This is one of our Favorite places to get pizza in STL area. Wood fired pizza puts regular pizza to shame, and it's not that expensive. We got the Mexican Street Corn as the appetizer and it was delicious (last time we got the toasted ravioli which is really good as well). Great gluten free options. Plus we couldn't pass up the homemade cookies for dessert 🍪. We've eaten here multiple times now and everything is always amazing.

Yum, yum, yum!!! The pizza there is amazing. I wish we had one in MN I would order from there all the time. I'm not a big fan of the toasted ravioli, though. I expected more cheese inside and not all beef. The pizza made up for it, though. I will have to get a few different items next time I am in town, though, and see what else tastes good on the menu!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been so finally made it back. Our server Ellie was fantastic. Nice atmosphere with plenty of seating. And not too loud. I’m partial to the involtini. It’s amazing. Could be had as a meal. We tried the bbq chicken pizza - good The prosciutto pizza - good. Would suggest without the potatoes and garlic. Garlic cloves were a bit too much for me. The chocolate chip cookies were served warm and quite good! Would recommend and will go back!

We entered Peel for the first time today. We were welcomed by incredibly happy staff. The food was beyond exceptional. The Wood Fired Lobsters Pizza is a divine surprise. It was truly the best pizza we have ever eaten anywhere in this entire country. We also enjoyed every bite of the Farmers Salad, Wood Fired Shrimp and a made to order, hot in a pan, exquisite Apple Pie topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Each and every bite of our meal was absolutely followed by "oh my god this is so delicious". We took a moment to ask if a manager was available for a few questions and raves. Marlene, the manager, approached our table with a beautiful smile. We asked her to join us for a moment. We had a wonderful heartfelt conversation. We specifically asked, "why is everyone that works here so happy"? After talking with Marlene, it is clear, the chef and owners set the tone for this exceptional restaurant. This restaurant is a fantastic example of how to create and maintain a standard of excellence in food, atmosphere and friendly staff. Bravo to every employee that made our night special. We will be back and we highly recommend that you don't miss out on anything that this restaurant has to offer.

This is our family favorite spot. We have yet to find a Mac and cheese that tops it. All of the wood fired options especially the unique wings provide so many options. It’s a great place to keep coming back to try more. And save room for the perfect desserts.

This place has absolutely amazing pizza and roasted ravioli. We went for lunch and our server was completely on point. Kind, friendly, attentive, speedy. I'd give it 6 stars.

Peel is the best of the best! One of those restaurants that you can close your eyes and point to something on the menu and it will be the best thing you’ve ever had. Everything is made from scratch so it’s really healthy and so delicious. Their salad dressings, dipping sauces and everything is made in house. Peel cooks their pizzas in a 802 degree wood fire oven, which is a craft and art form all in itself. Peel is also a brewery with the best beers, changing all season long. You can do a flight so you can sample multiple!The owners are pastry chefs, so they make the perfect pizza and their desserts are out of this world! One of the most important things to note is that they have the best wings on planet Earth! The wings are healthy, not breaded or fried - baked in the wood fire oven to healthy goodness! Don’t skip out on their ranch and blue cheese for dipping- truly the best I’ve ever had. Clayton is their 3rd location in addition to Edwardsville and O’Fallon, IL. My personal favorite menu items: fire/garlic wings with their house ranch or blue cheese, kale ceasar salad with salmon or chicken added, apple Gorgonzola salad, wild mushroom soup, formaggio pizza, wild mushroom pizza, margherita pizza, and any desserts! Don’t forget to try their brewery items. They also sell growlers and crowlers to have more at home and for parties!

Open environment so when packed can become loud. Service was good, no complaints but working on details and communication can make what was OK service become great service / missing the wow factor. food, similar to the service, missing the wow! . Crust light and airy sauce perfect, cheese flavorful. The pepperoni fell short, wood fired pizza should not have hormel pepperoni on it. 7.9 out of 10

Sometimes a server with personality makes the meal. Grant was great, but the food itself was solid competition. Diplomatico rum at the bar was nice. Garlic fire wings… not actually on the menu, but exceptional… though somewhat greasy. Pizza was great as well.

Nice place, unfortunately in downtown Clayton so parking is a headache. The food though is great. The garlic cheese ciabata is very good, comes with both marinara and a cheese sauce. The pretzel rolls and wings are also good. They use wood fired oven for most things, which lends itself to really good pizza. Other than the parking, the only real downside is that they serve Pepsi products.

Cute little place and has a nice vibe to it. It’s also cool to watch the wood fired pizza being prepared. I am happy with the vegetarian options on menu. The Wild Mushroom pizza was really good and cheese loaded (I ❤️ cheese, so wouldn’t complain). Vodka pizza is pretty yummy too. I was also told that Chicken Tikka Pizza was amazing with the right combination of Indian Chicken Tikka, a little bit of rice and the pizza base!

Good pizza that was wood fired. A unique taste. Atmosphere was nice. Seemed ideal for casual eating and get togethers. We went there with another group a few years later. I can say the same thing.

We go for early dinner ordered wood fried cauliflower, build your pizza. Very good food and excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend this place.
