My husband loves this spot but it’s not usually my pick for food. I’m not saying the food is bad but it all depends on what you get. Their oxtail & plantains are pretty good. I love their empanadas when the cheese inside is actually melted. When the cheese is unmelted inside the texture is almost rubbery. The lady who owns it is really nice though!
Tip - ask for double green sauces for empanadas and yuca fries.
Service was quick for appetizers and 15 minutes for my sandwiches.
Ordered 2 steak and cheese sandwiches with yuca fries.
Also ordered steak empanadas with green sauce - recommend trying steak since most other places only offered chicken and ground beef.
A cute establishment at a strip mall - we were passing by and couldn’t resist stopping to try. There is parking outside and seats inside for those dining in. We did a quick take-out with ox tail stew, jerk chicken, rice and beans (or peas), and fried plantains. Everything was delicious and well seasoned - jerk chicken had a nice kick to it, ox tail was nice and tender and flavorful! The lady helping us was helpful and patient as we studied the menu and were deciding what to get. Definitely will return when we crave Caribbean food 👍
Best lunch I have had in a while. I haven't been eating meat much lately but I had to try the jerk chicken. It falls right off the bone
*came back 5 years later and tried the stew chicken. 5 stars again. So flavorful and I asked for the hot sauce this time and loved it. Bright and spicy. I would come here more often if I lived in Clayton
From start to finish, the front attendant was maximum in help and getting our order to us and making sure our food was good. Very pleased with the meal. The chicken was a tad dry, but not too severe. Thank you for the experience.
Definitely a taste from the motherland Jamaica! The Oxtail empanadas are exceptional, jerk chicken is spot-on! And you cannot go wrong with any of the vegetable selections. All taste fresh and homemade to me. So don’t be scared to try a local food business you won’t be disappointed. The only complaint I have if any, always very very hot inside, so prolly a meal to take home.
Wanted to try something new and had seen the reviews. Absolutely amazing service and food. We did a to go order and got the yuka fries, empanadas, the cuban and the steak and onion plate with rice and cabbage. Everything was delicious! This restaurant is a must go. You will not be disappointed. Their service is unmatched, so friendly, helpful and attentive.
Decided to try this restaurant today with a coworker since I am not usually in the area and I always like to try new restaurants when I can. Let me just say- this place exceeded all expectations. The review photos look so good but the taste is even better. Chicken literally melts in your mouth and the yellow rice and cabbage were delicious and flavorful and the perfect complement to the chicken. The owner (I’m assuming to be the owner as she said it was her Mac and cheese recipe) was so sweet and gave me a sample of the Mac and cheese to try! The Mac and cheese was very good as well, had a very unique taste and I already know I will be craving this place when I am back in Cary and will be happy to make the drive for such good food. I already ate like half the chicken before I took this photo but the portions are wonderful here too!
Food was great. I enjoyed the owners they were polite and tentative. Oxtail were tender and seasoned well. Rice and black beans was cooked to perfection. Hot sauce was 🔥

Staff is phenomenal,atmosphere was welcoming Grade A 100😍 Ladies Bathroom was clean,Always greeted with pleasure upon arrival.Food is the best in Clayton definitely a hidden gem. You have to try there natural drinks,passion fruit is my favorite there located right behind fast med off hwy 70 i love Caribbean food this my first time ordering from here and i was sold definitely be stopping whenever i am in the location.
This is the real thing. Cuban sandwich was excellent and made just like they're supposed to be. The lunch special is a great deal and the roasted pork was very flavorful. This was our first visit.....we will definitely be back.
The best food I've had in North Carolina in all my years living here. This food is made with LOVE. Very generous portions, every item from the entrees to the sides is perfectly cooked and delicious. Stop in sometime, you'll see the pride they have in their cooking.
