Visited for the first time yesterday. It is not a full service restaurant and you know that when you walk in. That doesn't bother me in the least. Found the owner to be very friendly and personable. The food was wonderful! Large portions on their plate selections. Had to get a to go box because I couldn't possibly finish it all. Yes you get your own drinks but unlimited refills are no charge. Tried all of the homemade BBQ sauces and bought some to bring home. Love the decor and the oldies music. Loud enough to enjoy and low enough to be able to converse at your table without having to yell. Loved this place and will definitely go again when I'm in the area!

Big Dogs handled an all day event with over 425 people. They came with amazing food, friendly servers and thoughtful extras like vases of flowers and cool table arrangements. They went over and above my expectations and were within our price point all day! Highly recommend. In fact, I've been telling everyone already that I will use them again. Just need the next event to roll around!

I used Big Dogs for my daughter's barn wedding in October. They were fabulous. Cheryl is an absolute dream to work with. She's been doing this long enough and was full a great advise on things she has seen that did and didn't work. I'm so thankful I found her. Of all the things I had to worry with that day, the catering wasn't one of them. They came in, set up, bussed tables, bagged up the trash, loaded up and was gone with no muss, no fuss. They also bartended for me. One stop shopping made my life easier. They are extremely reasonable and very accommodating! Everyone commented on how good the food was. Loved working with you Cheryl. Best wishes, Julie Snyder-Bristol

This place is outstanding. I rode up from the south side of Indianapolis to try it out after hearing how good it was and it was absolutely worth the trip. I will be back. Outstanding food and people!!!!

The pulled pork, potato salad, and baked beans were all very good. The Mac and cheese was a bit dry but the atmosphere and service were wonderful. Loved the music.

Born & raised in Indiana, I've been living in Florida since 2009. I'm up here visiting and my friend and I were driving through Cicero and stumbled upon this magical gem of a restaurant. Every single thing about this place is simply amazing. I really hope to experience this again on my next visit!

Small town and home cooked BBQ joint. Awesome decor, friendly staff, and fun place to eat. The building is really neat and all the different decor makes the place feel like I take a blast though time ! So you go to a BBQ join to eat. Portion size were large on meat. Nothing special with the bun. BBQ sauces excellent. Really wish I would have gotten dessert looked amazing. Smoke on the meat was perfect, very tender brisket! I am all about supporting local business so I’m going to land a 5 star. This place is no big Hoffa, but it’s very way better than Squeelers. Will be back!

This is probably my favorite bbq joint I've ever been too. Not only is the food amazing but the decor is awesome. Vintage and rustic. I absolutely fell in love with this place. I will definitely make the 2 hour drive to comeback and eat here again. Strongly recommend eating here.

The brisket melt was the best. Tender brisket with cheese and jalapeño melt your mouth. Baked beans and potato salad added to make the most excellent dinner. Also had the smoked sausage with Mac and cheese . Support your small local business, these guys deserve your support.

Love the atmosphere and decor. Lots to talk about while eating. This place has the best sliced beef brisket in Indiana and maybe the Midwest, but I haven't tried them all! One of the few places in Indiana I have found that still offers sliced beef brisket! It's very good. Mouthwatering delicious. Loved the hot and regular BBQ house made sauces. It added to the already tremendous flavor! Definitely recommend if in the area.

Very nostalgic bbq restaurant in Cicero, IN. The service was a little off. We ordered at the counter had to seat our selves, got our own drinks. The food was great and filing. The pulled pork platter and brisket platter was very good.

Hands down my favorite BBQ spot in Indiana. No one else compares. Not only is the food good, the staff are really friendly and you can tell they take pride in the business - it's always clean, and the decor is well thought out (real conversation starter pieces, a lot of nostalgia). We love Big Dawgs so much we order it in bulk around Christmas when everything's closed and just eat it for a couple days straight, haha! The butter cake is out of this world, as is the mac and cheese. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delicious food & great service! The atmosphere is just a bonus! Very neat place with vintage decor. The pulled pork and the brisket were delicious! The Mac & cheese melts in your mouth & so does the cornbread! Highly recommend this place. We will be back!

Great barbeque! This is a unique place. I loved the decor. The service was excellent. The pulled pork was moist and it was some of the best pulled pork I've ever had.

Many cool things to say about this unique place. Big Dogs is super quick for lunch. Decorated in Americana and most of it is for sale. Music playing lightly in the background. They have a family movie featured in a marquis sign behind the counter. Today it was the Sand Lot and they get an extra star because they had closed captioning on which should almost be a law for gastropubs. Different wooden kitchen tables and chairs make up the dining room with the walls covered in Antique Coca-Cola and other nostalgic items such as the leg lamp from A Christmas Story. Had the brisket combo with Smokehouse Baked Beans and Chips. Have to order and pay at the counter then they bring it out to you. The server said the chef told him that he put extra brisket on the sandwich...so if my pics don't match your sandwich or if they tell everyone that then you will know.... The server also explained their 3 sauces on the table. Original, Sweet, and Hot. They are all good. The Original had a note of clove and was very good on the brisket as recommended by the server. Was added to the baked beans. Sauces can be purchased in mason jars. They have self serve soda fountain and also offer beer and wine. Only negs: Street parking, was cold in the dining room, large fountain drink is 3.29 but "comes with a Souvenir Cup". Don't make their own chips, do have high quality brand kettle chips served in a bag. Tables are a bit tough to navigate through to get to the bathrooms. Overall a good home town restaurant with nothing chain store about it.

Fantastic experience for my first of many visits. I decided to go off-menu and try their special the Tripple-Dog-Dare. The sandwich consisted of a healthy serving of brisket, pulled pork, and and sausage. Fantastic food, and the staff were very welcoming.

Ate lunch today. Pulled pork with 2 sides and all the sauces. Waitress was more than polite and everything was awesome. Pretty crowded during lunch and now I see why. Tlc Limo

Would give this 6 stars if I could!! People were soooo friendly and helpful since it was our first (but not last) time there. You order/pay at counter and they bring it to your table super fast. We were there on a weekday at dinner hour. Food was yummy, sadly was to busy eating for pictures! Would not share baked beans they were that good 😋. Decor was something right out of American Pickers.

Stopped in on my way through and got a brisket sandwich and Mac n cheese, both were really good. Before I finished I placed an order to go so I could take home to share with my wife. She loved it as well.some of the best brisket I've had.
