This is a wonderful experience. A true gem for our city! We were a party of 9 celebrating the 90th birthday of our train-loving dad! We had basically a private dining experience in the Oasis lounge and he was able to stand on the platform outside with the conductor and honk the horn for the entire first half of the trip! The food was excellent and the staff (we loved everyone but special kudos to Paul who went above and beyond to assure my dad had a fabulous night) and owner( thanks for being so kind and he just loved the hat! ) went out of their way to assure we had an amazing experience! Everyone was so welcoming! Would highly recommend this experience! We all simply loved it!
We had a wonderful time!! Everyone was so friendly and made our trip so special! The food was excellent!! We were able to go to the last train car, stand outside and blow the whistle, which was so neat!! There was singing and it really felt like we were in a different time period! The owner was really fun and interacted with all of the guests. Highly recommend!!
Lovely dinner with our friends (one other couple) aboard the Silver Sword! A bottle of chilled wine was waiting for us at our table, dinner was delicious, staff was courteous and knowledgeable (and seemed genuinely happy). We really did feel like we were stepping back in time to 1949... If you're looking for a dining experience beyond the ordinary, I highly recommend an evening aboard the Cincinnati Dinner Train!
Last evening was a Christmas surprise from my husband and we enjoyed every minute of this adventure. We were fortunate to be in the Milwaukee Dining Car and Brian was our historian for the evening. The staff were wonderful, attentive and engaging. Our meal(prime rib) was prepared perfectly. The only suggestion I would have is to offer a more creative gluten free dessert. We will definitely share this experience and be back in 2018!
Proposed to my GF and the staff and owner made it very special for us and memorable.. We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone..
We had a group of 22 and everyone was extremely happy with the service, atmosphere and food. The servers worked very hard to accommodate everyones needs, what a great memory. Thank you to the entire staff. I have to mention that Vicky made this possible with perfect seating on the New York car.
We had an absolutely lovely evening. The co-owner, wait staff, conductors, workers, and entertainment were all exceptional and they seemed happy to be at work! I also loved the Cincinnati waving people and their story! The food was exceptional, especially considering it was prepared and served on a moving train to hundreds of diners! I also thought the appetizer was a nice touch. It was all really really wonderful, thank you all so much for a great experience!
If you haven't booked your tickets, WELL you definitely should! And if you have then you know, you're planning your next memorable experience .
And owner who is very engaged and whose staff is very accommodating - brought me my dessert first !!
The staff was Amazing and the food was delicious!! I loved how the whole train and the staff stuck to the 1940s theme!!! Great night out!! Definitely put this on your list of nights out :)

This was a great experience! The service was excellent, Brian was great at filling us in on some great pieces of Cincinnati History, the Queen City Sisters were fantastic and the food was delicious. This is definitely something everyone should try.
Such a unique and fun experience! The food was great, and we enjoyed the tour of the area. I highly recommend it!
My family and I had a wonderful dining experience on this train and highly recommend!
I planned this as a date night for my husband and I. We had the absolute best time traveling back in time by train. The waitress was so nice and enjoyed what she was doing. The drinks from the bar were strong which was great! The music on the train was relaxing and mimicked the 1940s era. We dined like kings and queens as the food was superb. My husband had the prime rib medium rare, with chocolate pecan pie for dessert and I had the salmon with the NY style cheese cake. The sides were fantastic and we loved the green beans. The lady singers were amazing and greeted you on the train and then performed in the entertainment car after dinner. The ride was dark so besides city lights and the reflection from the river you couldn't see much but that was totally fine with us. We can't wait to go again!
We had an absolutely amazing experience on the Cincinnati Dinner Train. The food was amazing, we both chose the salmon. The staff and crew were phenomenal! We very much enjoyed learning about the rich history of the Cincinnati railroad. We definitely recommend reserving your trip and we will be back again soon!
I like trains and food, so I thought that this would be a natural, and for the most part, it was. I booked the Silver Sword car and requested a table for 2, which we were seated at next to the bar. I thought that the prime rib was good, as was the accompanying side, salad, and dessert. The service was friendly and very attentive. The only downside, which others have mentioned, was the lack of scenery. There was a guide to point out history and landmarks, but railroad tracks in an urban area tend to be industrial and/or trash collectors. Since the return trip is in the dark, depending on when you go, it's really only a factor on half of the trip.
The dinner train is awesome! It has a 1949 theme, and a dress code. The minimum is business casual, but a lot of people either dress up or dress forties-style. The service is excellent, and everyone is extremely accomodating. The train runs from Paddock Road down to the Ohio River and back, with a sprinkling of history lessons along the way. The food is spectacular. 12/10, will go again.
