What a wonderful dining experience! We started with appetizers, calamari (best I’ve ever had!) and tuna tartare (yum). Our waiter, Jason, suggested the beet salad. It was amazing. Main course was beef tenderloin and lobster tails, cooked to perfection! It was my birthday so the birthday dessert of brûlée cheesecake and espresso chocolate cake ended the evening. This extra touches were confetti on the table and a birthday card that was signed by the staff! We will return!
I've eaten at the Capital Grille in Charlotte NC many times. This location just opened this week but I would have never known that. The ambiance, service and the food were all perfect. Have to recommend the Calamari and Cast Iron Shrimp for apps. Had 10oz Filet Oscar for entree and was cooked to perfection and the Lobster Mac n Cheese was to die for.
Go eat there as soon as you can! Incredible food and drinks!! Well done in your first week Capital Grille!!

We had an amazing experience. First time we went and would highly recommend to any steak lover. Service was impeccable and the food was divine. They even gave us champagne and strawberries for dessert to celebrate our special occasion. You won’t be disappointed.
Outrageous service and hospitality. Plus great food. The Lobster Salad is excellent. Lobster Bisque with sherry poured on top - oh my. Highly suggest you try it. Its a chain - 56 or 57 restaurants already, so there is no learning curve. They stole managers from 801 Chop amd 801 seafood among other places so there are no inexperienced staff.
We were there for a company celebration and our waiter Garrick took great care of us. The experience was wonderful from the moment we walked in the door. Would highly recommend!!
Great food and great atmosphere. I will defiantly be back. But I don't want Greg as a waiter again. Everything but the service was great , we just got a bad waiter. He often disappeared for long periods of time, talked me out of ordering the lobster Mac & cheese. Didn't bring dessert until I cancelled it and ask for the check. Except for him an outstanding addition to the local dinning scene.
My father and i had the most amazing experience at the Capital Grille, and especially with our server, Greg. He is a true professional—and just so likable. He was ready with recommendations and advice, and made our experience so amazing. Greg is a true keeper.

My wife and I loved the food, ambience, and service. I had the swordfish and she had the jumbo sea scallops and each entree was very delicious. I must say that the asparagus was cooked to perfection and even 5Star restaurants get asparagus wrong! Not this one! We will be back! We were incredibly impressed!!!
We just had the BEST anniversary dinner ever! We loved our server, Mike S.- he’s the man! He made our night so special! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!!! Our favorite restaurant, by far!!!
This is a 5 star place and the service was outstanding. My only nit is that you have to be careful ordering because the grill is so hot. I like a medium steak but I have had several come back well done +. This is the only place I order rare so it comes medium. There are lots of options for sides but the lobster Mac and cheese is a must. Go early and have a perfectly crafted cocktail by the professionals on the bar staff. You won't be disappointed.

My friend treated me to a generous pour wine experience and dinner at the Capital Grille for my birthday. It was "off the charts" wonderful. We shared the lobster and crab cakes appetizer which was so yummy. Then we each enjoyed a bowl of lobster bisque. It had huge chunks of lobster and was served with sherry we could add to enhance the flavor of the lobster. It was heavenly. The lobster was perfectly cooked and tender. We both chose dry aged KC strip Kona style for our entree. I like my steak very rare and they got this perfectly correct - crisp on the outside and red on the inside throughout. My friend ordered her steak medium rare and it was also spot on - crisp on the outside and pink throughout on the inside. The flavor of the steak could not have been more delightful. On the side we had lobster mac-n-cheese (yes, we love lobster -lol) and it was the best I've ever had. We also had creamed spinach which was amazing. They brought out a small cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake for my birthday dessert. Both were yummy! Our server, Tim, was very knowledgeable and helpful in our choices. He suggested wines in the list of seven (we tasted them all) that perfectly complimented each course. The night was a culinary delight!
Capital Grill NEVER disappoints, and tonight was no exception. We came to celebrate Mothers Day before going to the Fox Theatre. From the time we pulled up until we left we were very pleased with all aspects of the night. Valet was fast, efficient and courteous. Inside we were promptly greeted and seated. Our waiter was AMAZING and provided outstanding service. The food, WOW, Filey, "pepper" covered steak, Filet Oscar, all absolutely amazing. Lobster mac n cheese and mashed potatoes also sooooo good! Thank you Capital Grill, we will be back!

We went for a date night and couldn't have had a better experience! We ordered the calamari to start. So good! I got the salmon and it was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. My husband got the tuna steak and loved it. We shared a side of lobster Mac and cheese and sauteed spinach and they were simply amazing. We would've gotten dessert, but we were so full after all of that. We will definitely go back and save room for dessert! Our server, Corbin, was awesome and made us feel very welcome!
Brandon our waiter was hands down one of the best servers I have ever had. And the food was phenomenal.
This place without a doubt was one of the best restaurants I've ever been in. The service was probably the best I've ever had at any restaurant in my life and I'm 66. The food was absolutely great from the appetizers drinks and then the main course which was a filet for me was just great. If you're in Clayton and looking for a great place to go with a great atmosphere and just great service try the Capital grille It won't let you down.

Absolutely loved it! We went at 3pm and were the only ones in the dining room. It was very comfortable, quiet, with good music playing (jazzy). The staff were excellent, kind. The food was spectacular!! Even the cocktails were perfectly balanced.
My husband and I celebrated our 9th anniversary, the table was beautifully decorated and the staff was very attentive. Every recommended dish was well prepared and tasted delicious.

First time here and it was an interesting experience!! My friend and I wanted to eat a meal together before my flight, we decided this location. When you first work in your greeted and given the option to sit in the front more casual side or the back (more formal). We opted for the front where the bar was because we dressed casual. We tried two different appetizers, two different beef cuts, and the shareable mushroom side. It is expensive to eat here, but the service and the quality of food is up there. My only thing I didnt care for was the amount of olive oil our side dish was cooked with. We were so focused on me not being late for my flight we left out leftover food, which they pack for you. The waiter was awesome enough to catch us around the block and we went back to grab our leftovers. It was super sweet of him to do that and we really appreciate it. The service was one of my favorite things about the restaurant and also, the ribeye. Definitely a nice place to take friends for lunch or dinner and a quiet enjoyable atmosphere.
One of our very special places to go for any occasion or no occasion at all, like this time. Awesome food every time! The wine list is outstanding. Can't wait to go back again.
Upon the second attempt we had a great time. We met the executive chef Cliff and he was very warm and inviting. The food was delicious and plentiful and the drinks were stiff lol. We had the lobster and crab cakes which were yummy and full of meat. The chef brought us his favorite app which was mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto with a balsamic reduction and it was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious and everyone was super nice. It definitely was the highlight of my birthday

The waiter was very knowledgeable and welcoming, without seeming too over-the-top, which is a difficult balance to strike in my opinion.
The drinks were amazing, as was the food and ambiance. We came here for our wedding anniversary, and they went above and beyond to support our celebration.
Top-tier restaurant, top-notch experience. We'd definitely come back here again!!

Had an amazing dining experience, I ordered the lamb chops and could not stop picking at the bones. Every side was perfect, the salads were great and the appetizers were on point. The dessert was to die for. Chef Cliff, his team, Jason and the rest of the wait staff were all awesome and helped create a memorable night for our group.
