Delicious food!! The jerk chicken platter came with two sides so I had their awesome Jamaican greens and rice and peas (beans). The chicken was fall off the bone tender and was fresh and hot. The greens had right amount of spice and seasoning, and the rice and peas were good also. The slightly sweet plantains and pineapple sweet tea topped it off perfectly. Nice sized portion...I had enough left over for lunch the next day. The prices are great too. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to try the curry chicken the next time.
Went here for lunch , the jerk wings were the best , moist fall of the bone tender wings I have ever eaten , the jerks seasoning is as authentic as the food, best I have ever tasted, the collard greens were great, I have had southern greens which are excellent, these are right at the top with those, if your ever in Cincinnati and want authentic Jamaican chicken this is the place to go, small place, but we'll worth going, you will deffinately go back, I know I will.
The Jerk Chicken and french fries were amazing. Simple fare that made everything better. Washed down with a pinnaple tea that complimented the heat perfectly while adding a touch of sweet. The perfect ending was the homemade coconut ginger candy that would cure even the weariest of seafarers.
As amazing as the food was, the staff made this weary traveler feel right at home. As seen on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" did not let me down. Island Frydays is a little touch of home no matter where you are from.
P.S. They also sell their Jerk Sauce in a canning jar, it is awesome on anything.
This is the best Jerk Chicken I have had since my trip to Jamaica. The rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains were perfect too!! I cannot wait to go back!! It was totally worth the hour and a half drive from Louisville. I wish they would open one up here. (Hint hint!!) ❤️💛💚🇯🇲
The jerk wings are amazing! The flavor of the sauce goes all the way to the bone. Fall apart tender. The fries soak up the remaining sauce well. Nice variety of island theme drinks. Friendly service, brightly colored but small dining room.
This is the best Jerk Chicken I have had outside of Jamica. I HIGHLY recommend this if you like Caribbean food. Very friendly staff and customers.
Without a doubt the best jerk I've had outside of Negril! Calalloo was amazing and the rice and peas were pretty darn good as well. We will definitely be back, I have to try the brown stew.
Exceptional authentic Caribbean dishes! The jerk chicken here is the most favored but don't sleep on the oxtails they're mouth watering as well. Island Frydays has become my regular take out spot although you can dine in if you please. Island Frydays should be ones places to go in Cincinnati
This restaurant never seems to fail me, food delicious and the vibe authentic. If you haven't tried this place I recommend that you do
I'm a southerner so it had that meat & three (sides) thing I miss. We had the greens, fried fish and jerk braised chicken. All was on point. I'll definitely be back. �
Jerk chicken was AMAZING meat fell off the bone. Just the perfect amount of heat and sweet taste. French fries were good to. Definitely will go again.

Went there on a Saturday night at dinner time and between ordering and getting our food it was only 15 minutes! The food was OMG delicious 😋 and my hubby even loved it and he's such a picky eater. We took it to go cuz the thermostat was set at 76 so it was pretty hot in there but other than that no complaints whatsoever. Can't wait to go back!

We were just in Cincinnati for the weekend and just googled what’s a good place to eat. This place came up as a place to definitely try. This place delivered on our expectations. We have never had Jamaican food before so we didn’t know what to really expect. It was truly amazing and well worth the wait. The people who work here are awesome and super friendly. I’m so glad we gave this place a try and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Cincinnati.
Can't go inside, you need to order at window. But the food is amazing! I got the jerk chicken sandwich. The jerk sauce was amazing, and the chicken literally fell apart while i was eating the sandwich it was so tender and juicy! Plus, the juices are on point!
The pics doesn’t do justice. The food soooo finger licking good. I got the jerk wings with the jerk pasta. The spice has a kick, but the spice is too pleasant. If you are thinking about it just get it! A little wait (~10mins) because they are making the food as you order but the woman running this place made sure orders were being taken and given back fast. I drove 15 minutes home and my food was still hot. Absolutely delicious! I got the jerk wings, rice/peas, cabbage and sweet cornbread.
This place is amazing. Such good portions for such a good price and they brought the food so fast too! And the best part is the taste, I almost teared up at how good it was. Thank you for being awesome!
As of July 7, 2022 you still can't dine- in so call ahead. The food was pretty good and they have me a decent amount!!! I had to have my husband finish up my whiting. The Jamaican greens were well seasoned and I loved the pickled vegetables that were put over the fish. I didn't care for the plantains... it was like they weren't cooked through all the way. Hubby's jerck chicken pasta was good even though he said they were skimpy on the chicken. If you're in the Cincinnati area they're with giving a try.
I done been here a couple times the food is pretty good. Love their jerk chicken cheese fries and jerk chicken pasta two of my favorites. And they have some good drinks too.
Wow! I ordered the traditional jerk chicken dinner with rice and peas, and jerk fries. The chicken was juicy and packed with smoky jerk goodness! The rice and peas with a bit of gravy also full of flavor. The jerk fries were average, they could have had more seasoning.
The staff were friendly and and the prices were reasonable.

MY FAVORITE SPOT. I lived in the Jamaican countryside in college. This is the best Jamaican I’ve had outside of Jamaica.
I 100% recommend anything you can get here. It’s authentic and delicious. It can’t be beat.
Enjoyed an order of Jerk chicken cheese fries. They are delicious every time. I like that my order comes with a drink. I always tell them to surprise me with the flavor since everything they serve is delicious, you can't go wrong.
I like the food and so does my family. When ordering you have to stand outside and order through a window. The menu is a little confusing and portion sizes are okay. Also, they may be out of certain food items and they only serve certain food items on certain days! The people working here are friendly and parking is okay. I do recommend! Update: The lady taking orders at the window is not that friendly and also food is way too expensive for sidewalk food!
This is so good. I’ve been looking for a place for plantains, and trying different ones. This is the best, I’ve had. I also bought the brown stewed chicken, jerk chicken pasta & pineapple sweet tea.

This place is a treasure, it's no wonder Guy Fieri paid this place a visit. The meat in my wrap was so juicy and tender while being perfectly seasoned. The jerk had a very pleasant, light spice to it. The rice was perfectly seasoned as well, it was all delicious. The pineapple sweet tea is also great. Overall just a great spot.
So good and super friendly people. We love the plantains and the wings. Had the beef patty and fries too, cheese and gravy! And the pineapple tea is delicious.
