As usual, The Food Hussey called it right. Silverton's donut's are the best! But don't wait too long or you'll find the store closed with their "SOLD OUT" sign on the door.
I'm just going to come out and say it. SIlverton Donut Shop's donuts are better than Holtman's. Holtman's donuts are fine and I know Cincinnati is currently swept up in a love fest for them, but Silverton's are tops in my book.
I'm a cake donut girl through and through. Silverton's cake donuts are so light and fluffy, never greasy and not overly heavy. Tear open a plain, old-fashioned cake donut and the texture inside is downright pillowy. Their cake donuts are perfectly complimented by a cup of black coffee. When someone grabs a dozen or two to bring into work, I always have a hard time deciding between powdered sugar, plain cake with chocolate frosting or a plain old fashioned cake donut. All are equally delicious.

Great donuts. Stopped by a for a quick donut. They were excellent. I got a honeymoon which is like a mix between a donut and a danish, I loved it. I plan to go back again, very great little place.
BEST DONUTS EVER!. Ridge Donut Shop has the best donuts in the city. I think the star are the cake donuts. They are crispy on the outside and then such wonderful cake on the inside! My favorite is the cake with white icing and coconut!

A Pleasant Ridge fixture for many years (some of you may remember it as the Pleasant Ridge Donut Shop), it moved to Silverton with the expansion of the UDF on Ridge Rd. That was a sad day for PR, as there aren't that many local bakeries left featuring donuts.
Best Glazed Donuts! Melt in your mouth. Light and fluffy. Delicious.
Also - Great coffee. Loved the Highlander Grog. Coffee roasted locally and delicious.
Owner and Baker Ron was very nice. Stayed open as I rushed there today to grab some yummy donuts. How have I missed this place all these years!?! Will return!

The service is wonderful. The gentleman who served us, seemed to love what he does. The donuts are fresh and delicious! Coffee is so good; beans brewed just right. I was there later in the day, got full service and a good selection of donuts. Loved the glazed cherry donuts. They are out of this world. Plenty of parking and not much of a wait.

They made an oopsie one evening, but it was the “whoops we made too many donuts” kind of oopsie so they gave me a ton of donuts to keep them from going to waste. Even though they didn’t have that amazing glazed iced blueberry donut i liked the last time i visited, i’m still in their debt for the free donuts.

I heard a lot of amazing chatter about the Silverton Donut Shop, and after having lived in the area for a year I decided I'd finally make a trip over there. Let me tell you, it was well worth it. Best yeast donut I've ever had. Fluffy with a great yeast flavor and a subtle crunch on the outside that leaves you wanting nothing more than another bite. Really friendly service and a good selection for 10am from a small bakery. I would give it more than five stars if I could!
This is the place to stop for really good donuts and coffee. The prices are great, they are made fresh every morning and they have a great attitude and pride themselves in their work (It clearly shows.) If you choose to go here, definitely get the Tiger Tails and the "Create A Dozen" :)

A hidden gem, this little donut shop has some of the best in the city. Their donuts are fresh, with a nice, crisp outside and a soft, fluffy inside - topped with all the favorites. Their hours are a bit unpredictable (when they sell out, they close), so its best to try to get there early. Everything is very reasonably priced, and the owner is delightful.
Silverton Donut has the best donuts around. They are everything a fresh donut should be. They are made fresh and delicious and with a smile. No off the wall flavors just your old fashioned cake and yeast donuts made with great ingredients and love. Stop in and try them. But go early because they only make so many and when they are gone she closes.
OMG! So buttery and flaky! The yeast based donuts are amazing! My best friend told me about this place and I finally stopped one morning for my babies. I see all the complaints but I was also forewarned that you HAVE to go early, as these "goodnesses" sell out FAST. I got there at 7am. Stop complaining and go early. Not too many amazing "mom and pop" gems left in Cincinnati.
Favorite donuts around right now, and their glazed are... I'm gonna say it... better than Holtman's right now. I stand by it
I stop in this shop whenever I can. The donuts are magic. A wonderful crispness on the outside and tender soft and light on the inside. This is how a donut should be. The lady who makes them and serves them to you is very nice as well.

This donut shop is pretty basic on the ambiance, but the donuts cannot be beat! They are vegetarian and kosher, too. The hours are a bit irregular. In addition to being closed on Mondays, there are days when they sell out very early in the day, or just don't open with only a sign on the door. Their facebook page and website are not updated with closings either.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. I have been a customer for years. This week I called to ordered donuts and Maggie told me they where not making apple fritters every day which are my family’s favorite. When I picked my order up she let me know they had made apple fritters !! I love this place and they have the best donuts in town !! This is why you support local businesses !!
