Birthday party of 10, food was great, tried the Nacho Wontons for an appetizer with dipping Surachi sauce def recommend, drinks were refilled promptly and it was a “new waitress” Emma who did an excellent job, more than enough food to bring home, we will definitely be back!

We've never been to Castaways before, but we thought we'd give it a try. We started with The Castaway Platter which was several different appetizers and dipping sauce, We also tried the Artichoke Dip. They were all very good.i had the Cuban with homemade chips, one of the others had GFS with waffle fries, the others had the Patty Melt, Cheesy Italian Beef with tatertots, and 1 other sandwich. They were all good and we left stuffed! The waitress was a hoot and stayed on top of things. It was worth the 30 minute drive.

One of my favorite salads is to be had here. Grilled chicken with their honey jalenpeno dressing.. soo good!! Son loved his burger with bacon. Pepperjack cheese balls are soo good here too. Drinks are good and very reasonable. Dining area is smaller now with gaming in the back. Was raining or we would have sat outside. Last year they switched to foam take out containers I assumed for covid. They still have them as of June ‘22. It makes it pretty inconvenient to eat with both to cut a salad or be able to eat in the table with others and lids are flapping into their food so we had to improvise and place the bottom of theirs in the lid of ours. All silverware is plastic plastic well still. Minor details just not ideal to dine in with. Enjoy going and plan to be back.

Can't wait to go back. Beer is ice cold and food was fantastic. Get the wings! They are renowned for them.

It was okay They were shorthanded only one server. The haystack onions were very good. The bone less chicken wings were mainly batter, there was very little chicken inside all that batter. When I pointed this out to the server, she kind of brushed off my comment, rudely.

Castaways give off a little bit of a drive bar atmosphere but it is clean and decorated for the beach. There are a number of items hanging in the rafters and on the wall that bring Margaritville to Chillicothe. We tried only the appetizer menu. Our first stop had us ordering a sampler basket with cheesy cauliflower bites, fried green beans, mini tacos, and fried pickle chips. All were good, but the pickle chips were the winner - salty, very lightly breaded, fried, and served with ranch dressing for dipping. We also ordered 1/2 dozen boneless wings with one of their fantastic list of suacues. We choose salted caramel jalapeño - a strange combination that was delicious (I love hot and sweet together). Our second trip we tried PBJ and hot garlic parmesan. Both were very good. The hot garlic parmesan is spicy and tangy. The PBJ was a peanut butter lovers delight - buttery, sweet with peanut pieces. The service was very friendly and fast. Everything was served directly from the kitchen hot and ready. I'd like to try some of their sandwiches, but I can't get past all of the sauce combinations for the wings. We'll return for sure.
