OMG I love this place. Thankfully I am not drastically affected by gluten....it just make my stomach a little upset. Typically you have to sacrifice taste when going gluten-free....But not here. I have been to New Day twice now and was blown away by the taste and texture of their food. The pizza, cookies, lasagna...wow so good. I seriously would never know their food was gluten free if someone gave it to me blindly.
Really, really excellent food. If the cafe didn't have "gluten-free" in the name, you would have no idea because everything is delicious! I am not sensitive to gluten (not even sure what gluten is), but I would eat here every day! Next time you're in Clayton, give it a try. And don't forget to take some baked goods home because they're better than most gluten stuffed baked goods you get from many bakeries.
This is such a great place for gluten-free food! The french toast and Belgian waffle are both fantastic. The flavor is rich and delicious, and the texture is on point, which is often the tricky part with GF foods. The friendly staff are welcoming and helpful. The coffee was excellent, too. My partner and I visit St. Louis from Pittsburgh regularly, and we will be sure to frequent this spot from now on!
I am not a person that has dietary restrictions but I still love to eat here because the food is sooooo good and the staff are friendly & fun. I served 4 different types of their gluten free cookies at my open house for my new office and not 1 person knew they were gluten free until I told them! Delicious!
My wife has been gluten free for 5 years. Something that developed later in life. We came here for our anniversary dinner. We ordered the lasagna and macaroni and cheese. Both meals A++++. Too full to eat any of the treats we also purchased so we ate on that night and tasted the other two the next day. All incredible! We cannot wait for our next visit. The owner was so kind to speak with us and give us her recommendations for what to try next. We interacted with two other staff and they were both over the top courteous. A tradition every year is to have cinnamon rolls Christmas morning. My wife wasn't able to share in that for many years. This year we will all be having them from New Day. Thank you!
This place rocks!!! Not gluten sensitive!? WHO CARES! Food and desserts this good and should not be reserved for gluten intolerant people! It’s just not fair to the rest of us!!! 😀 The staff is amazing too!
Today we took our daughter there for her 3rd birthday today. It was absolutely amazing. Every last bite. We didn't have to compromise taste for her having to be on a GF/CF diet. Highly recommend anyone going even if they don't necessarily have to be gluten free. Delicious!!
I have never eaten in store but have ordered baked goods from home and everything was fantastic. My husband stopped yesterday for me and brought me garlic cheese bread to make me for supper. It has been a long time since I’ve had that. It was great. I will recommend to everyone I can.
My boyfriend got us several of the dairy free gluten free cupcakes for Valentine's Day, and they all were amazing!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a DF GF option!! We will be going back for more treats soon! :)
We absolutely LOVE everything they make at New Day Gluten Free! It’s an amazing experience to be able to chooose anything on the menu! And we are working our way through that beautiful menu....one meal & treat at a time :)
It was so good! I was able to choose whatever I wanted on the menu! I haven’t been able to do that since 2010! I got to have dessert and brought a home some for later! I have no complaint about my experience there, everyone was nice and very friendly! It’s my new favorite place to eat:)
Nothing makes me happier than being able to walk into a place and know I can actually eat the food being served. Not only do I have tons of options here, but it's delicious! Great selection of gf and df, and even cute designs like a duck cookie!! I'm moving to the area soon and can't wait to come here more often.
My family and I just came here for an early dinner-amazing isn’t a strong enough word. For someone that hasn’t been able to eat out in a year, this meant the world to me. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the menu was great. I got many items to go as well that I can’t wait to enjoy later. Thank you again to the staff for allowing my family and I to dine in even though they were getting ready to close. You’ll never know how much it was appreciated and how nice it was to sit down to a stress free meal with my husband again
Best gluten free food I’ve ever had! I got the biscuits & gravy & cheesy garlic bread & a red velvet cupcake. I was so excited to try new day and I wasn’t disappointed at all will definitely be back, they make having celiac disease easy
Yesterday I picked up a delicious chocolate cake that was better than any wheat flour cake I've had in a long time. The staff, as always, was friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip a wonderful experience. I'd recommend their café to anyone, regardless of their dietary needs.
A little pricey but worth it!!
Make everything from scratch including chips and sandwich buns. That I could tell anyway.
Chips - 4⭐ I prefer a thinner chip.
Gooey butter cookie - 5⭐second fav!!
Turkey bacon club - 4.9⭐
Gooey cake - 100⭐ My fav!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Lemon poppy loaf - 3.5⭐🥺 not very lemony.
Chocolate fudge - 5⭐
Cinnamon Rolls - 3⭐ maybe it needs to be warmed up. Had a chalky taste but icing was amazing!
Very impressive bread. Brownie was awesome. Soups were good. Great selection. Only complaint is the low quality cheese. I would expect a boutique place like this to have higher quality cheese and more vegetables on the menu. Would still definitely go again.
