This place has been right across the street from me for years, and I didn’t even realize it! What a true hidden gem....I’m a bit of a Benedict snob you could say, and I ordered the avocado/tomato Benny... I was incredibly impressed. Great service, amazing food... cooked perfectly, looked so pretty I almost felt bad destroying it. Anyways, this place is great, and I will definitely be back.
The corned beef hash is to die for, everything is to die for
I grew up in Chico, but no longer live here. I was in town visiting family, and they had some friends from the Bay Area come up, so we all decided to eat at The Roost.
The staff were very friendly, and the food was amazing. When it came time to pay the bill. I went inside and happened to meet the owner. We got to talking and had a great conversation. I highly recommend The Roost for a fantastic breakfast and quality service!
I had the best Mother's Day Brunch here today. The food was excellent and the service was phenomenal.

Some of the best breakfast I've had in Chico. Love the friendly staff and the attention to detail
I always enjoyed having breakfast with my husband here at The Roost Cafe, homemade style and coffee is a plus. Very welcoming service and food is always great & reasonable price.

We came to visit my daughter in Chico. She recommended that we eat here. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was cooked perfect. Also fun pancake and waffle choices. The kids ordered the pumpkin waffle and the apple walnut pancakes. They were both huge and delicious! Great family friendly atmosphere. Would love to go again.
Great food, great service. I take all out-of-town visitors here for breakfast at least once during their stay.
Good food. HUGE portions! I haven’t had a good old fashioned breakfast like this since leaving Alabama
Great lil place for breakfast. Chicken Codon Bleu omelette with the potato pancake!
My first time there. . But definitely not the last. Food is amazing! We sat at the counter, but tables are also available . Friendly servers 😊🍽
It's time at the roost, we had the johnny cake and asparagus specials. Yummy foot but even better awesome friendly service even with being very busy
My plate was made to perfection. I had the chicken fried steak with spinach and a biscuit. Not pictured is a cold glass of orange juice. Other people in my party had some issues with their orders not coming to the table correctly. Place looks new and is nice and clean. Staff was friendly.
I love this place! The new location is amazing. It's more spacious and the seating is nice with wood flooring. The food is excellent as always. I've had both the Irish Benedict with corned beef hash and it was perfectly poached with a ton of flavor. I've recently had the country scramble bowl. It's perfectly balanced with sausage gravy, veggies such as mushrooms, onions, and bell pepper, and home fries.
A friendly breakfast place with a great menu with traditional treats that are hard to find elsewhere like potato pancakes, or freshly made corned beef hash.
One of the best breakfast I've had in a long time. It was the first time coming here and the service was excellent. The food was amazing. I have never been a huge fan of Eggs Benedict, but I saw that they had something called an Irish Benedict where they made their own corned beef hash. I'm glad I tried it, will be coming back a lot.
There isn't a ton of seating, but there is indoor and outdoor. Parking is also limited.
The new cafe is gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. All home scratch cooking and real butter. Their eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy are the best in town. Extensive menu, tons of choices, great prices, fantastic service
Huge portions, home made food, super friendly service
