Carrie was the sweetest, after my 5.5 hour drive I stumbled on this gem, and she immediately offered to sample out different options so I could choose my favs! Great service and amazing prices! Drunken chicken and voodoo chicken were next level! 🥰
Our experience here was great! The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. We got the Bourbon street chicken and the drunken chicken, and some bread pudding for dessert. The meal itself was well worth the cost too. I don't think we'd get the bread pudd
When I visited this location, it was my first Cajun experience. Now I can’t live without Cajun food. Every single time I dine here, the experience is as vivid as the first time.

First time going there and she gave me a sample of one of the gumbos. The lady who placed our order was helpful. Definitely will be back. Ask for cornbread with the gumbo instead of the french bread (I promise it’s worth it).
I've been eating here since 2014 and am still going in November 2023 if that tells you anything. Top notch service and delicious food. My go-to is half Bumble Bee Stew and half etouffe with some of the Voodoo spice added.
Actually has really good food! The bread was pretty buttery though, I'm not sure if i would choose to go there again over something like a picnic, or just a peanut butter sandwich. The workers gave me the WiFi password which was super nice of them.

This was my 1st time foing to J Gumbo. J Gumbo is a nice spot to go if you're out late and hungry. The bourbon chicken and bumblebee was amazing... I even put a little bit of sour cream in mine. The cashier was nice, let me sample the bumblebee first, and gave good suggestions.
The two young dudes working were super nice and glad to get me samples to find what I wanted, as well as knowing some good combinations.

Went here not sure what to expect, ordered jambalaya with french bread n a side of red beans. Only way to describe the food is, Freakin fire 🔥 must try!!! Definitely will be back.

I'm still in shock that this cashier took 30 bucks and 2 orders of jambalaya had a total of 3 pieces of sausage and the bowl not even half way filled.

J. Gumbo's is one of the best places to have a bowl of chicken. They have so much on the menu but the one that stands out is the honey sriracha chicken. It is tangy and the gravy is so rich.
