always the food was delicious & hot when served. Can't wait to go back.
My boyfriend had the Carnitas quesadilla served with the black beans it was excellent he drank a coconut citrus cooler with it which was very refreshing. I had the university paleo breakfast very simple but good flavors and we tried the flight of mimosas. We didn't care for the kale mimosa but the other three were fantastic The Waitresses were all nice. We will be returning. I posted a picture of our food in the group Chico Foodies on Facebook.

Sin of Cortez is our favorite breakfast place in Chico. Their coffees and iced tea are fantastic. My husband gets their mocha, and I get the cappuccino breve. Their pancakes are amazing (though I wasn't overly impressed with the cornmeal pancake). Their scrambles are generous and perfectly seasoned. Friends who have had their chips and salsa say they are the best they ever had. They make their own bread which in my mind sets them apart from other places...AND...their homemade bread is super delicious. My husband ALWAYS gets the BLT, and my favorites include the Avocado Scramble and the Nirvana...oh, and I did I mention the pancakes??? A must! The only improvement I would suggest for Sin of Cotez is to make their French toast with the bread they bake. We are French Toast fans and don't care for their version which uses French bread. Suggestion for the chef: Let the bread slightly soak in the egg mixture and then cook through, maybe even let the customer choose which bread. Since you guys have so much fresh fruit, you could offer toppings for the French Bread (like Bananas Foster, Strawberries and Cream, etc.)
If you live in Chico and have not yet gone to Sin of Cortez, what are you waiting for? If you are visiting, consider it a tourist attraction. You WILL be back!
Some of the best gluten free pancakes I've had. Scrambles are also dynamite. One of my favorite places in Chico.
A completely Sin Full breakfast! Service was outstanding, I had the French Toast it was almost more than I could eat. The fruit purée's were wonderful. I here on the weekends there is a line to get in but worth the wait.
Their breakfasts are amazing, I highly recommend trying their pancakes.
An enjoyable experience. My party and I had an enjoyable experience here. Their mocha was excellent: a strong chocolate flavor and an assertive espresso flavor. I ordered their zen breakfast and an all berry pancake. The pancake was exceptional! Very few restaurants can successfully cook pancakes with fresh berries in them, but this place does it well!!!! Highly recommend!
One of the best coffee houses in Chico. The banana blackberry pancakes are amazing. Get there early for the best service and to avoid the crowds.
Love it.. I've been there at least 15 times now for breakfast. I haven't yet made it for lunch but I will. The breakfast options are good and the food quality is outstanding from the cornmeal pancakes, the berry pancakes and the wonderful french toast. I even tried the muslix and it was worth ordering again. Try any expresso drink, you'll be glad you did. I like the staff and service - quick and on top of things. A favorite for me.