So happy to find a gluten free haven in St. Louis! The food was super yummy, and the staff really kind. The mac & cheese was delicious, very creamy and cheesy. Also, try a gooey butter cookie. It was amazing.
New Day Gluten Free Bakery was an amazing dining experience. I got french toast for breakfast, and loved it. I also got a cake pop, which I ate right after I left in my car. I LOVED IT HERE. I am from out of town and don't have a place like this near me.
Absolutely love this place. It's a bit pricey compared to other restaurants, so I save it for a special treat once in awhile. They have a great variety of gluten free baked goods. I've tried the frosted cookies, cupcakes, and the brookie and they are all great. The food is made from good quality, fresh local ingredients. I recommend eating in. I took a sub to go once and it was not nearly as good reheated at home. They also do custom orders and custom cakes.
I do think the coffee is lousy and the potato salad needs more zing (mustard?) and more salt, but it's not enough to dock a star... Maybe they will read this comment and improve those two items ;-)
I am from out of town and am here for business. I stopped here for lunch. I am not gluten sensitive, but it looked like a nice place from the street. I was very impressed with the food. I had a sandwich and a dessert. The food was quite filling and delicious. The wait staff was courteous and helpful. I will come back when I'm in the area. Great Café!!!
First time visitor today. There is a brunch menu on Sundays and I was excited to try the biscuits and gravy. It was very good! The biscuits were large and although not as fluffy as biscuits with gluten (of course), they were delicious. We bought a bunch of goodies to go. :)
I meant to post a picture of the lasagna before I started eating it...but couldn't resist!
Seriously, my first trip here was amazing. Thank you New Day Gluten Free!
I don't ask for much for my birthday, but there better be cake, and I better not have to make it myself. My SO ordered me a German chocolate cake and it was as beautiful as it was delicious! Everything here is fantastic whether sweet or savory. Thank you New Day!
Very tasty food, good service and SO MANY OPTIONS for gluten free people!! Ambiance and seating area is nice too but Iwill be back every time I'm in St. Louis.
My partner got to eat his first waffle since he got his celiac diagnosis. I have no words for how glad I am that we have this. I'll do a more thorough review later. For now, just know that my partner was struggling, and you made his life easier.
Excellent food as always! This restaurant is 100% gluten free. Even if You aren't gluten free, the food is awesome. You should definitely check it out.
I was so excited to find this place as I travel all the time and don’t find many places that truly accommodate Gluten Intolerance! I wish we had one of these in Tulsa, OK! The food was amazing! We had a variety of food, the Egg meal, Biscuits and gravy and French toast. It was all amazing! We traveled 20 minutes out of our way to eat here and it was completely worth it and I would do it again! The staff was also amazing and the restaurant was clean.
Let me first say that I do not write reviews too often (which I should do more). I really felt the need to review New Day Gluten Free. This past weekend I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. I gave them a few ideas and their cake decorator incorporated them perfectly. She loved the design on the cake, but more importantly the taste! It was one of the better cakes I have had and when we told people it was gluten free they could not believe it. Our cake was chocolate with chocolate icing (wife loves chocolate). My friend and I also ate lunch here when we went to pick up the cake. We both got the Italian sandwich and it was awesome. This was my first experience with New Day Gluten Free, but I will definitely be coming back!
We LOVE this place! The food is excellent and it's safe for our daughter. She has a peanut allergy and they have no peanuts on the premises. At the time of our visit they had pecans and coconut, but the staff is well trained in cross contamination avoidance and were able to safely accommodate us.
I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage. May not be the healthiest option on the menu, but it's great!
This was a great refreshing atmosphere. I absolutely love that they were 100% gluten free. It gives a worry free environment for celiac and gluten intolerant people. Staff was very friendly and recommended items that they enjoyed.
I found the food delicious, even as an eater without restrictions.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
They also serve breakfast items all day long!
Absolutely my favorite place to eat in St Louis. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. The only downside is that my choices are limitless and that can be overwhelming because I'm not used to having options when I eat out.
They baked my grandmother's 95th birthday cake and did an excellent job. No one knew it was gluten free.
The new location is great but needs more parking. Love love love new day gluten free! Waiting impatiently for them to expand to Seattle. 🤗

I recently discovered that I'm gluten sensitive which makes eating anywhere else but home very difficult. For the most part I have sacrificed enjoying a meal out with family because eating something with even a risk of cross-contamination isn't worth it because I feel horrible afterward. I was thrilled when I found out about New Day here in St. Louis! At our first visit we tried the lasagna, biscuits and gravy, cheesecake, and a brownie. Yes, you can order breakfast and dinner at the same time of day and they were all very good! My husband doesn't have a gluten restriction and he loved everything as well. I'm excited about ordering some sweets and freshly baked breads and having them shipped to my home! What a nice option! :)