Surprised my boyfriend with tickets for this evening on the Milwaukee car. We sure had a good time. Our dinner was very good. Service was professional and very efficient. The entertainment was very good. We enjoyed walking through the cars and checking all of them out. Great date night! Thank you, staff for an enjoyable evening.
Great experience. Make sure you dress appropriately! 1940's attire suggested. We'll be back!
This trip was amazing. The wait staff were all super helpful and knowledgeable about the train and the things we passed along the way. The Queen City Sisters were phenomenal! Parking was easy, loading and unloading was done quickly. Food was all perfectly cooked and presented. A definite must for anyone who enjoys trains.
Dine while you ride, MotherDay/Birthday gift…I couldn’t imagine a passenger train that has fine dining in Cincinnati ……Well I soon found out!!!! What a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was awesome and imagine being in that era of time ( especially when some dressed for the occasion)! Food was good, my family of course was great, servers were awesome, the singers 🎶 they song a tune that my mom use to sing 🥰, and the conductor was a joy he kept us laughing… so if you would like the experience book now because the wait is probably 2 months, and yes I’m going again!!
Wonderful experience 💪🏼💪🏼, pleasant staff, great food and atmosphere!! This was our first time and we definitely enjoyed it.. Don’t be late!! They mean what they say 💁🏽♀️🗣🗣 if you are not boarded between the hour of 5pm to 5:45pm you are going to get left!! The train 🚂 takes off exactly at 6pm and stops boarding at 5:45pm… The sister singers had a wonderful voice 💕💕💕 I definitely recommend you checking out the train 💪🏼💪🏼
Absolutely the best experience you can ever have. Add this to your bucket list. Very awesome people. The train is always clean and very nice atmosphere! Love the music. Takes you back to the 50s and 60s The Queen City Sister's make a great concert also. Highly recommended!!!!
After a mix up with gift certificates it was a very enjoyable evening! Everyone was extremely helpful, food was very good (better than we have had in quite a few restaurants lately). Train was clean and comfortable. A color brochure was on every table with info and pictures. Only downside was being able to hear the conductor when he gave his tidbits of info. Overall, definitely something to consider for a fun, different night out!

Great experience. It is a good restaurant on wheels. Pick the car you like best because the best part is the atmosphere in the car. We thought the New York Central car was the best. The food is very good. There is not much scenery. One side has views of the river a little of the time, but the other side only has views of forest and buildings.
We had an amazing time on the dinner train! Lucky, our waitress was incredible and Craig our conductor was so informative! Craig even selected Kalvin to go on the exclusive locomotive tour! The Queen City sisters were great at the end of the ride. Dave was particularly amazing for waiting with us for our Uber. Food was great! Scenery was okay. We will be back!
My mother had never been on a train before and it was one of her biggest dreams other than buying a house. She got both dreams coming true the weekend we went! I took her for her birthday and she was like a little kid. The food was pretty good, reminiscent of cruise line food if you've been on a cruise. The prime rib was cooked well and the sides were good. The desserts were delicious, my mother and husband got the cheesecake and I got the chocolate pecan pie. I would definitely recommend the pie! While the food was good, the train ride experience itself was phenomenal. We got to explore the whole train, including the food cart and speak with the staff which was very cool. The only part you didn't get to explore was the conductor train. There was a little show in the back where the Sisters sang. They did a great job and it really takes you back in time! Then my mom got to blow the train horn which made her do a happy dance that speaks for itself. I definitely suggest anyone interested to book a trip!
A night back to 1949, all the passengers in a cabin carefully dressed themselves as 1949. The food also great, I enjoy the steak and strawberry cheesecake. Thank you for the performance of Queen City sisters. I enjoy the history stories. A wonderful experience!
July 15th was our 3rd time on the Cincinnati Dinner Train. Our first time and tonight we were celebrating our anniversary. Our anniversary is next week so we celebrated a week early. This experience never gets boring! The waitress staff were very nice and friendly. The conductor Brian did a great job explaining history along the train route. Looking forward for another trip.
My boyfriend and I rode the dinner train for his birthday. It was beautiful! A really nice date night idea or could also be fun as a group outing. If you go in a group multiples of four is the best option. If two people go you sit with another couple, theres an option to sit at a table for two but the window is a little smaller. Seats book fast and they're usually booked three months out. You can board the train between 5 and 545 and the train leaves promptly at 6. We returned some time around 9pm. Dinner is served during the course of the ride. When you first sit at your table there are plates with crackers, cheese, salami, fruit, and dip. Theres a bar and the bartenders make great drinks. The Conductor provides historical information as the ride progresses and theres even a singing group. It's really amazing! I would definitely recommend it! Ages 12 and up only.
