This place was okay. I ordered their famous reubon sandwich and it honestly was nothing special. I came in here at around lunchtime and there were a lot of people getting takeout. With that said, it's not that favorable to sit and eat as there are quite a few people standing around waiting for their order. When I ate my sandwich, the bread was a little too soft. As for the meat, it seemed kind of average. Not bad, but just not a lot of flavor. The potato patty was a bit dissipointing as well. It was not really flavorful at all. Overall, I really didn't enjoy the food. It was okay, but nothing really much more than that.

When in Cincinnati on a Friday we have the matzo ball soup. Izzy's has been a family tradition for years, so much so that we usually skip trying new places when we're downtown. It's nothing fancy but they are always hustling and bustling with customers and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you want the matzo ball soup you really do need to go on a Friday though. It's not offered other days of the week.

I've waited a long time to get their potato pancakes and was disappointed in them. They were less than room temperature and didn't seem fresh. Our sandwiches were great and the service was good

Food was good. I had a Reuben with goetta on the side.

Is there anything more Cincinnati than Izzy's? Maybe, but not many. Stacked corn beef reuben, potato pancakes, rice pudding and Dr. Brown's is a perfect meal. More tasty than healthy but that's what Saturday's are for, right? Tip: Izzy's on Elm Street across from Piatt Park is open later than the Main Street location downtown.

Thank you for the great food. I live in Texas now and when I come home to Cincinnati I always know I am going to get some great food with friendly people making it an enjoyable experience.

This is a roast beef dressed up like a rueb (Reuben.) Of course gotta get an extra cake (potato pancake). Meaty and delicious. Extra meat, extra cheese. A man's sandwich. Well worth $15. Most people would split this, but me that's dinner.

Food was good, service was a little slow but it was very busy when I was there. Kind of pricey at $16 for lunch.

I'm a sucker for a good reuben and this place knows how to do it right. Great quality and price. The potato pancake is heavenly

A fine reuben with potato pancake. Sat at the counter. Enjoyed the crew at work. Senior? ask for the discount.
